Chereads / Naruto: Neji Transmigration! / Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

In my previous life, I was called Ruel Smith. But this time, I have to forget that I was once a useless piece of a bum who knew nothing other than being lazy and face my PC all day, almost to the point of kissing it.

I have to adjust to the mentality of this world. A world is full of killing, scheming, hypocrisy, ninjas, and the main character that is so, so, so kind to the point of being unrealistic.

I honestly don't understand how Naruto did not have a twisted personality yet. With the Kyuubi's negative influence, a pure child should have easily been corrupted with it's killing intent and hatred alone.

Even if it was sealed, it was still powerful enough to send negative influence and a little bit of chakra to Naruto.

But I don't really care anyway. If things go according to the plot, I will probably get to fight him in the Chunin Exams.

Oh. And if I remember correctly, Sasuke would be taken by the Sound Four during that time too. And Gaara would fight Naruto and Gamabunta.

I tried to remember the plot of Naruto. Honestly, It has been a year since I rewatched the Anime and I skipped most of it because of those fillers and Naruto's unrealistic talk-no-jutsu.

If you find yourself cringing with his talk no jutsu lines, then you should know that you have already collected enough "knowledge" to understand that in real life, it just doesn't happen. It's not nonsense, just extremely rare.

And the finding Sasuke is just bullshit. I really want to rant about it, but what can I say, it is still one of the best Anime of all time.

As I rest, exhausted from training, I watched the sun slowly rise up, lighting up Half of the Earth like a god. I realized that this is actually my first time working so hard in a long time.

And truth be told, I found it pleasurable. I actually could not believe that it gave me a rewarding feeling. I grinned.

Maybe it isn't too bad to have taken over Neji's body. With such a talented body, I could enjoy fast improvement. And thanks to Neji's hard work in the past years, I am enjoying the progress. This genius that can register training just by observations is terrific.

And I gotta say, the Gentle Fist Art really brings wonders. It can easily help improve Chakra Control, dexterity, and flexibility in both body and mind.

It is like a dance. A gentle but deadly dance.

Tak! Tak! Tak!

I remembered watching Donnie Yen acting as Ip Man, practicing his Wing Chun on a wooden dummy. It produced good rhythm and beat.

Tak! Pak! Tak Pak!

I could hear it from my hits too. The beat and rhythm. With my Byakugan activated, I could "see" the pressure points in the wooden dummy.

Because the wooden dummy was designed to look like a human with the arms extended out, I could easily imagine it's pressure points around its body.

Every attack from my fingers and palms were injected with just enough chakra. If this was a real human, he would be already on the ground, shaking from pain and numbness.

Each strike was controlled with enough strength that its power would be considered negligible. But the true hits were not about power, but the injected Chakra through it.

Keeping my Byakugan activated, I could also feel little by little improvements. The range is slowly growing wider. As I observed many things, focused, a

I could see the people's chakra, with their own chakra signatures. I could see people hiding behind trees, and I would think of how to attack them effectively.

This alone made me think that the best weapon paired with Byakugan could be a bow and arrow.

And I wondered, why doesn't the Hyuga Clan use bows? With the Byakugan, one can easily see through anything with their range. Although my range is only0

If paired with a bow and arrow, predicting an enemy movement and sniping them at a long-range should be very effective.

Although it might not be effective on powerful opponents who can dodge and block arrows, bows and arrows could still be very efficient killing weaker enemies or slowing them down.

I honestly don't believe that there can not be other materials that can be used to make stronger bows. This is a world that has chakra and some special items exist.

And with the jungle warfare, guerilla tactics using bows as snipers should be effective and efficient.

As I honed my thought, my thoughts on using bow and arrow became even more firm. And with my system, I can definitely buy a higher level bow that is stronger.

Just imagine a Paper Bomb attached to an arrow. And Paper Bombs could be detonated remotely with a hand seal. They had used this technique using kunai, but why not arrows that can travel faster and has a better range than kunais?

The world is not filled with monsters like Lee, Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, the Akatsuki, or the Kage's. In guerilla warfare, arrows are deadly. Much like snipers.

Oh? Snipers? What if I use Customize Shop to create guns?

Shitte, why didn't I think of that earlier?!

But I don't know the parts of a gun though. Hmm... Maybe I'll try and experiment later on. According to the system, I should be able to get two more slots after each level up.

Guns... Gatling guns... lots of guns... I hope I will be able to realize this dream!

Since I live alone in a small courtyard, I just did what Neji always did.

I washed up, ate breakfast, wore my usual clothes, covered my forehead with a black cloth that blended with my long black hair, and departed for school.

As I walked, I scanned my surroundings, I found myself amazed with the refreshing morning air and dew at my sight.

You see, I have never really gone out that much, especially in such a vegetative place. There were trees everywhere, like in the anime. Stalls that sold different kinds of stuff. People were smiling genuinely. Kids were running around. Their clothes looked cool and unique.

I was really fascinated. Unknowingly, I walked with a grin.

Thanks to how busy I got yesterday trying to find other functions of the system, and how I trained hard in the morning, I actually forgot about my PC, Tablet, Games, and the Internet.

You see, every time the class was over, I would run back home, switch on the computer, and play my games. And you know, explore the "deep web", and you know...^_^

I don't know how I will do today, but I will try my best to be low key. Since Neji had tried his best to be top of his class, and also be a cold bitch trying to look cool, he did not really have any close friends.

