I stared down at my small bag, full of my clothes. This was simply all I owned of my own from my time at this beautiful Town.. and pretty soon I would be leaving it.
I wore a black dress, with a black cardigan that was placed over my shoulders. My long hair was trailing loosely over my shoulders.
A gentle tap on my door, told me that the Visitor at the door was definitely not my brother who had arrived to escort me home. In fact, a Werewolf was at my door and acting polite for a change. This meant that it could only be one person.. Brax. Had he truly come to see me, just as I was leaving? Fate could really be cruel.
I bit my lip sharply and let out a deep breath.
'Yes?'.
'Aria.. Can you let me into your Apartment please?'. Brax spoke in an unhappy voice.
'That is not a good idea, Brax'. I spoke up, despite a tight aching feeling in my chest.
'I know you were told not to speak to me, but I do need to talk to you. Urgently'. His voice sounded uncomfortable.
'Letting you enter will simply put you in danger'. I spoke quietly.
There was a deep silence and then the sound of his footsteps walking away.
So that was it? I would probably never see him again because I had now been ordered to go back home.. not only that, but my brother was also on his way to pick me up.
I closed my eyes and sat down on my sofa, feeling sorry for myself.
My eyes went wide when I heard a loud crash in my Bedroom; he had obviously decided to attempt to break in through a high window.
'Seriously!?'. I shouted, oddly feeling a little cheerful.
Shortly after my shout, Brax entered my Living room; he was looking oddly scruffy considering his usual appearance. He wore grey jogging bottoms and a long sleeved pale green jumper. The side of his unshaven hair was tied loosely into a bun.
He gulped as he stared at the small bag of my belonging on the floor.
'You cannot be fucking serious!'. He protested.
'Yes, I am leaving'. I smiled sadly at him.
'This cannot end like this.. we have only just started to get to know each other'. He growled, showing me just how unhappy he was about this situation.
He took a step towards me and I let out an odd little excited noise; I covered my hands over my eyes, in shock and embarrassment.
His cheeks turned a slight pink, but that did not stop him from placing one hand on my hip and the other gently stroked my bottom lip.
'Aria'. He whispered, huskily.
I moved my hands and found myself entranced by his beautiful eyes. He then gave me a small smile before lifting my chin up with his fingertips and pulling my face gently towards his own; his lips gently met mine and he sighed lightly against my lips.
The kiss started out short and gentle pecks but soon, his tongue was crashing against my own. I could not help but let out a low moan into his mouth.
He picked me up by my waist and pushed me down onto my sofa, his body was soon tightly pressed against mine. His tongue trailed down my collarbone and I could not help but cry out in pleasure, as his hot tongue began to move down to my chest.
Unfortunately, that was the same moment when a loud knock hit my door.
Brax gulped and then frowned at me.
'I take it this is your escort home?'.
All I could do was look at him sadly.
I took a deep and shaky breath and gently pushed him off of my body.
'I.. understand. Promise me you will at least text and call me when you can get away'. He smiled sadly at me.
'How? I do not have your number'. I frowned.
He snatched my phone out of my pocket and smirked at me.
'You do now'.
'But this just is not fair on you or me.. it cannot work, Brax'. I whimpered.
He gently touched my cheek and smiled.
'If you want a relationship to work, all the distance in the world could not break you apart'.
I could feel tears begin to prick my vision, as he kissed me gently again on the lips and then ran off to my Bedroom, to jump out the window as my brother entered the room.
I could not help but smile and touch my lips slightly.
'Arianna'. Dexter's unhappy voice echoed from the doorway.
He wore black jeans and a plain black shirt; it was funny this was my brothers idea of blending in around humans.
'Who was in here?'. He snapped, disapprovingly.
'I made a friend, it is no big deal'. I lied.
'Mmmhmm'. He rolled his eyes.
'So how has everyone been back home?'. I grinned.
His jaw clenched and he frowned deeply.
'Ray is a fucking idiot'. He grumbled, looking guiltily at me.
Ahh.. so Ray was probably messing around with someone else already. And yet, I was not even bothered about it.. was that because now I have Brax? And what was this, was it actually a long distance relationship?
'Ah I see, who is he messing around with then?'. I scoffed.
My brother frowned at me and then sighed deeply.
'Do not tell me you finally gave in to some weak human'. He chuckled, teasing me.
I hit his shoulder and laughed.
'A woman never tells, dear brother'. I winked.
'Right so, mother wants to hear about your travels, so we better leave now'. He smiled reassuringly at me.
'Correction, she wants to know how I fucked up the mission so royally'. I grumbled.
'That too'. He chuckled.
Dexter then grabbed a hold of my bag and pulled my arm towards the truck.
'What a weird looking wolf'. He laughed, as he spotted Brax sat on a bench scowling at him.
I gulped and scratched the side of my head.
'Right, all wolves are pretty weird'. I forced a smile.
I gave him an apologetic look, knowing full well he could hear our conversation with his keen senses.
Brax scowled at us both, which I was unsure if he knew I was lying through my teeth.
He then got out his phone and spoke into it unhappily.
'Yes, she is leaving'.
And with that, Brax got up and began to walk away.
I forced a smile on my face and then got into the truck with my brother. And just like that, I made my way home.
I closed my eyes, pretending I was sleepy. In my head I simply thought about how heated things had gotten.. his sweet kisses and that fact that he wanted to stay in contact with me, desperately.
I could not help but smile.. somehow I would find out if there was truth to his long distance speech.
