Emma was gazing outside the window of their dormitory room in a daze. When she was younger, her mother would often tell her the story of a Prince. She always thought that it was just a fairy tale. Just an imaginary work of fiction.
She had no idea that the Prince was real and the leading lady of the story was her own mother. Of course, she didn't completely believe the story. All of this changed when her mother gave her a letter before coming to the dorms of Saint Clare Academy.
Her mother explicitly told her that if there came a time when she would have the opportunity to meet the Prince, she would hand this letter to him.
Now, Emma had met the Prince. Since she was aware of their tragic love story, she was having mixed feelings about it.
"You should get some sleep," Lynn said as she gave her medicine and a glass of water. "Drink this. You've pushed yourself a lot today, I don't want your fever to return when morning comes."
