Chereads / Princess Omega / Chapter 24 - Mini Theater Episode One

Chapter 24 - Mini Theater Episode One

In a dark room, sounds of equipment are being pushed around along with footsteps that scurries here and there. Small talks and equipment testing are also present.

After a while of making sure everything is fine, a light suddenly shine brightly at the center of a stage and small footsteps is heard as it make its way to the center of the stage.

It is Oswald. At least a mini-version of him. He is dressed in a scholarly manner and is holding a stick and some papers. He fixes the mic on his collar and checks it if it is working before he starts to speak.

"Ladies and Gentlemen I present you our Little Theater!" Oswald excitedly announces what is happening.

"First of all, we from the Princess Omega, gladly thank everyone for reading and supporting us." Oswald says as he bows at the stage like the noble he is. "Second…" He looked at his script on the placards he is holding. After making sure of what the script says, he continues.

"Second, I welcome you to the Mini Theater's first episode. I hope you guys enjoy it." He said bowing again before exiting the stage making sure he to not let the placards fall from his little hands.

Once Oswald has exited the stage, the spotlight was turned off as multiple lights turned on shining brightly at the stage as the curtain unveils two handsome looking mini-version of Leon and Rhem.

The both of them are also wearing scholarly clothes. Rhem is walking towards the center of the stage holding a stick much like what Oswald was holding earlier while following behind him is Leon pulling a big white board with large papers stuck to it.

The both of them bow their heads before Rhem speaks, "Hey there~ I'm Rhem" he looks at Leon after introducing himself as if cueing him it is his turn. Leon sighs not really knowing why did he agreed to this, "I'm Leon" he says as his face flush a little showing his cute and shy side.

Rhem upon seeing this smiles too as he thinks that Leon is really being cute right now.

"Today's first episode is about ABOverse." Rhem pats the stick at the words on the board. "What is ABOverse?" he continues while Leon acts as his assistant flipping the large paper to reveal another one underneath it with more words than the first one.

"In this universe there are secondary genders or biological roles. They are Alpha, Beta and Omega. Alphas, in general, are dominant. They are usually the cream of the crop and would always excel in what they do." Rhem reads the words on the papers while Leon listened and nods at what Rhem is saying.

"A good example is our beloved young master Leon here." Rhem smiles as he teases Leon calling his name affectionately making Leon's cheeks flush a little more than before.

"Yes I'm an Alpha, capable of doing everything I want and exceling in it and as an Alpha I can produce offspring with my fated one." Leon smirks wiggling his eyebrow looking at Rhem whose cheeks are now flushed, it is his turn to tease him.

Before the two can continue, a loud exasperated sound is heard at the backstage. It's Oswald who has had enough with the two lovebirds openly expressing their affection with each other. He pushes the two out of the stage and takes over.

"Now where are we?" he says as he looks at the board. "Oh, right. Now let's move on to Omegas. Omegas, like Rhem, is considered the lowest of the biological roles as they have the weakest constitution and within them there are those who have even more weak constitution. Omegas don't have a lot to say in society and some, as sad as it is, are only considered as beings to procreate." He says frowning as he doesn't like how society has been looking down on Omegas.

"But along the years the treatment of Omegas had improved greatly. Rhem is one living proof of it as he is well respected by anyone even Alphas due to his high intellect and wide range of connections. So, Omegas out there don't fret and be more confident in yourselves. Society is improving, if anyone needs help don't hesitate to turn to Improve Omega Society." Oswald says with determination in his eyes as he look out.

Out of nowhere, Clause appeared pulling Oswald to the backstage by the ear, "You're too enthusiastic and is not qualified to explain any further. You might confuse everyone. Sir Curtis will take over." He said as they disappeared to the backstage while Curtis slowly walk towards the board.

"Hello there, I'm Curtis." He bows respectfully before he continues. "Even though in ancient times, Omegas are considered the lowest a lot of them excels in a lot of discipline like alchemy, medicine and magic. And as master Leon indicated, Omegas can have children, specifically by an Alpha, be it their fated one or not. Omegas can also have children with Betas but the chances of being successful is lower than when with an Alpha."

"Next one are Betas. Like me, Betas are the non-special ones. We don't have special characteristics in our physiology. Intellectually, we have average to above average capabilities. We can impregnate Omegas but the chances are low. Beta women can have children with an Alpha and a Beta. Unlike Omegas, guys who are Beta cannot conceived."

Curtis flips the page and continues, "Alphas and Omegas experience unique phenomena called rut and heat. These phenomena are cycles of needing to breed. For Omegas, they experience an increase in their body temperature, increase in their natural lubrication and as well as increase production of pheromones to lure in potential mates, especially if they don't have one. For Alphas, ruts are intense biological drive to breed. They are more aggressive and protective during this time of their mate."

"Suppressants." Curtis reads after flipping the page again. "Suppressants are medicines in the form of liquid or pills that can suppress an Omega's heat especially un-bonded ones or those who does not have mates. Alphas also have suppressants but are not widely acceptable and are not recommended as there are little supporting research on it."

After he reaches the last page, Curtis looks at the people in front, "Any questions?" he asks them.

"You mentioned bonded. How does that work?" Clause asks Curtis a little rudely getting a light smack from Lily. "Ask properly." She warned him.

Curtis did not mind how Clause asked him and just answered, "Omegas can be bonded with an Alpha or a Beta by getting bitten on their nape. Women who are Beta can be bonded the same way by an Alpha but not by a Beta. Once bitten, a bonded mark will appear anywhere in the body as long as the one bitten is the Alpha's fated one and if not, no mark will appear."

The three nod their heads as they carefully listened to what Curtis has said. "Any more questions?"

Oswald, who is beside Clause smirks, "How about knotting?" Clause is surprised by the questions but looking at who asked it, he just sighed and tries to explain it.

"Knotting is a specific ability only Alpha has. It happens when an Alpha and an Omega are mating where the Alpha makes sure that his seeds stay inside the Omegas body." Curtis finishes explaining the ability while his cheeks are a little flush getting embarrass on talking about it.

"Our Curtis is so innocent!" Oswald shouted seeing Curtis is flustered from talking about knotting.

Curtis gets even redder when Oswald teases him and stuttered when he asks again if anyone has any more questions. When no one asks, Curtis immediately left the stage to prevent Oswald from teasing him more.

Oswald is having a good laugh when someone smacked his head. He turns to his side and saw the irritated look of Clause. "Having fun are we?" Clause asks him a little sympathetic to Curtis. "No, no I'm not" Oswald immediately denies it not wanting to anger Clause as an angry Clause is not good for him.

After Curtis left the stage, Rhem replaces him, "If any question arises please don't hesitate to ask our dear author. We are sure our author will answer your questions as best as she can. And with that the first episode of the Mini Theater has ended." He bowed and left the stage.

The lights where turned off making the room dark again. Small talks are heard as the staff leave the room.
