Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

The sun struck down at Cayde's body, like a thunderous lightning striking down. The sand was hot and so does the Sun above him. They ride to a particular place in the middle of the desert, a place where he would receive the change of his entire life.

His dark trench coat, follows the wind that he produces as he sped across the desert with his horse. Within his eyes are the eyes of a determined man, a loyal man. Who would do anything to those who showed him kind and being a friend to him. And that is what he's going to do right now.

Up ahead of him, was a Fortress. A giant stone made of Fortress built in the middle of the desert. He looks at the building with a look of familiarity. He knows where he's going. And that is his new mission right now. To meet The Man inside of The Fortress that lives there.

He knows the man who's going to speak to him any minute now. As he arrived at The Front Gate of The Fortress, he waits for the Gate to open. And as he looks up to the window of the second floor of the fortress, he saw a stern hard man looking down at him. And the gate opens finally.

He left his horse behind the gates, tied him to a pole on the right side of the gate so he wouldn't escape. Cayde enters inside of The Fortress. Only to find The Man on the window, already down to the first floor of the fortress. He smiled at him.

"That was quick, Boss." Cayde speaks To The Man who is his Boss. The Boss stands there straight with his body and his hands on the back of his body. When he looks at him is like a Father staring down at his troubled son, whom he knows is always causing trouble.

"I was expecting you ton arrive early, Cayde. You are the only one whom I'm waiting for." The Boss answered. His voice is deep, and yet rough as a rock. The Boss has a long blonde hair, combed and straight long, his eyes were brown. And his lips are thin as a worm. Although every time you look at him there's only his stern that you see within his eyes.

"Come follow me to my chamber. We have something important to discuss, boy." Cayde follows The Bossman to his chamber. They walk across a long dark hall with only few lights on the inside because of the sun from the window. The light glares The Bossman's head like a halo to him, while the light only shines on Cayde's other face leaving the other half darkened in the shadows.

The Bossman opens the door for him and Cayde to enter inside. It was like a work room for The Bossman, they are table and chairs on the chamber for him to work. And paintings of woman on the was are can be seen.

The two men sat down. "As you know I summoned you at my Fortress, to discuss about your new task. A VERY dangerous task, in which no ordinary men are capable of doing. Which is I know that would trigger your excitement, Cayde." The Bossman speaks out in the shadows of the room. Cayde listens to his boss. like a good student to his Master.

"I am not aware of my new task, although I've heard that you've assemble a group of outlaws for this task? So I'm assuming that you have no TRUST on me, to do this task all alone by myself is that it, right?" Cayde lays his back to the chair giving The Bossman a smug look in his face.

"That is not my intentions, Cayde. I trained you to become a perfect outlaw in this cruel world of The Westernlands, I trained you properly so that you could survive in The Western without any of my help. And do you think after years and years of teaching you all that I've learned in the past, do you still think that I don't trust you until this day, Cayde? That's cruel." The Bossman speaks while he leans his head towards the table, saying those words while he stares at Cayde's green eyes. Cayde was intrigued.

"Fine, then. If I have to do this task with other annoying people, then fine. I'll try my best to work on that. Just remember the price of this now, Bossman." Cayde replies as he leans towards the table and puts his hands on the table.

The Bossman gives him a hint of pride in his face, "Don't worry about your price now, boy. This particular thing that you have to take is a treasure.. A treasure that holds a life time worth of fortune, all of that we could spend even after we die." The Bossman told to Cayde.

Cayde gives The Bossman an interested look in his face. "Well that sounds like bullshit to me.. They are no such things as a treasure in which has a fortune that is BIG enough to-"

"-I have seen it, Cayde. Would you believe it or not, but I did. It was 25 years ago. I was still at your own age by that time. And I found this Tower, which is where The Treasure was buried under the ground of the tower. I was weak by then, I am like a lost kid who is just trying to find home for me to sleep in. I couldn't remember every part of it, but I was sure I saw a Monster guarding the treasure. It was chained to the walls of The Tower far enough to reach whoever reaches for the treasure. You know I had to run.. I don't have anything on me, no weapons to be able to pierce through that gigantic monster."

Cayde was shocked. "So you're putting this on me? I'm just an Outlaw. I don't use. I am not strong man as well.. I don't have the weapons to also kill that Monster." Cayde answered.

"That's why I put together a team of outlaws like you, Cayde. Those whom I've trusted for over years and years of my life. Just like you. They reported to me a, certain weapon. A kind of weapon that could kill that Monster, easily." Said The Bossman. As he gives a portrait of the weapon on a piece of paper to Cayde.

Cayde looks at the Portrait. "A Spear. So are you sure this Spear would kill that Monster that you said is Guarding The Treasure?" Cayde asked The Bossman.

"I am very sure. That Spear was made by one of the same builders who built The Oracle's Tower and put all of the fortunes that he could gather around the continent into a single treasure, which he hurried underneath The Oracle's Tower. Your crew have to find the Spear first, I've heard rumours about the Spear's location."

"Where?" Asked Cayde as he gives the picture of The Spear to The Bossman. "In The Town of Grandworth. Which is far away from here. The Crew that I've assembled knows the location of this town. So you don't have to worry about that anymore, Cayde."

Cayde smiles in excitement. "So where should I meet this crew?"

"Right now.. if you wanted to."
