It all started 11 years ago when Kaylie's parents died in a car crash. She's 12 now. She was the only survivor. Her aunt and uncle don't like her. Her mom is her aunts sister. Kaylie's mom was always so perfect. Got into a really nice school got perfect grades. Kaylie's aunt hated her "the perfect daughter" is what she always called her. She wasn't happy when she got landed with Kaylie. In fact she treated her like she was nothing. Kaylie's life is pretty normal (expect that she lives with her aunt and uncle) for the first part or so she thought.

Today is a day that Kaylie despises. Her uncle was reading the paper. Her aunt was peeking out the window to spy on the neighbors. Aunt Penny was always at a consistent war with the neighbors. One they didn't know about at least. Kaylie was woken up pretty harsh today. Uncle butch was pounding on the door with his fist. It was her "sister's" birthday. She was forced to call her cousin sister all her life. Anyways apart from that her "sister" (we will call her Nikki) is spoiled. Nikki gets everything she wants. On the other hand Kaylie is stuck with hand-me-downs of Nikki's. All of her cloths are second hand or it was on clearance. Anyways today is Nikki's birthday. Kaylie always dreads this day. She's forced to do all of the chores in the house so it will be a "special day" for Nikki. Then she gets sent to one of the neighbors house for them to watch her while Nikki is somewhere having fun. Kaylie hates her neighbors house. It's smells of cat pee. Miss Peach always showed pictures of her cat. Sometimes Kaylie would get lucky and was able to read a book. Just as Kaylie was thinking about her dreadful day with Miss Peach her thoughts were interrupted. "AHA" Uncle Butch yelled joyfully. He finally looked up from the paper. "Summer camp! We will send her to this Summer camp here in a few towns over!" "Summer camp?" Aunt Penny repeated. "Yes! A summer camp!" He said joyfully "12-13 year olds! It's perfect!" "What?" Said Kaylie "Summer camp. You are going to this summer camp that actually last the whole summer. Every one in the town is going!" Uncle butch said. Kaylie thought about it. Hopefully Misokie goes to. She thought. "Fine" she said. "I hope Nikki isn't coming" she muttered to herself. Nikki looked around astonished. "ARE WE FORGETTING ABOUT ME! ITS MY BIRTHDAY AFTER ALL!" Screamed Nikki. Kaylie couldn't help but keep in a laugh. "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT!" Screamed Nikki "Now Now dear" said Aunt Penny. "You can go to." Nikki's stomped to her room. "Looks like we are not going anywhere today." Said Aunt Penny "go pack Kaylie NOW!." Kaylie ran to her room.
