"Die!" Chan-Yeol's Qi came out like a tidal surge of raw untamed power with each strike. "You can't parry forever!"
A few more swipes as Leroy caged him in, and the traitor teacher was right. He couldn't parry as his use of regular Qi was going quickly. With the mention of Kingdom, Guard Leroy had used less of his Core Qi to make sure nothing happened.
"Your right!" swallowing a pill he took from a corpse, his muscles swelled and his thinking lessen just a little. A Rage Pill was great for attacking with more power than one usually had. That wasn't all as he pulled uot the daggers that belonged to that same corpse. "Get cut!"
*Schlick!* Dual-wielding the daggers that were only slightly bigger than combat knives, Leroy cut his opponent's arm in a vicious slash. Initially aiming to disrupt hand function the little bit of rage eeked in for him to cut arteries.
The cut had damn near severed most of the Brachial Artery that run along the front part of the bicep. Not only had he taken one arma way, but a second arm was also about to be lost because of Leroy.
Maybe even his life!
"Raaaaaawww!" With a powerful roar, Chan-Yeol struck back at Leroy who was forced to block this time. The strike destroyed the daggers and cracked his sternum in the process. "Hehehe! You are going to die now!"
"Ugh, eat dirt!" Leroy backflipped while recovering. Throwing a bunch of dirt at his opponent and blinding him. "Damn... you talk a lot of mess for someone that can't kill a Cultivator way below your Realm and Rank!"
The situation had turned a little more and not for the better.
Tang Xui and Tang Bo moved away. The North Kingdom were militarily inclined and not meant to be trusted to keep from killing them by mistake. In short, they were assholes.
"Jasmine... just let them go." Chu Xue said downcasted. Seeing Pin Feng and Chan-Yeol fight for their lives made him feel extremely depressed. "If not for Pin Feng's pill, Victoria wouldn't have been saved." His look matched his voice.
Pathetic really.
"But Victoria was hurt because of his actions! If it weren't for her, you would have been injured!" Jasmine yelled. Her emotions were all over the place. Her duty, her feelings for Victoria, and her conflicted feelings for Chu Xue make it worse. "He should be made to pay for breaking the law and his assassination attempt on my life! How many people were hurt in the last few days by their actions!?"
"And then what? Does he need to pay with his life before it is enough?" Chu Xue pleaded.
"Yes, if that is what the law demands." Leroy said coldly as he fire concentrated beams of fire at Chan-Yeol and Pin Feng when he could. It was two fingers as he was steadily building lighting qi into his palms for a sniper shot. "Are you really that foolish?" His voice was devoid of any emotion besides disdain. "We all must be responsible for what we have done. Take a life be prepared to suffer or have your life taken."
*Bam!* Chan-Yeol erupted with a brutal attack and struck Leroy in a sharp turn. Enough the Champion had to block and was knocked a few feet back. He landed near the injured Victoria and others.
Standing over Chu Xue as he got up, he was ready to kill him at this rate. Jasmine could tell what Leroy was prepared to do from the vicious look in his eyes. Victoria's eyes opened a little looking at Leroy as she could feel a suffocating feeling from him.
She felt true fear as she was close to him and it caused her heart to beat sporadically. Making her condition even worse currently.
'His eyes are glowing in rage!' Victoria wanted to warn Chu Xue but didn't have the strength to speak. 'I have to do something!'
Jasmine felt bad for Pin Feng and wanted to let him escape after hearing Chu Xue's pleas. But she still had her duty to uphold and did not forget the others who tried to kill or capture her. Not to mention they caused trouble in her Teacher's Akademy.
"Guards... let them go!" Jasmine ordered. The guards kept fighting, however.
"Princess Jasmine, when your father sent us here, he gave us explicit orders that we must apprehend the culprits!" The guard pushed even harder in his attacks.
"You refuse to listen to me?" Princess Jasmine felt aggrieved as she made effort to say let them go in the first place now she was denied.
"Sorry princess, we dare not disobey the orders of our Liege Lord!" Another guard said with a clipped tone. He continued to push the assault and moved in for a critical blow toward Pin Feng.
*Bzzt!* A string of lighting passes as Leroy who was going to strike Pin Feng down to try and cripple him finally let loose. Victoria had mustered all her strength to grab his leg causing the attack to miss. Leroy was about to attack her in pure retaliation but Jasmine stopped him with a vicious bear hug.
"Tch!" Leroy sucked his teeth displeased. Victoria already having fainted from overexerting herself with that grab. The Champion's attention was refocused on other matters in a second after his heart thumped. "You have the perfect chance to help your Light Lion-ice Family by taking down these criminals!"
