Goldrig and the rest of the forces left the camp and went toward the fort that was far away to celebrate their recent deeds. They would be most likely easily able to access the fort sense in all cases they were their protectors of the land.
Folke was learning how to ride a horse for the first time and was the furthest one at the back along with Goldrig who was helping him learn how to ride the horse for the first time to. Folke had one of the bigger horses it handled well on its own and was simply perfect for folke to ride on.
Goldrig and Folke talked to each other in the back about the topic of what they were talking about varying and quickly switching from one to the other. Folke was now enjoying that Goldrig was his commander in the army and not someone else. Goldrig simply liked how folke was a very good choice to choose to join his little part within the army.
The soldiers in front slowed their horses down and joined the conversations with goldrig and folke. Folke gladly accepted them and did a broad smile while riding his horse. Folke joked with them which made the majority of them laugh until they reached the large wooden spike gates of the fort.
The population may have been able to forge metals into very valuable armor but it seems as if the structure part of this is lacking heavily. On Top of the wooden fort was a man in chainmail; he had a spear within his hand.
He grabbed the edge of the wall and looked down. He saw goldrig with his great beard shouting up ``You! Yes bloody you! Open up the gate!`` Goldrig was pointing at the man to open the gate too which the man responded with
``Who the hell are you? We didn't request for some mercenaries leave!``
``We're the sorry idiots over there in that camp tasked to protect you! Get me your bloody supervisor before I scale this wall, beat you and then open the bloody gate myself!``
The man with the spear let out a soft tch, and then walked away to what Goldrig assumed was to receive his supervisor or `My threatening tactics really works on lower soldiers! He's going to open the gate and we can get that good ale from Kadd` A smile spread across his face.
Folke looked at goldrig and just shook his head. He didn't have a clue while Goldrig was smiling like an idiot but mostly anyone else in the group who knew goldrig for long enough knew that he loved to abuse his authority sometimes. But he won't go too far just far enough to annoy most people within the town.
The man with the spear showed up with a man in riveted chainmail and a great ax hanging off of his back. A leather strap ran down the center of his chest and he looked tall even from a great distance away.
Folke looked at him and raised an eyebrow; he had a similar build to the man he saw within the camp, but he was only similar to him in that regard. The man within the camp had tattoos all over his body and he also had a warrior's headband on his head.
``Goldrig! It's been long. Open the gate! Don't keep the 'commander' waiting.`` He was eccentric with all of his actions. Doing great sweeping motions with his hands and arms and he did a little beckon gesture with his whole body when he said 'don't keep him waiting'.
Goldrig smiled and said `` That's right! Time to party and get drunk! `` Goldrig's horse moved forward and Folke did the same but his move was a struggle.
Soldier had to help Folke get his horse back under control and move him forward. ` I'm going to need more lessons on the horse. .. ` Folke thought as they moved him and his horse within the city walls.
Goldrig and the leader of the guard within the city went to a separate area, And the soldiers who accompanied both him and goldrig there were leading him to an apparent 'Beautiful tavern with even more beautiful women!'
Folke walked with the men, he was now off his horse since that's simply what everyone else did before him. He was simply following the example of everyone else in the group. Leading the horse with one hand while the other hand was placed near the hip or on your sword.
Folke heard another ``Hey, Brother open the gate!`` He assumed that it was the other commanders of the camp coming toward the town fort and getting drunk along with them. The gate this time opened quickly without delay and he saw A very tall man with short sleeved chainmail walk into the settlement.
Folke recognized the man as the fighter he saw run with him toward the direction of the wolves. The tall man must've recognized him too because instead of going where goldrig and the leader of the guard was he ran up to folke and raised his hand.
Before folke could react he felt a huge slap on his back, causing him to lose all of his breath. He'd then heard this ``Oh! You're that strong boy that was inside of the camp!``
Folke was regaining his breath when the man who was of course Warrior spoke again ``Folke was it? I've heard amazing things about you from goldrig and you certainly live up to it as well!`` He laughed loudly and was a full head taller than folke.
