Jean sat on a bench in the garden while listening to the voice of his lover on the phone.
"Jean, my practice has just ended," the soft voice of a girl said in exhaustion. "Are we going to have dinner together tonight?"
"Of course," Jean replied. "I'll have you for dinner tonight."
"... Ever since you returned from that trip in Germany, you have become more proactive."
"You don't like it?"
"... I like it," the girl said in a timid voice. "Are we going to have dinner in Zinnia tonight?"
"Yes," Jean answered. "I already made arrangements. I'll pick you up at six then we'll go there together."
"Okay. I love you."
"I love you too."
Jean ended the call with a smile. It would be a lie if he said that he didn't love his beautiful and caring girlfriend. However, an image of an older and more mature woman appeared inside his head. The time he spent together with Ivy was the time he stepped onto the stairs of adulthood.
