The little area was quiet as the guards, Hamlet members, and a few passing by students froze. That was a lot of money, not just because Amp Flower was worth a small fortune lately but because the sheer quantity went a long way beforehand. And that amount of gold was the equivalent of a large Town's direct tax income.
"That buys my service for at least a year. With a number of house calls and three medical procedures amount whether necessary or unnecessary."
"A number is needed if we are gonna make a business transaction." Tang Xiu was joking but she didn't think he would calmly answer her like this. "Also unnecessary and necessary sounds too vague. How about 5 procedures a month?"
"Hmm very well but the material still has to be provided and the number of visits will be 5. It is only for medical help not just because someone wants to discuss something or another type of nonsense." Mulling it over briefly he decided to include a type of lecture for free. "Every week for three hours I will give A medical lecture for you on a topic of your choice. That's a total of 52 Topics, particularly in regard to Medicine itself."
He emphasized Medicine since Cultivation was a new field despite what the had done so far to make himself better. However, the knowledge from Modern Medicine while he was also studying Cultivation Medicine was enough to fill a small library already.
The resources she offered would definitely let him purchase enough that he could break into the Qi Refining Realm. That increase over his very being and shifting through his Intellect would make this an easy subject.
"Fine but you have to give my people all a checkup that way I can judge your work firsthand, can't spend all these funds and get a dud." Tang Xui was trying to haggle for more as she really didn't want to spend her entire inheritance in one go. Leroy looked at the few Clear Tang Family members around and gave a simple nod. "That includes those I acquire later."
"No dice, you are not going to just decide to add and take away Faer Tang Family members at your leisure in a little loophole."
"Fine, then the people I have now and you only get half the Amp Flower." It was the better commodity compared to the gold if she sold and traded it correctly. "You also have to give some insurance this won't be given to others."
"I can only vow not to share with anyone else what I do for you and to you. Since you are their leader, I am willing to share what I do to them with you but no one else. Such as an elder of your family and whatnot." It was not really doctor-patient confidentiality but good enough in this time period. "That means if someone ask about their condition I won't say a thing. It's all in your hands."
Moving a few things around in her Storage Bag to her Storage Ring, the first one Leroy had actually laid sights on in a calm situation, the Storage Bag was tossed over to him.

Leroy's Room-
.
Having gotten enough food to eat from the cafeteria and spending all the resources, Leroy made haste to get back to study. He only spoke with the members of the Hamlet to check in and see how they fared after they threw their lots in with those of Tang Xui and Tang Huo.
Luckily they were able to get in with members who had good relations with the Hamlet overall. Even Tessi had no real complaints working for Tang Xui.
Searching the books he found of interest on Qi in the room and full methods on Body Tempering past breaking through to the Qi Condensation Realm, a nice lecture had already formed to help them and himself to draw out anything missed.
Reading it intensely and surprised it was literally the same thing as all the other ways said in light novels, mangas, games, and anime, Leroy felt his confidence increase. Qi itself was just an energy that had various forms and existed in the sense of the very flesh. This is why some spoke of Blood Qi which was the man use while one was in the Body Tempering Realm.
But some cultivators didn't have a knack for keeping outer Qi inside them. Which had them dubbed as untalented or unskilled. That was not really the case as their Body rejected the outside Qi as being either inferior or unnatural.
That was Leroy's summation. Pulling out a few of the Elixers' purchases for such a medical experiment he made sure to buy ones made by different Alchemists. Even with it being a different person having done so, the method would still be the same.
Just different Qi in play. Having spent money on several different types of lenses and tubing, he went to work on making a microscope. The information on how they used water and tubing helped him facile a better one from his own memory. Basically closing the gap somewhat.
Several Formations etched all over and various components while putting it together, Leroy couldn't wait until he broke into Qi Condensation and had better control of Qi entirely.
'Let's begin!' Excited a little, he poured a droplet of the Elixer on a slide. Intensely focused while circulating his Blood Qi, every detail was captured. Both hands write the image detail and different states. 'Those might be antibodies and those look like cells from something else.'
