Using the 1 win rule, PvP is the hottest casual event on Visions of Terra. Just fighting one time and every matches, win or lose will automatically recorded within their individual data.
2 - 2
But for some reason, Lugh is using the standard set of rules in PvP, wherein instead of winning and emerged victorious in one attempt, a player has to defeat his enemy three times to gain 'One' win over his data.
But unlike any other PvP rules such as team matches, free-for-all and base capturing or whatnot, Lugh happens to enjoy this kind of rules for one sole reason.
To practice.
And right at this moment, in front of him is a young man with an Avatar that uses sword and shield just like he usually did. Waiting for the battle to commence.
There are many types of variation for all the players of Visions of Terra. They were called or classified as [Class] by many gamers whose veteran in MMORPG genres:
First is the usual and common class where an individual is using a single sword, twin swordstyle, or sword and shield. There are many types of sword and shield depending on individual liking but Lugh is attached on using the short sword but couldn't be identified as a knife.
Person who specialize in this field are often called as the Swordsman.
Of course just like a dual sword, a player can also use a piece of shield to partner with their sword, some even carries dual shields instead of sword-shield combo depending on how heavy they prefer. From small round shield to big and heavy shield, in which, everyone often called them as Tanks---main tank and sub-tank.
Second is Magic, where a player is required to memorize an [Aria] or a chant attached on every spell they're using. Thus everyone is calling them a Mage or Magicians.
But because of these restrictions called [Aria], they are often called Scholar as only smart-ass people can memorize chunni-like aria in each spells they've unleashed.
There's no specific requirements of learning a spells other than its just too pricey. Currently, only one spell are known on its destructiveness.
Mages can recover their mana from mana recovery in relation to their equipment or items, but because of this many restrictions and the equipment slots of Dial, only a handful of people is trying to master these class.
Next, the third type is called Hado. unlike Magic, a player has to be static or should have to stay still to charge their Qi while putting their hand below their waist like that of a classic anime did; one hand is enough.
Although not as strong as Magic, Hado can strengthen the owner's damage output or create a shield themselves, albeit fragile compared to a normal shield.
Hado even gives a short duration of invincibility frame where one couldn't receive any damage during the set amount of timeframe, that is why, this class is the most common and popular to almost majority. The common selling point is that, unlike mana, there's no such thing as mana recovery equipment or item to regenerate Qi other than by manually charging it. Everyone who masters this type are often called as Qi Master.
Still, because charging and learning [Skills] is faster than becoming a sitting ducks like mage who often seated and buys expensive equipment related to it and learn expensive [Spells], many players decided to be a Qi Master, instead. Especially common to f2p(free2play) players.
But because very few are using classic and one-dimensional Class, majority of player mastered two of this three types. Such as Mage who uses sword or shield. Qi Master that uses heavy shield to sustain and stay in the battlefield much longer.
Using this innovative moves is where 'secret' types or classes are born. Such as [Tank Hado] that can sustain longer by tanking higher damage by inputting defensive skills such as Qi Barriers.
[Magic Tank] where mages hides behind their shield while chanting powerful spells and throw it to an enemy to annihilate them.
Or even Mage-Hado combo who said to be the hardest class to master.
Thus, many players keep on taking the normal route, by mastering sword and shield instead. That is why, it isn't common for a player who are using this basic types.
As time passed, however, there are many type of classes that is reborn from this variations adding with the item comsumables. And because you can change your types or class anytime you wanted just by changing items physically, everyone is not in a hurry to specialize in one Class and instead, still learning and exploiting the game until the recent date.
Adding that the system only has four portions of default cosumable items; Blood Potion, Mana Potion and two consumables---and only had two item slots for weapon that are connected onto their Firmament Dial, rare class become a normal class to everyone's perspective, adding the limitation of two different classes.
The same reason why Lugh is using this PvP rules, mainly because he can experiments what suits him best. He realized that using sword and shield indeed gives him best mobility and defense, but in return he lacks damage output to finish the enemy on his own using swift successive attack, or not enough defense to sustain.
Good thing he has an extra equipment that gives him a sword with the same size of his current equipment
Hence this time, he is using a dual sword and is trying to practice it. The same reason why he had two loses. Good thing he return back the win just now. Thus the score is 2-2.
Last time, he uses sword and shield but this time, he is eager to increase his battle sense and destructive damage.
Charge---!
He kicked off the ground as the final battle commenced.
"You won't get me with your dual swordstyle again!" He claimed. His opponent didn't change his battle style and still using his two sword which surprises the former.
Why on earth did his opponent decide to change its style in each and every round? There, he realized that his opponent is testing the dual swordstyle, thus he snatch two wins successively.
He couldn't careless but for some reason, he was defeated by his opponent, Lugh, with VoT name: [Blind Zero] once using this swordstyle. Not only that, Lugh's mobility and successive attacks increases tremendously which freak him out
But this mobility gives Lugh more burden as his maneuverability is a total mess in return.
