Chapter 19 - + Observation+

Folke was carried into the medical tent where he was laid down on a leather mat which was extremely dirty, it had dried blood stains on it accompanied with tears that were inside of it. A nurse quickly came to his side and looked at the women who had carried Folke here.

``Waiola, who is this man?`` The nurse first spoke casually.

``He is the remnants of the raided village.`` Waiola brung her hand to her hair and began to scratch her head.

``I see .. .`` She looked down toward Folke with a face filled with pity and warmth. `Poor thing you've lost your whole entire village and your family. I can't imagine the pain and suffering you've must have went through while waiting for us to arrive.` The army was closeby after the fight and had seen the smoke they came thinking they would see a raid happening but was met with just ruins.

``Don't get emotionally attached to this one, Fabia.`` Waiola spoke again in a serious tone toward the nurse named fabia. ``He may be apart of the village but we still don't know if that is still true.`` Folke had still not been cleared from thorough examination; they knew that folke said that he followed gods and had a name similar to the culture but that can all be easily explained to someone who knows the knowledge of their culture. They needed to be sure that his part in the battle was that of the victim and not an injured enemy who was part of a different tribe. If that was the case then the situation needed to be handled differently altogether.

Folke who was just laid on the bed looked at the two women conversed and didn't utter a word, he caught a glimpse of the eyes of Fabia who looked at him with unspoken care and warmth. Like a mother carrying for her child. `This woman. . . She is perfect for this profession.` He thought in his heart.

He looked around the room while the two women conversed and saw that there were a lot of other people in the tent coupled with the medics and nurses to the injured soldiers who were drenched in sweat and had many bruises across their bodies.

He then heard Waiola begin to leave saying her farewells to the nurse. The nurse saw her off and then came back to folke who was casually observing her like an outsider. She kneeled down and asked two other men to help her with the task of removing his entire clothing.

. . .

After sometime folke was covered in bandages from head to toe, on his wounded areas they applied an ointment and wrapped it up good.

Folke chose to remain silent during the whole procedure; he wanted to observe everyone's habits and speech; he learned this from his past time with his two bosses. Folke was a very much vengeful man but he was also very soft spoken and rarely known to speak to anyone for anyone for more than a second. He was also an intimidation factor for his two bosses; he was tall with a known disposition of being quiet and strong.

So folke learned how to listen well to other people to make calls such as beating someone up or getting in the way of them attacking the boss.

`So far I learned that this nurse really likes her patients. She has done all of my wounds personally when she received me and has asked help when needed.` Folke looked at Fabia as she got up from his side and began to treat another one of the patients.

`Those men from what I've learned are exhausted from the training regiments in the army. Apparently that sweet faced devil leader they have is very hard on punishments and regiments she hands out the assignments of punishment and training to two very rigorous commanders. .. ` He looked at the face of another man who was on the bed next to him.

He was recently carried in after he failed to complete his training regiment which was already exhausting but now he was also punished with an even more rigorous training. `Usually they don't train when outside their base but apparently there is an exception there has been a truce between the warlords due to the foreign invasion.`

He closed his eyes after gathering all of this information, this place was apparently a good place for an enemy to get a lot of information `Are these guys idiots?` Were the first words that appeared in his head but then he soon remembered that the girl had a sword to his neck as soon as he was out of the medical camp.

`They're going to kill me as soon as I recover and use up my usefulness for them, unless . ..` Folke opened his eyes when he heard a discussion between two soldiers outside the tent.

``That man we've found might be one of the other warlords elite shield who might've raided this village.``

``Really? I thought he was a part of the village.``

``Why not burn him inside of the village instead of leaving him outside the village with sword wounds? Because he was struck down by one of the retreating men from the village!``

``Shouldn't we be seeing more people like him?``

``Nonsense he was alone in the woods with many wounds covering his battle and blood staining his mail, he should've been caught off guard while a group of men ganged up on him. The other soldiers were in a group and he seemed to be unlucky and caught off alone.``

``Ain't that a stretch?``

``Meh, that's the .. `` His voice became distant as the two walked away from the medical tent. .

`They also apparently think I'm the enemy . . During the meeting or the interrogation I need to make them trust me and place me as a part of the village .. .`` He began to ponder on what to do.
