Chapter 57 - Chapter 57. Family dining(3)

The dining was shining as the windows were opened to let the light pass through the place. The glass chandelier which, hung high in the room, reflected the light from outside perfectly, creating a warm atmosphere. In short. It was like a perfect day for a family gathering.

But, what really lightened up the mood was with the big smile on the face of the Emperor. Alexander was waiting standing near the head of the table, waiting for everyone to gather for the eating.

The Rutz family were the first to arrive. The Emperor's eyes immediately shined when he saw Aeinshia making her way to the table, looking as beautiful as ever.

And the interesting part is, they were wearing matching dress. Full cream, with the same royal elegance radiating from their auras. As son as, the family made their way near the Emperor, they all collectively bowed.

"Greetings, your highness." Andrew, as the head of the family greeted Alexander.

Alexander just scoffed and waved at the formal greeting. "Today I'm not here as the Emperor of the Seazle. Today, we are going to dine as a family." Alexander spoke out, nearing his sister's children.

He placed each hand on either of them and smiled at both of them. They really looked his sister, when they smiled brightly, like now. "How are my favorite people feeling today?" Alexander asked, with a little amusement in his tone.

Before Aeinshia could get any words out of her mouth, Felix spoke up. "A peculiar thing happened." Felix said with a bit of serious face, trying to create a suspending atmosphere. Both older men perked up at this, think in something serious happened.

Aeinshia just rolled her eyes at her brother, mowing exactly what he was trying to do. Alexander raised his eyebrows at this gesture and faced Felix, telling him to continue.

"Aeinshia woke up in a good mood today." Felix said slowly, while widening his eyes for more effect. After his speech was over, Alexander had his eyes wide open. "What way did the sun rise?" Alexander inquired, while glancing out the big window, in the dining.

Andrew just laughed silently at them.

Alexander was his best friend and though, he was the Emperor of Seazle, the most powerful empire, made by him, he was still a child at heart. And, Felix seemed to pick that from his uncle.

Aeinshia pouted "Uncle" she whined softly, while the other two males in front of her, laughed at her cute expression. Then, Alexander looked up at the entrance of dining hall, his smile still retaining.

Everyone turned to see who was the next guest and everyone - well, everyone except Aeinshia, had small smiles on their face. Evan stood at the entrance wearing same colored robes as his father and his lover. Radiating the same intimidating aura as the said people.

He slowly made his way towards the people gathered and stopped when was in front of his father. "Greetings, father." He greeted with a small bow.

Aeinshia just looked at him and noticed the slight in his dark eyes. They seemed to shine today. She didn't know, whether it was the light that was reflection in the hall or the natural shine of his dark orbs, that seem to hold midnight black sky in his eyes.

And, just like that every scene from the last might started to play in her mind. She kept staring at him and was pulled out of her thoughts when Felix softly nudged her from her left side.

She turned to face him, only to find him smiling smugly at her. She furrowed her brows, not the reason for the expression he was making towards her.

"Seems like you are love. Smiling at your lover fondly." He said in a slight whisper and then that Aeinshia realized that she was smiling while staring at Evan, lost in her own thoughts about her.

Her eyes widened slowly and comically. She looked around her and saw her uncle, Alexander smiling teasingly at her and her father also, sporting a tiny smile, looking between her and Evan.

Then, she looked around and noticed even the servants were also, softly and secretly giggling at her action. Exactly how long was I staring at him. She thought as her cheeks now, tinted a deep shade of red, due to embarrassment.

She peeked at Evan from her eyelashes and saw, he was the only one with straight face I this whole room. She felt a bit disappointed that he didn't notice her, when like the whole room were now, smiling at her love sick expression.

She cringed internally, imagining how she must have looked with that look. "I think we should go ahead and sit." She ushered everyone while stuttering while taking a small step indicating they should move. Well, they can do anything that would decrease her embarrassment.

But, the apparently was never going to happen, with his brother on her side. He gave her a sly smirk, which she desperately, felt to wipe off from his face.

Everyone moved and were now seated with smiles plastered on their faces.

Their happiness clouding the possibility to notice any kind of danger, that was currently peeking at the happy family with shrewd eyes, observing their every move and listening to their every word clearly.
