"That old man." Jung Hwa scoffed with irritation written over his face. "Fire him. We don't need someone who can't even resist mixing his private life and his work life."
"I understand." Han Seoyeon replied, as expected the four iron clad rules of the boss never giving a second chance was correct. After their briefing, Jung Hwa stood up from his seat. Han Seoyeon's eyes followed his movement as spotted his necktie crooked. She walked in front of him. "Pardon me, CEO Jung, your necktie is crooked." As she spoke, she fixed his tie gently.
Jung Hwa stood there, gazing at her who had her gaze fixed to his necktie and a smile rested on his lips. "I've finished." Han Seoyeon took a step back without noticing the gaze that was aimed to her.
"You should also tie my necktie in the morning." Jun Hwa said with a sweet smile. "I would be glad to have someone taking care of this." He pointed his finger to his blue necktie.
Her eyes grew unfocused from his smile but she was fast to hold her expression. Han Seoyeon knew that Jung Hwa was a handsome and charming man but when he smiled, his face made her heart thudding loudly. As a particular emotion bloomed in her heart, the pit-a-pat sound that almost rang to her ears.
She was too conscious. She thought and Jung Hwa was too touchy feely after his confession to her or a.k.a. "The her" in Wan Seulgi's identity.
"Let's go now." His words brought her back for her to follow him from behind.
"Thank you for the meeting today, Mr. Won. It was a great time to be able to discuss this matter with you." Jung Hwa reached out his hand and shook hand with the man's in front of him. "Likewise, Mr. Jung as everyone had said, you are a very promising man's with a talent. I would be glad to have someone like you under me but I know it's impossible." Mr. Won laughed and Jung Hwa replied with a laughter. "Well, yes unfortunately."
"Oh! How about this, my daughter had just graduated from university three months ago, she's a good girl and even if I'm not her father I would say that she is a very beautiful girl, would you mind meeting her some times?"
Han Seoyeon who stood beside Jung Hwa shifted her gaze from Mr. Won toward Jung Hwa. Her mild gaze was unjudging as always but it deepened from the question and she wasn't aware of it herself.
"I have to apologize." Jung Hwa's words surprised the people on the place. Usually he would reply with 'If I have a time to meet her' or 'that would be great' but now he replied firmly to his rejection. "I have someone who already caught my eyes, you see. But I'm sure your beautiful daughter would be able to meet someone more perfect than me."
Seeing his unyielding gaze, Mr. Won didn't push the matter and only lightly rubbed his shoulder. "I would believe what you say then, see you again."
"Likewise." Jung Hwa turned away from the spot, walking down the hallway before stopping. Han Seoyeon who was in a deep thought didn't know when he stopped and bumped to his back. She rubbed her nose, thinking that Jung Hwa was too firm that she almost felt like she bumped to a wall.
"What is it, Secretary Han?" He asked.
Han Seoyeon tilted her head and repeated in puzzled. "What is it?"
"You didn't notice?" He asked and She saw him having a small smirk as he added his question. "You have been staring at me quiet passionately, do you know?"
Han Seoyeon's first reflex were to cover her eyes clumsily before she heard him chuckling and complained. "I wasn't thinking of anything CEO Jung, I was only thinking that you were a capable person."
"Really?" Jung Hwa lifted his brows and smirked. "I wasn't saying anything."
Seeing his happy grin, Han Seoyeon complained. "Are you having fun teasing your Secretary, CEO Jung?"
"Very." He crosses his arm and bent his back, making sure that nothing else reflected on her eyes other than him. "Your reactions are adorable and very amusing for me to wait for."
Han Seoyeon felt her earlobes turning red again. Deep down, she argued. Why could he complements other without being embarrassed?!
She covered her flushed earlobes in between her thumbs and index finger. Walking before him, she spoke. "Let's go, CEO Jung were late for the next agenda."
Jung Hwa crossed his arm to his back calling her with a teasing tone. "Wait, Secretary Han I'm still didn't finished our conversation before." He looked at her go and chuckled to whisper. "Damn adorable."
When Han Seoyeon went back home, the sky had turned inky black. She stepped down from her bus, yawning before taking small steps that slowly brought her to her apartment. She glanced up, gazing at the black sky languidly and fell to a light contemplation.
Jung Hwa, CEO Jung, her boss and the CEO of Altar Cooperation. For now, Jung Hwa still didn't seem to know the identity of the Wan Seulgi he met in the cafe, however, for some reason she felt her consciousness grew around him. Also, her opinion of him had changed drastically since the first day they met.
As he thought about him, she remembered his gentle yet teasing tone calling her adorable and felt her heart rate raced again. Placing a hand over her chest she shook her head and broke to a smile.
Walking to another turn of block, suddenly Han Seoyeon heard a footsteps sound. Her raven eyes became alarmed as she turned to the source of the footsteps to see a person who she knew well.
No, she didn't only know him well, she knew him because he was one of her biggest misfortune problem source! The man was the head manager of the Wole Company who she There coffee upon!
"What are you doing here?" She asked with skepticism. There would be no way there's an amazing coincidence that the person who she had a great embroiled with would suddenly appear to the street near her house, would it?
The head manager had a dark expression. The rim of his eyes turned red and so did his cheeks. Even though their distance was feet apart, Han Seoyeon could sniffed the reek alcohol odor from the man. To mention, at that time, the street was spookily empty from people with only two of them around in a secluded alley. Seeing her surrounding, Han Seoyeon couldn't help but to feel a bad hunch warning her.
Something was telling her that her situation right now is gravely dangerous!
