Chapter 6 - Matching

Serenity walked out of her room in a slightly oversized red, black, grey, and white plaid shirt, white tube top, black jeans, and white air forces. Her black bag that carried her books was in her left hand and her phone was in her right.

"Adrian! Are you ready? We have 3 more minutes until we have to go!"

"I'm coming out!"

Adrian walked out of his room with a red and white t-shirt, black jeans, and white air forces. His black bag was slung over his shoulder as he strutted out.

"So, you asked what color I was wearing to match with me?"

"Yup."

"You know people are going to look at us like a couple, right? We're wearing the same colors and the same shoes."

"That's exactly what I want them to think."

Serenity blushed and ran to the door.

"Come on!"

Adrian opened the door for Serenity and bowed.

"My lady, please go through before me." He spoke in a unique British accent.

Serenity stared at his gesture and laughed.

"Thank you, Sir Adrian." Serenity replied in the same accent.

Adrian smiled.

**As they're walking**

"You know sleeping in isn't a good impression of yourself." Serenity lightly chuckled.

"Didn't you sleep in also?"

"No. I've been awake since 4:15 am. I've just been up pondering about things."

"What were you pondering about?"

"Things that I'm not going to tell you."

'Little does he know that it was his fault.'

"Fine then. I was up all night because of you."

"What did I do to affect your sleep?"

"You affected my sleep by existing. I was up all night thinking of you."

Serenity looked shocked.

"You're serious?"

Adrian didn't answer. He just looked at her with a serious face.

"So, you are serious..." Serenity muttered.

"Why else would I make such a bad impression of myself to you?"

Serenity blushed.

"You're cute when you blush." Adrian smiled.

Serenity's whole body turned red and she sped up her walk.

Adrian quickly caught up to her.

"Where are you going? Aren't we supposed to be walking together?"

"You just.."

"I just what?"

Serenity rolled her eyes and sped up again.

'I'm gonna get used to this.' Adrian smiled.

"Wait up!"

*Lunchtime*

"Adrian, this is my best friend, Lucia Lilan. Lucia, this is my friend and roommate, Adrian Weila."

"Nice to meet you, Adrian."

"Same here."

As they walked to the lunch line, Adrian's friend, Carlos showed up.

"Hey Adrian...and Lucia?"

"Nice to see you again, Carlos." Lucia replied sarcastically and rolled her eyes.

"Heh... Sorry." Carlos rubbed the back of his neck. "I didn't expect you to know Adrian."

"I don't really know him. We just met."

"Oh, that explains it."

"So, Lucia and Adrian, who's this?" Serenity interrupted.

"This is my best friend, Carlos Mito. We go way back." Adrian responded with emphasis on the way.

"This is also my childhood friend. We lost contact, but I didn't expect him to be at Star College." Lucia responded while staring Carlos down.

"We lost contact. How was I supposed to tell you what college I was going to?" Carlos said sheepishly.

"Tch." Lucia rolled her eyes again.

"Anyways, Carlos, this is my best friend, Serenity Luope."

"Nice to meet you, Serenity."

"You too, Carlos." Serenity showed him an amiable smile.

Carlos nudged Adrian, pulled him back, and looked at him teasingly.

"She's cute." Carlos whispered in his ear.

"I want her to be my girlfriend soon, so back off." Adrian glared at Carlos.

"Fine." Carlos laughed. "Anyways, I like Lucia, so I won't come for Serenity."

"I can tell you like her. Why else would you let her have that much 'control' over you."

"You can tell?! Is it that obvious?!"

"I don't think so, but I've known you for so long. If I can't understand you, I don't know who can."

"That makes complete sense. I'm such an idiot." Carlos hit his head with his fist.

"I know."

"Hey!" Carlos puffed childishly.

"You said it. I was just agreeing to your statement." Adrian looked at Carlos mockingly.
