As they stepped out of the elevator, Lu Chenjun spotted the beautiful lady from yesterday. . . wiping the ground.
Lu Chenjun put his hand up, signaling his assistant to stop and wait. He walked forward a few steps, getting a better look at the lady. It was definitely the same woman from yesterday.
She seemed to be in her own little world, her head thrown back, laughing. Compared to the image she had left yesterday at the party, she seemed so innocent and carefree. She was like a completely different person. Lu Chenjun wasn't so sure if the shameless, seductive woman he had seen yesterday was the real her. He raised his eyebrows, amused at the sight of such a beautiful woman kneeling on the ground, wiping the floor.
He held up his hand and motioned for Fang Shi to come over. He pointed at Elena and told Fang Shi, "Go find out who this woman is."
Fang Shi got a good look at the woman and furrowed his eyebrows. Mr. Lu has never asked him to investigate a woman before. He may be a playboy, but he has never really taken any real interest in a specific woman
"Is there a problem?"
"No! No sir. I will get the information by tomorrow."
Lu Chenjun took one last look at the lady, who has stood up now, stretching her back. The corners of his mouth turned up a bit, and he walked away.
Mila and Elena were carrying several large and small bags from clothing, shoe, and handbag shops. Both of them were in a very good mood as they walked into the parking lot. Abruptly, Mila dropped the shopping bags she was holding in her hands and ran over to a nearby car.
"Oh. My. God. This car. . . this car is a limited edition Bugatti Chiron. I've never seen one of these in my entire life. I feel like my life is complete. Elena, come look!"
One of the many things that Mila was interested in was cars. Elena laughed at Mila circling around the car, her face in awe.
"If I ever become successful and rich, I will buy you one of them."
Mila looked happy for a second, but then she frowned and said, "I don't think there is another car like this one in the world. But, I mean, a Ferrari would be good too."
She raised one eyebrow at Elena and Elena scoffed at her, "In your dreams. Let's go ride our taxi!" Elena suddenly turned around as if she remembered something and said in a very serious tone, "You know, if you ride the taxi enough times, it could be more expensive than that car."
Elena picked up Mila's shopping bags and they walked out of the parking lot. They rode a yellow taxi back to the hotel.
"Our apartment should be ready on Wednesday, so we can move there then," Mila told Elena who was busy studying her script.
"Are we living together in the apartment," Elena asked, still immersed in the script.
"Yes, is there a problem?"
"Nope."
Mila stood up and grabbed her phone, "I'm going to go to the grocery store and buy some food so we won't starve."
At this, Elena looked up from her script and asked, "Can you get some ice cream? Please? Oh, and also some snacks like chips or something. Yes, chips, that's good. What if we get a cake to celebrate coming to the Jin Province?"
Mila glared at Elena, "Let me remind you, you have a drama to film on Monday. Today is already Saturday, and you want me to buy you junk food. Just because you aren't in Korea doesn't mean you shouldn't care about your body image at all. I might get some ice cream for myself though. That sounds like a good idea."
Elena rolled her eyes and went back to studying the script. She was still on her first read, and had to familiarize herself with the scenes.
Just as Elena finished analyzing the last scene they were going to film on Monday, the doorbell rang.
"Coming!"
Elena put her highlighter into her bag and closed the script. She didn't bother to peek through the door hole, as she guessed that by now, Mila would be back from the grocery store. She opened the door and found Mila holding three large bags of groceries. Elena helped carry two bags, and they carried it into the room.
As she was sorting through the second bag, Elena gasped and exclaimed, "There's ice cream. There are two boxes of ice cream. Mila, you can't possibly finish two whole boxes by yourself."
Mila smirked and didn't say anything.
Elena laughed and put the two boxes of ice cream into the hotel fridge.
"What are we going to eat tonight?" Elena complained.
"I bought some frozen dumplings. Let's just cook that for tonight."
Elena shrugged and went to go cook the dumplings.
The next morning, Elena woke up at 6 A.M. as they had to arrive on set at 9 A.M. She got ready and made a quick breakfast.
Elena left her room and knocked on the door of Mila's room, which was right next to hers. Mila opened the door in her pajamas, and immediately said, "Wait 10 minutes for me to get ready."
Elena sighed and said, "I prepared breakfast."
Mila nodded and closed her door.
Elena didn't really have any appetite, as she was quite nervous about filming this new drama. In Korea, she had only filmed one drama, and she was only a small supporting character. She didn't have many scenes in that drama, and few people on set noticed her when she was filming. In Original Sweet, her company had helped her receive the role of the second female lead, Hua Luo.
In the drama, Elena's character was the antagonist and isn't well-liked. However, Elena believes that Hua Luo is a tragic character and shouldn't be hated for her actions in the film.
In Original Sweet, the female lead is Lin Xijin, who is going to be played by the film queen, Su Yan. The male lead was Qin Lichen, played by the famous Chinese singer Zhang Bing. The story begins when Qin Lichen is dating Hua Luo. However, Lichen develops feelings for Hua Luo's best friend, Lin Xijin, who was gentle and pretty. He decides to break up with Hua Luo after six years of dating and starts a loving relationship with Lin Xijin. Hua Luo wants to take revenge and tries to tear apart Lin Xijin and Qin Lichen throughout the whole film. However, Original Sweet is a love story, as Lin Xijin and Qin Lichen's love stays strong throughout the whole film.
After Mila finished eating, they left for the filming set.
Most of the filming was located in a huge warehouse. As Elena and Mila walked into the warehouse, they knew why. Several stations were set up in the warehouse. There were multiple rooms for doing makeup and changing clothes. In the warehouse, several cameras and soft lights were set up in different areas and each camera had several people tending it.
The filming crew seemed to have built several of the important locations in the scenes in the warehouse. For example, there was a wall that was painted like one of a coffee shop, and a few tables were set up to resemble the shop. Elena immediately recognized the coffee shop as the location where Qin Lichen broke up with Hua Luo.
Everyone in the warehouse was busy getting ready for the first day of filming, and no one noticed Elena and Mila walking in.
Mila looked around and located the director, "Let's go say hi to the director first. Let him know that we are here, and then we can go get our makeup done."
Elena nodded and they walked towards the director.
The director was discussing the script with another actor, and Elena quickly recognized who it was. The handsome face and the tall stature revealed the person's identity. The person was Zhang Bing, China's most famous male singer.
Elena wanted to leave a good first impression on the director and her co-worker, so she decided to wait until the director was finished talking instead of rudely interrupting them.
When she thought the director was done talking about that specific scene, she slowly walked over.
"Hello Director Xin, I am Jin Yinghui. I am playing the role of Hua Luo in Original Sweet."
Both Director Xin and Zhang Bing glanced over to see who it was, and Director Xin looked surprised.
"You are playing Hua Luo?" Director Xin asked as if he didn't know who Hua Luo was in the film.
"Yes, Director Xin, is there a problem? I am Jin Yinghui." Elena immediately tensed up, afraid that maybe her company made a mistake.
The director still remained in shock as she surveyed Elena from top to bottom. The pictures that were sent to him of Elena when they were choosing the second female lead really didn't do her justice. She was too pretty!