'Second one!' Doing the same thing to another slide with a different elixir used, an immediate problem was found compared to the other. Small gray particulates were found that attached to plant cells and what looked to be a type of antibody.
Watching for a bit, the particulates would then grow in size as everything was eaten. It was a vicious microorganism and definitely not worth consuming. Unless there was some benefit that he didn't know about in regard to it.
Switching to another slide and doing the same thing, he was happy as it did the same as the first. A few red particulates floated around but they didn't attack the antibodies but other microorganisms.
After taking the notes down he started back from the beginning but decide to add a drop of his blood to the mix.
The first slide had no problem as his antibodies which were a bluish-white, devoured certain particulates. Afterward, the antibodies looked to be unhealthy and started to shrink. Until bumped by white blood cells.
They would fuse and grow stronger in each passing. Luckily the white blood cells did not destroy any red blood cells. That would have been disastrous. Moving to the second slide, however, that is exactly what happened.
'What the hell are these gray particulates!?' Watching it destroy everything and even converted some of his red blood cells, Leroy was alarmed. 'My Blood Qi is able to fight back somewhat but... it's overwhelmed a little.'
Switching to the next slide he did the same thing. The red particulates immediately attached to his red blood cells and grew in size. The antigens nearby had a small ripple of blue-white energy before returning to normal.
After some time the only thing left were antigens floating around and very small traces of bacteria. It wasn't until the bacteria clumped together that the antigens and blood cells did anything. The antigens would seemingly wrap around the bacteria breaking it down.
The broken-down bacteria changed in color a little. When it floated toward the red blood cells they were consumed. It was quite the site and beg the question of what else would happen.
Using the first elixir on the second elixer was a little disturbing. The gray particulates masked themselves for lack of better term as it attacked the antigens in the first elixer. Afterward when nothing was left the gray particulates would just float around harmlessly.
'Let's add the third to see what happens.' Feeling a little bothered, Leroy was about to burn the elixirs made by that alchemist in a pit. 'Well, this is interesting.'
The red particulates would float harmlessly around but the moment the gray particulates bumped into it they would fight. A tug of war of assimilation.
Majority time the red particulate would win but the moment it bumped into a disguised gray particulate that consumed some cells it would lose. A deadly type of masking that Leroy only heard about it the most viral diseases had been witnessed.
It took about half an hour before the only thing left was the gray particulate and mutated gray cells. Adding his own blood to the first elixir and then dropping it onto the second elixir without blood gave a good result. The majority of the cells were destroyed with every trace of the gray particulates and gray cells destroyed.
Doing the same with the third elixir and his blood the results were more promising. Red blood cells and the bluish-white antigens were able to revive in a way cells that were currently converting. Even the disguised cells would be targeted and destroyed outright.
Taking two drops of his own blood, he added it to all the slides in which the gray particulates won outright. The expected happened with his own antigens and white blood cells reducing the effect the gray particulates had. But by itself, it was only able to do so much.
Trying again with the addition of other elixirs it was a lot better. His blood and antigens were better support in destroying the gray. Even if it was bigger in size the other cells would last longer and grow whenever his whitish-blue bloods cells were destroyed.
'Haaa, this is really out there. I wish Richard was here, he was more experiments and the use of chemicals than me.' Sighing internally, he got up once he witnessed the gray particulates being all destroyed. 'Can't waste and really need to break through quickly, so can only gamble this will work.'
Adding a few drops of blood to all the other alchemist elixirs and then checking them over, he then diluted the ones made by the alchemist that made the ones with gray particulates. Reducing to small amounts, he then added the better ones with another edition of his blood to all of the divided ones.
As that was processing, Leroy moved over a small spot in the room. He sat up a few fruits to make Penicillium mold. Another spot to make Fire Cider, and a few potted plants to grow Willow Trees. Asprin and Antibiotics were a must-have considering the elixirs he just came across and not to mention what other horrible shit existed disease-wise.
'All set, now back to breaking through since I have calmed down enough.' The busy work gave enough time for the elixirs and his blood to finish. A quick check and another addition of his blood, Leroy downed all the potions. 'So many things to do, this should help all the same.'
