It was a moonless night, and dark clouds covered the sky above the island. The special unit from Memento Mori had stationed themselves inside and outside the research facility. Half of them were resting, while the other half stood vigil.
None of them knew that on the day they arrived at the island, their mettle would be immediately put to the test.
"You won't win," Ivy said as she stared at the boy sitting in front of her. "You have no idea what you're dealing with."
To her surprise, Ciel nodded his head in affirmation.
"You're right," Ciel replied. "I have no idea what I'm dealing with. That is precisely why you are going to by my eyes and ears inside Memento Mori."
Ivy ground her teeth in frustration. Ciel had interrogated her as soon as she returned to the room after meeting with the leader of the Special Unit.