Chu Xue hesitated as he raised his weapon up. Looking at the fighting people he made his move right as Pin Feng almost collapsed.
*Crrcckk!* A row of ice moved in to block the attack by the North Guard. Pin Feng took the chance to fall back and regroup.
"What the hell is this idiot doing!?" Tang Bo asked incredulously. "Is he out of his mind?!"
"He is out his rabid ass mind yes." Leroy said gravely. He stepped forward wanting to push for Pin Feng to be killed. Chan-Yeol had a foot in the grave already so he was not a priority anymore. "Chu Xue... you need to think this over, Pin Feng is a part of a Rebellious group and part of the Assassination Guild. Both forces that have killed several innocent people in the last few days. Doing this can be seen as joining their side or at least that of a sympathizer."
"I.."
"You dare to get in the way of the North King's arrest decree, you must be tired of living!" A North Guard was outraged at what just happened. 'Our Lord gave us this simple task and we messed it up, I knew it was a mistake to allow the Princess to see us this way instead of outright killing them upon arrival!'
"Chu Xue, you don't have to get yourself involved in this, you have a bright future ahead of you still!" Pin Feng yelled as he retreated. Realizing this was a terrible situation he got his friend in, he was still glad for the assist. "If you offend the North Kingdom, your situation will become extremely dangerous!"
"So what if it's the North Kingdom, or if it's his guards?" Chu Xue said with a self-righteous tone. It almost made Leroy sick to his stomach to hear the sheer stupidity coming from his mouth. And it only got worse by the second "I only know that Pin Feng can be considered my brother, so what if I die here today defending him? I won't allow anyone to take you away either!"
"Why are you so stupid?" Tang Bo asked. But realized the implications in a second of what would happen if he was considered a friend. 'If Chu Xue shows ties to the rebels, that will make them look closer at everyone involved!' His jaw dropped as he panicked. 'Let alone the family, me and the others might be killed for not finding a traitor out and taking care of it ourselves!'
The young man's mind was spinning out of control. A few of the other students had gotten enough strength back to at least be on guard now.
"I am from the Light Lion-Ice Family, a once proud Nobility! We do all things fairly and properly, I will never fail anyone ever again!" Chu Xue built up his qi to fight. Not realizing that his very actions were technically failing his entire family and putting them in danger right now. Hindsight was a muthafucker really. "As long as I'm here I won't let them lay a finger on you!"
"Stupid little..." Leroy facepalmed as his Flameligthing Martial Arts kicked to the maximum with the Core Qi supplementing it a little. His fingers glowed as he charged forward to attack with increasing lighting currents. The air warped from the intensity of the Fire-lightning Body pushed to the max. Half of his Flame Vortex Core Qi was in reserve for the unexpected happening. But Chu Xue would not let him get to Pin Feng. "Get out of my way you walking corpse!"
"I won't let you take him!" He was determined and of all the things to happen, the little shit broke through in Cultivation! "Don't push me to far!"
"I will kill you Chu Xue.." Leroy said as he slashed downward like an X. His blow missed but unearthed up several rocks. With a push of his qi outward, the rocks were launched forward thanks to Spatial Sense. "..then I am killing the idiot son Feng of a framed traitor!"
In his anger, Leroy let some info slip. This was bad, as the North guards frowned at the name. Their battle intent dropped significantly. But Chan-Yeol was also surprised by that remark. His guard dropped allowing Leroy to injure him once more.
*Spurt!* Blood spattered everywhere as Leroy's fingers pierced his opponent in a clutch. With a dig in sightly, Leroy dispersed his qi inside before he was kicked away. The Flamelighting Qi ran rampant inside Chan-Yeol burning at his insides.
"Damn you!" Chan-Yeol moved back as fast as he could. His chest burned in agony as the Qi rampaged inside and fought against his own. 'It's the same as that brat, Tang Bo a few days ago! What is going on in the North Territories and this Akademy?!'
This information needed to be delivered to the higher-ups.
"Tch!" Leroy sucked his teeth. The counterattack was enough to do some damage. If he used all of his Qi this would be over. But too many eyes and something about the North Guards irked him a bit. 'With all their strength, they should be able to kill that bastard easily. Oh, wait...'
He just then remembered they wanted to capture them actually. Was it to capture them to protect the son of a framed comrade or something more practical like squeezing them for information?
Leroy let his fire die down some and started to breathe heavily. It was an act to allow him to pull back a little from the possible trap. Remembering that a very strong person had attacked him recently it made sense it could be the North King coming to get his daughter.
