'Painful!'
'How excruciatingly painful!'
'I've never been so scared in my entire life!'
A strange place covered in cobwebs appeared in front of Jwala Joshi as he grabbed at his chest. His heart beat so fast that he felt certain he'd really experienced someone operating with bare hands on his open heart. They'd put something inside of him during his coma.
Had he finally come awake?
He attempted to move his hands, but his fingers couldn't claw away into the darkness of the room, however, he seemed completely unable to move despite his best efforts.
'I really feel it beating inside of me, a strange device. Think! There has to be a reason you woke up after all these years! After all those years of darkness, whatever pulled me into it has finally let me out!'
Jwala Joshi had been years in a wash of sickness and health finally found courage to focus on his heart. The device that devils placed in his heart ticked and tocked as his fingers lifted into the air.
Seconds seemed like hours as his hand opened and finally covered his face. He made friends with the fog in the darkness, and got strength from the strange sound beating in his heart.
A voice started to call to him in his head, and tell him to "RISE". The loud reverberations from the hoarse voice shattered the glass barrier between him and reality.
'I'm really out of my coma after dozens of years being shamed by those filthy bastards. Whatever this heart is led to my escape, and I also can tell it will lead to worse nightmares than what I could ever imagine.'
Jwala Joshi stood up.
'It's still so scary.'
'Could this all be a trick?'
'Is this another trap to make me suffer for being born different?'
Jwala Joshi heard the loud voice from the device implanted inside his abdomen. It seemed to move around his insides and into his mouth before he fell and felt like vomiting.
'Horrible!'
'Did they implant something that can move inside of me?! Have I done something so terrible that I deserved to be tortured?'
'Wait, what's this? This? Is that a mirror. Is this really me?'
Jwala Joshi pushed his two arms off the ground before he felt the strange device in his mouth leave and exit his body. His eyes blurred before he heard a fading laugh echoing and exiting the room.
"My child. You've been reincarnated. Your suffering has only begun."
The room stayed quiet as Jwala Joshi remained in fetal position laughing hysterically on the floor. He felt an unbearable sense of freedom.
'I understand now. It must have been responsible for the nightmares. Did it do it to strengthen my heart, or my resolve? My body feels stronger, but I don't know how long it will be before I go insane.'
The moonlight painted Jwala Joshi's figure as he pushed himself to his feet, again and again until he stood tall. His legs trembled from what felt like years of not standing, but his desire to reach the doorway penchantly stirred him to the handle.
He thrust open the doorway, and stumbled into a young nurse whose body could not contain his fall. His weight crushed into her tight, petite frame and out came a scream from her pink lips.
"You demon! You can't be awake! It's impossible!"
Jwala Joshi forced himself up to look at the nurse only to find a syringe in the grasp of her small pale hands. Her red hair lay disheveled as her face screamed before she stabbed at Jwala Joshi's arm.
The syringe. What happened to the syringe?
It hit Jwala Joshi's pale vein filled arm and shattered. He didn't understand, but when he also saw her reaching for a dagger. His hand rose with profound disdain for life and grabbed the nurse by the neck and thrust her against the wall.
His grip strength had gotten stronger than he remembered. His life had once revolved around reading webnovels because he'd been forced to stay home from school. He had managed to a rare disorder, and doctors paid him money to get studied and play games all day.
He fell asleep a long time ago, and the cute nurse even with her muffled screams couldn't put him back to sleep. He reached for the dagger and wrapped his elbow around her neck.
He breathed against her and then noticed the intoxicating smell coming from her shoulder. He placed the knife against her body with his other hand and pulled her into the room.
"Get me out of here, or I'll show you who is a monster."