He spent his life trying to get stronger and prove himself to the main family. Every time he sparred with Hinata, he would beat her mercilessly and tell her to get up.

I don't blame him though. Fate can be controlled by oneself, but Neji had the mindset that he would be stuck, like an elephant in a zoo by the main family.

Neji believed that with the Clan's Juinjutsu place on him, he won't be able to soar. His mindset prevented him from thinking deeper.

He never thought about the weakness of the seal. There is always a weakness in every Technique, said Uchiha Itachi. That's how a genius should think.

Just like I said, he spent his life like a tamed elephant in a zoo.

Genius he may be in martial arts, his actual intelligence is quite questionable.

And I am not saying that I am a genius. I'd be a fool to think that. It's just that I have gathered enough "Knowledge" to at least be able to think outside the box.

As I walked into the academy, I garnered some attention, but their eyes would either show fear, admiration, and dislike.

They were warded off by my cold and unfriendly eyes. Since Neji spent his following years with this face, the muscles already adjust it to become my neutral face.

But I liked this situation. I don't have anyone disturbing my thoughts and be left alone in the corner. Just like how I always lived.

But then again, today is going to be an exam day. To graduate from the Academy, one needed to be able to use the Clone Technique and also pass the written exam.

Well, it would be a piece of cake for me though.

I went inside our classroom. I was familiar yet also unfamiliar with everything here. Since our memories fused seamlessly, it actually felt like I lived Neji's life.

So I sat on "my" usual seat, ignoring the clamoring students. I saw Lee and Neji on the middle and front row, being friendly with the others.

I nearly smirked at how lame his hair looked but managed to hold myself.

I scanned all of their faces, but never found any more significant characters.

When the teacher arrived, it was a familiar fatty that also taught Itachi's batch.

He tapped his book on the table to silence the room.

"Good morning, everyone!" I could see him smile from satisfaction with his students. It looks like he is satisfied with this batch of students.

"Good morning, Sensei!" Everyone greeted, including me, of course.

"You should already know that today will be the day that will determine if you are qualified to become a Shinobi! Since you are good kids, I will let you review your notes one last time. You can also ask questions if you have one. Start now!" The chubby teacher once again tapped his book on the table and the student took out their notes.

Of course, the art of being lowkey starts with learning how to blend in.

So I also started to shuffle the pages of my notes.

Over half an hour later, the teacher again tapped his book on the table.

"Okay, everyone! Time's up! Now, help me pass this to the back." Like all teachers always do, the chubby teacher already divided the pile of test papers into the number of rows. "Don't try to cheat! Anyone that will be caught cheating will be held back for another year!" His last words made some of the youngsters flinch visibly, one even started to sweat.

If I remember correctly, he was one of the ones that did not even bother to open their notes. A pity... pity... try hard next year, my fellow classmate. Lol!

Without even a minute, my test paper already arrived.

I scanned it for half a minute and found that it should be quite simple.

It just contained some questions about how certain Jutsu's work. List out the things you should do to avoid or stop a genjutsu. And some basic stuff.

My heart did not even skip a beat and I dissected the questions like a boss. Of course, this was thanks to the Original Neji's hard work.

Half an hour passed and I already finished. The last question was to provide an essay on what do ninja's do.

It was a piece of cake for me, with my, let's say, intermediate-level vocabulary, it was done in five minutes. I take pride in that.

I look around and found a girl in the front row that was also finished.

With nothing to do, I started doodling on the back of the paper. This situation actually reminded me of my phone. Oh, how I wished I had one.

Another half an hour passed and the chubby teacher habitually tapped his book on the table again.

"Stop! Everyone Stop! Now pass all your paper to the one in front of you." The chubby teacher smiled. "Okay, since the written test is done, you have another hour to practice or warm-up. Make sure you are at your best in the next test. We will test the level of your taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu awareness in the next test!"

"But sensei, you said that we only need to perform the Clone Technique and we get a pass!"

"Hehe, don't be nervous! We just need to test how capable you are in order to form a well-balanced team! Don't worry, what I said is still valid! Now, meet me at the gym in an hour! Don't be late!"

I saw the teacher look at me for a second before leaving the room. He must be expecting a lot from me.

The moment he left, the room got boisterous again. Kids will be kids... lol.

Another hour soon passed and we all arrived at the gym.

"First is Ninjutsu! Show me your best! Neji- Kun, you first!" He pointed at me with a smile.

Of course, I stepped out.

My hands slowly moved... Ram-Snake-Tiger!

Clone Jutsu!

Puff! Without suspense, two me popped out. Of course, I could have easily made many more, but two is enough.

"Oh! As expected of Neji-Kun!" One of my classmates exclaimed, followed by clapping from the others.

I returned cooly back on my spot. I felt cool and proud at the same time. This must be how the students felt when they managed to recite the perfect answer back in my school. It actually felt exhilarating.

"Next, Tenten-kun!" I saw Tenten walkout from the crowd. She easily passed.

One after another, all of the youngsters passed the Clone Technique test, except for one... Rock Lee!

Since I know he will still pass because of his Taijutsu, I just cast an encouraging glance at him. Of course, he did not notice.
