Sarah walked while looking down on her feet. She didn't have the courage to raise her head and look at the young man who was walking right next to her. She was too embarrassed to say anything and just kept her head down.
Suddenly, as they were walking past a classroom, the door creaked open. Sarah almost screamed as she jumped to the side in reflex. Her foot slid on the floor and lost her balance. Fortunately, Ciel was a step faster and caught her just in time.
He supported the younger girl's body as the latter clung to him in fear.
"It's only the wind," Ciel said. "Look."
Although Sarah was still afraid, Ciel's words had a soothing effect which gave her courage. She then turned her head to see the door swinging slowly in place. The window opposite it was open and she could feel a strong breeze coming from it.
