Chapter 5 - Catching the Eye of a Talent Scout

When she looked up and saw that the car was about to hit her, An Ge'er did not even dodge. Suddenly, a hand yanked her away and she barely avoided the car. "Little girl, are you trying to kill yourself? Why didn't you jump when the car was about to hit you?"

An Ge'er's face reflected an unexpected calmness, and she simply walked away.

"Hey! Wait! Wait!"

"What do you want?" An Ge'er pursed her lips and looked at him guardedly.

In front of her was a man in his thirties, dressed casually and wearing a baseball cap. The moment he caught sight of her when she looked up, astonishment flashed across his eyes.

Seeing that he was in a daze, her brows furrowed even more, and she turned to leave.

The man behind her quickly stopped her again and gushed excitedly, "Wait a moment, little girl. Don't get me wrong. This is my business card. My name is Xun Ze, the person in charge of AT Media. I think I've finally found the person I've been looking for. I believe you're very suitable for photos—"

"Sorry, I'm not interested." An Ge'er cut him off, and her delicate figure immediately merged into the crowd.

Xun Ze looked on as she vanished into the throngs of people. No matter how he jostled around, he could not find her. In the end, he cursed under his breath.

After strolling around for a few days, he had finally found a suitable candidate, yet he lost sight of her!

Looking at the few students walking past him, Xun Ze's brows knitted together. Suddenly, his eyes lit up. That's right! She's a student!

As the top student in the eyes of her classmates and a goddess in the eyes of her admirers, An Ge'er was habitually throwing away the blue love letters on her table, which she had received from her admirers.

"No way, An Geer, aren't you going to at least look at them? No one has ever written a love letter to me!" her tablemate whined about the unfairness. Looking at the love letters that An Ge'er had received, her fervid gaze was as if she was the one who had received them.

An Ge'er was speechless for a moment. They take up so much space; pitiful me is also very troubled, okay?

After packing, she prepared to leave school. However, just as she stepped out the door, her phone rang. Seeing the phone number, An Ge'er smiled.

As soon as the call was connected, a faint flirting sound rang out, "Beauty, are you obedient at home? I'll be able to see you the day after tomorrow. At night, wash yourself clean and wait for me in bed, understand?!"

"Enough, stop messing around. Be careful. I'll wait for you the day after tomorrow." An Ge'er could not help but shake her head.

"Come, come, come, give me a kiss!"

An Ge'er looked up and glanced at the students around. She immediately felt embarrassed. "Please, I just got off school… There are people all around me…"

"I don't care. If you don't give me a kiss, I, Master Xia, will be upset!"

Although An Ge'er was unwilling, she still covered herself partially and blew a kiss at the phone screen. "Is Young Master Xia satisfied now?"

After hanging up the phone, An Ge'er's indifferent face finally softened.

The person on this phone was none other than her bestie, Qiqi.

Qiqi was the typical tough girl, a tomboy. She could beat up gangsters, act like a rogue, and was a veteran fujoshi.

In Qiqi's own words, if An Ge'er was the top student, Qiqi would instantly be condemned as an underachieving student. She did not like to study. Her hobby was a little special: She enjoyed beating people up.

She was an expert in fighting, with her strength being Chinese martial arts. In fact, An Ge'er had picked up the few skills she had from Qiqi. If Qiqi found out that Lu Zihao had betrayed her, hehe, it was highly likely that he would die.

Now, she was coming back to revise for her cultural class, with the intention of applying for an acting university. Since she was young, she had always wanted to be a martial arts actress and her goal was to get into Hollywood.

When she thought about Qiqi coming back, An Ge'er's mood naturally became much better.

Unfortunately, this happiness did not last long. Her phone rang again, and when she looked at the incoming call, her face suddenly fell, her brows involuntarily knitting together.
