Even though she had not noticed the peculiar birds in front of her that looked like little cotton balls compared to her, what she did notice, were that the trees were slightly..... thinner?
It wasn't like she had paid any special attention to how the trees looked before, but somehow it was just that noticeable. She used her talons to grab a small twig growing out of the branch she was sitting on, it had snapped without her using that much force at all!
Even more than that, everything seemed to have a different atmosphere to it. The feeling was hard to explain in words. However, she didn't ponder on it for much longer since the little birds had flown away and she remembered the measly thirty points the system mission had given her just before she had blacked out.
Excitedly, she opened her status and then clicked the [System Store].

After clicking on the [System Store] the rectangular blue panel disappeared and was replaced with two smaller panels and characters at the top left that showed the amount of points she had.
'Now what do I do from here?'
Truthfully, regardless of how clever she could be at times, the system really confused her. The see-through panels would pop up from thin air and her hand, or wing in this case, could smoothly faze through the panels and still click on things. It was like a hologram. Not that she had ever experienced seeing a hologram in her last life. She had only heard of it once before and that was still quite vague. The system seemed almost magical in some ways.
As she was wondering what to do next, the system's voice intervened and began speaking, which slightly caught her off guard for a moment.
[Selecting or tapping either 'Skills' or 'Items' panels will show either skills or items that can be purchased in the store.]
Following the system's guidance, she gently tapped the [Skills] panel with the tip of her pink feathers and then the [Items] tab instantly disappeared while a long list appeared under the [Skills] tab.

While she scrolled through the list of endless skills, some were considerably more expensive or even costed hundreds of times more than some, the farther she scrolled through the list.
Obviously she couldn't afford any of it and quickly scrolled back to the very beginning of the list.
Clicking on the name of the skill showed more information on it, though it didn't really matter much since the cheapest skill she could get was the [Mimic] skill.
Without even thinking about it, she had automatically clicked on the skill and confirmed that she did want to buy it.
Only after purchasing the skill did she actually fully read the description on the skill.
[Mimic(Lv1)]
[Mimics sounds that the user has heard, as long as the mimicked sound comes from something weaker or equal in power with the user. The skill can 'evolve' to an enhanced or more advanced version of itself when reaching level requirements.]
'Th-This skill..... It's completely useless! Why did I even buy this?!?!'
Had she known that it was such a useless skill, she would never have bought it in the first place!! She should've read the description first....! Otherwise, she would've just saved her thirty points to spend on a more powerful skill!!!
A skill to mimic sounds.... such a thing was completely and utterly useless! The only things around were rustling leaves, wind, grass, and water! Most creatures that weren't in some sort of flock or group practically made zero noise or any type of audible noise! She couldn't even use the skill to mimic another animal if she couldn't hear it!!!
Her mood had almost immediately changed from anger at herself to being gloomy at the worthless skill.
Despite that, she couldn't do anything about it.
Properly perching onto the thin branch, she went to the [System Store] again and tapped onto the [Items] tab instead of [Skills].
Looking through the infinite list of items, there were quite a few that were fairly cheap. Some even costing only five points for them. With the twenty points she had left, she could afford four items worth five points. In spite of that, she made a relatively good decision on her part and decided not to spend another point in case she makes the same mistake and buys a useless item. Although there were some that seemed worth the points.
In a few moments after closing the system, she made up her to AT LEAST try [Mimic] once. There wasn't any harm in trying the skill just to test it.
The very faint sound of rushing water in the far distance had entered her mind, and her pitch black beak opened slightly; the clear sound of a muffled river seeped out of her beak instead of her usual 'voice'.
It was slightly entertaining actually, albeit the awkward feeling of her voice sounding like a river.
Fortunately, that awkwardness slowly went away the more she mimicked sounds. Rustling leaves, branches, wind; she tried mimicking all of those different noises, and slightly grew to like the skill a little. Even though it was more like a fun little game to play with mimicking sounds than something she would opt to use when gathering food or fighting with another animal.
Speaking of other animals, it was only while trying to find other things to use [Mimic] on, that she realized the lack of color, animals, and flourishing plants. It wasn't like the plants weren't thriving though. It was just that the trees and greenery where she originally hatched was one of the most prosperous spots in the forest.

Around an hour or so of using the skill, there was practically nothing else new to mimic while staying on that one branch when she had an entire forest that spanned for hundreds of millions of acres.
"Now... where am I??"