"Fast! But you're predictable"
Knowing Lugh's attacks is always charging and then sidestep and follow up an attack thereafter, he timed Lugh's charge and wanting to end it fast, but he was then shocked that Lugh started to zigzagged in unpredictable way, dodging his initial attack in short distance using the tip of his feet to change his direction.
"W-what the!?"
His opponent is aware that Lugh is using his Terra Avatar. Realizing such monstrous maneuverability while moving like that of an action star, thinks that Lugh, his opponent might hacking.
"Damn it!" the opponent cursed.
Lugh then swept his sword in hard swing, making his opponent swayed to the side after blocking with its shield.
On his other end, Lugh switched his hilt in return grip and swung his other sword then lean his body forward and with heavy force, thus increasing his centrifugal force.
"Urgh!"
But it relentlessly blocked with his opponent's sword with gritting teeth.
Moments later, his opponent balance somehow turned awkward after blocking Lugh's relentless swing.
"How can you improve this much just after changing your weapon!? Damn, this is why I hate talented protagonist!" said by his enemy as if he's an actual villain. Indeed, in his eyes, Lugh is slowly adapting from their past battles. And this time, the opponent felt helpless and owned by him
Sadly for him though, when it comes to this, Lugh is more silent than Eliot when fighting in PvP battle arena.
He's far too concentrated on killing his opponent that he doesn't have any leeway to reply nor knowing his opponent's face or their name. Rather, all within his mind is to 'kill' or 'win'.
The enemy couldn't cope up with Lugh's sudden barrage that he is cut in half after Lugh's sword slipped passed during his awkward stance.
"Argh!" gritting his teeth and before shattering into a piece of glass, he muttered, "Blind Zero was it? I'm sure we'll met again someday"
Crash──!
His opponent turned into cubes and dispersed.
"Hmm? what did he just say?" It was only this time that Lugh return back to his senses when---
[ T E R R A ! ]
One by one, letter by letter. The word Terra emerged on Lugh's AR with rich design adding with few sparks of fireworks.
Signifying that the match is finally over.
After that, the terrain returned back to the original and real world.
"Fuuuuuuuu-----"
With long and heavy breath, Lugh lowers his upper body, touching his knee with both of his hands.
Dual swordstyle drained his stamina double than the norm. But he realized, that he has indeed become stronger and sharper just changing to these style.
There are many things to improve though, such as, on where to slash after parrying and if possible, he wanted to master parrying and attacking at the same time. He also wish he could fly or rotate his body mid-air to attack. He did it using Multi-Dimensional Treadmill with Cable installed, but he believed he is physically fit enough to use it using his Terra Avatar.
He wanted to compare the feeling right away but his thought tells him that this is impossible as he is too poor to afford the MDT.
With that, he remembered Maine but he shook his head, instead.
"She already bought us Firmament Dial and even our own set of equipments. Eliot and Eska is right, she helped us enough, and we should know on how to draw the line"
He muttered and breathed heavily again.
After all of that, he again entered the PvP zone and the terrain changed again for the second time.
•°•°•°•°•°•
"There he is"
Not far from Lugh's location, he's is seen by Eliot who is searching for him. Eskaka and Maine followed suit.
They've talk of what just happened. About Lugh's action, but Maine insists it doesn't bother her at all after receiving the remaining Egg.
"Jeez Maine, Lugh is so spoiled, I'm jealous" Eska frown while Eliot scratches the back of his head.
Maine explained that they should apologize to their friend. Although it was Lugh's fault for summoning the creature, in the end, they've still defeated it. That is why, they should reconcile today rather than later.
"Eh-eh? wh-why though? I can't even dare to challenge Gold and Myriad alone in the first place even if you return it" Maine reasoned out with her knee touching their both ends. She bashfully turned red which made the others who witnessed this cuteness, somewhat angry with mix of envy. Angry and jealous of Lugh, that is.
"Hmm, true enough jeez, why am I so worked up with it anyway? Argh, I mean. We know that... just that, I'm worried that we just wasted your Egg. I-I'm sorry" Eska thumped his head and apologize.
"Cheh, I told you-mon!" Doumon retort with arm across.
"Its alright, we can't raid it without Lugh anyway, so do not fight anymore with just the simple egg. I promise I won't get angry no matter the outcome of the raid" she positioned in between Eska and Doumon as they've started walking towards Lugh.
'With just the simple egg, she say?'
'As if that egg is cheap!'
'No matter what, I want to experience that Myriad again with Lugh!'
The three men couldn't help but thought.
Moments later, they've finally arrived where Lugh is doing an acrobatic form. somersaulting and continue slashing.
"He's really is nimble"
"That form. He's using dual swordstyle?"
There's a specific distance for a spectator to see the VoT player's 'Field' when they're in PvP or hunting monsters, which is why, they hasn't yet to see Lugh's Terra Avatar or his opponent, and instead just his movements and actions.
Looking at his acrobatic moves made them realize that he is indeed cut above the rest. He is entirely different when playing Visions of Terra.
In these aspect why he is regarded highly by his peers.
Before they arrived, the battle is already ended and Lugh saw them coming over for some reason as sweat is dripping off of his face.
He is somewhat weary and is huffing violently.
