Adam looked at Jade getting closer to them. His arm, which was slightly injured from falling while protecting Claire earlier, was wrapping over Claire's shoulder as they walked out of the forest behind Allard's mansion. At first, Adam didn't want to be helped by Claire to walk out of there as his wounds were only minor wounds but Claire insisted on hugging him out of the forest with her.
" Have you taken care of him as I instructed you to do? " Adam asked Jade, who was bowing his head in front of him.
Jade shook his head slightly. " By the time I got there, the grand duke was already dead. Please forgive me, my lord. "
" I see. " Adam glanced at the mansion blankly. He had expected that his father would die but he didn't know that his father would kill himself after what he said. " At least he chooses to die with dignity. "
