"Today is the last day of school before we leave for Christmas vacation," Cynthia, Class 1-B's homeroom teacher announced with a smile. "I hope that all of you will be safe during the holidays. I'll see you all next year."
Not long after her announcement, the bell rang and some of the students hurriedly left the room. They wanted to leave the academy as soon as possible, so that they could go home and reunite with their families.
Of course, there was a very small minority who didn't want to go back home and planned to stay in the academy until the break was over.
Saint Claire Academy had one of the longest Christmas breaks in Europe. Starting on December twelfth and going til the nineteenth of January.
Arthur and Alice planned to spend Christmas and New Years at the Summer's Residence. They were very worried about Ciel, but knew that they couldn't do anything at this point in time.
