It wasn't worth the price. Fundamentally that's what it came down to. The price for leaving Meg behind was too heavy… probably. Hunter knew she'd been screwed over once already in the past hour and she wasn't trying to add to that tally any time soon. Certainly not on the same day. So Meg was coming along. Hunter wasn't happy about it, and perhaps she could've found a better solution but at the end of the day? Meg was better at this sort of stuff and Hunter had decided to quit while she was… in acceptable territory.
Meg had strapped on a nice-looking belt and twisted the circular cover for the belt buckle vanishing from sight. Just from sight mind you. Hunter could tell exactly where she was by listening for Meg's breathing, or the slight distortion of the air to say nothing about the fact her tongue could smell exactly where she was but for this it would be good enough.
