Unknown of the devil that had fixed her eyes on her, Jane enjoyed her afternoon break. Miss Long Jane the daughter of Ginko Long the owner of Long hospitals, one of the biggest hospital in the country. Although being average in studies Jane secured job in Long hospitals only due to her father's position. So she was a well known parachute.
In this territory Dr.Jane was invincible or so she thought. No one dared to cross her and she was praised beyond her capabilities. Although she was a common physician she was highly respected.
Jie was 160 cm tall. Fair skinned proud lady. Her beautiful cat eyes and her tall nose and peach blossom lips perfectly suited and complimented each other. She was 24 years old. She was beautiful but was no match for Ari who looked like a goddess.
And let's just say Jane isn't the most humble person. Extremely proud of her beauty and status Jane never failed to look down upon others.
Ever since Ray joined the hospital Jane followed him everywhere and it was quite clear as the both of them never had any common patients because their areas of work were totally different. Why would a low grade common physician Jane and a genius cardiovascular surgeon Ray work together?
Ray could not just ask her too leave as he was too kind for his own good and also she was the spoilt daughter of his employer.
After making afternoon rounds Jane began walking towards Ray's office as she did daily. As she was about to enter a man with huge bouquet of black roses walked past her and into Ray's office.( Guess who sent flowers which were Ray's absolute favorite?... bingo..... the devil herself)
As the man entered the office Ray was surprised to see such a big bouquet of flowers and that too his favorite ones. He asked the man about the sender but the man did not know himself. That man was the manager of the flowers shop and the owner of the shop called himself to make a beautiful boutique of flowers sent to him and to deliver them to hospital and the payment was already made with an enormous tip as well.
It was not strange for Ray to receive flowers as many of his patients and their families sent him as gratitude for his kindness. And also his admirers sent him flowers but all of those had names attached to them and also nobody outside of his immediate family knew about his likes and dislikes(well Ari already researched him in and out so she is an exception).
When Ray was busy thinking about this mystery sender he heard a gentle knock on the door.
" Come in " Ray said.
Jane came in and was surprised to see the bouquet as well. She asked Ray about the sender but he didn't knew himself. Jane thought it was another bitch throwing herself at her handsome man. (Jane is such a hypocrite, isn't she doing the same? And why is Ray her man) And she knew how to get rid of such pests as she had done so the in past.
Without missing a beat she said " Why black? Is someone trying to curse you? This person must really be senseless to send you black roses. They look so ugly, I am sure you hate them as well." She was so sure that she knew all his likes and dislikes that she never felt the need to reconfirm it from.
Ray was offended at Jane's unnecessary arrogance towards someone she don't even know. And above all she called his favorite flowers ugly. Ray clenched his fist trying to suppress his anger and calmly replied
" Oh no it's not like that Dr. Jane I love these flowers they are my favorite ones. And about them being ugly I am afraid you have a different opinion than I do. The sender must be a person who really understand my taste."
Hearing this Jane was both embarrassed and furious at the same time.
Embarrassed because she just called Ray's favorite flowers ugly and furious that he favoured the sender over her the queen of the medical field. Jane was still standing in the door and was about to say something when a soft heavenly voice came from behind her and she turned to face the beautiful devil.
" Dr. Ray did you like the flowers? I was afraid that you won't like them, I choose something according to my taste as I didn't knew what you liked" Ari spoke as she was holding on her Secretary Jin for support. Her leg was still not healed.
" So the mystery sender was miss Ari. Thank you so much, these are my favorite flowers."
The happiness could clearly be read off his face. Ari thought to herself ' Why is he so easy to please? He looks even more handsome when he is happy. If this continues so smoothly he will soon be my husband.' A beautiful smile crept on her lips. The secretary Jin watched his inhumanly boss act in horror. After torturing him day and night and collecting all the information on Ray his boss is naming everything as coincidence? Was his all efforts in vain for his boss to impress a man?
Ray knew Ari didn't yet recover and isn't allowed to stand for long so he asked her and Jin to have a seat totally ignoring Jane.
Ari and Jin walked past her and sat on sofa near the window. Ray sat across them. He was relieved that he don't have to bear Jane's bragging and her daily report about others for today.
Jane was furious not only did this bitch ignored her but she also have Ray's favour. Who exactly is she?
Jane cleared her throat as if making people aware that she is still in the room.But before she could utter a word Ray interrupted
" Miss Ari there was really no need for these flowers and for you to visit me personally."
"This is my way to express my gratitude didn't I say last time that i will thank you separately when everything is settled, Dr.Ray I hope you won't mind." Ari smiled pleasantly. Jin was creeped out on the sidelines.
" But these type of roses don't grow naturally and are quite rare, how did you managed to get so many of these? I can barely get few when I want them" Ray asked. He knew her status and thought she was luck that she can buy her favorite flowers without trouble.
Looking at Ray's cute expression Ari felt like her heart was about to melt.
" Oh no Dr. Ray I did not buy these. These are from my personal garden. Actually they are not real black they are the darkest shade of maroon. As black roses can't grow naturally I had someone make me these that are almost black. And if you like them so much I will make sure to deliver them to you everyday. I own a greenhouse too so it can be available year round"
Flustered by the cheabol richness and attitude Ray replied
" Thank you so much for your generosity but I can't accept your offer"
" No need to thank me this is the least I could do. For my people already caused you much inconvenience the either day."
Seeing Ray ignoring her Jane wanted to rip that bitche's head off.
She said arrogantly looking at Ari " How did you know these were his favorite I have known him for couple of years now, being pretty close but I was unaware of it. Well it's quite uncommon choice as black roses represent death and evil." In hurry to put Ari at her place Jane unknowingly insulted Ray's taste once more.
Ray was amazed at how disrespectful Jane can be. Does she even know who she is speaking to.
Ari smirked " Then Dr. Jane must really be too involved in herself to pay attention to others. And these are one of my favorite flowers too so I thought he would appericate them if at all he didn't like them. As he does not say rude words like others do so freely without knowing who they are aming at. And if Dr. Jane didn't already knew by common sense these black roses also symbolize new beginning or end of something unwanted" Ari emphasized the last word meaningfully as if that unwanted thing was Jane.
Jane's face turned red in anger her blood started boiling. How dare this bitch insult her in front of Ray. She will pay for this. Without even thinking she stood up and yelled
" How dare you disrespect me. You called me rude and unwanted you bitch you will pay for this."
As Jane stepped towards Ari, Jin stood up defensively in front of Ari. Ray was shocked and didn't knew how to react. Motioning Jin to step aside Ari stood up and walked right in front of Jane and with a bone chilling aura surrounding her she replied in a mocking tone.
" Miss Jane I never mentioned your name while speaking. Did I? But it's good to know that even you can be selfaware sometimes."
Ari wearing flats was towering over Jane even though Jane was wearing heels as Ari was much taller when the stood facing each other. Jane felt a cold shiver down her spine. She staggered few steps back overwhelmed with ominous feeling.She was angry but what Ari said was truth she didn't mentioned her name. Gathering all her courage she said
" Who do you think you are, huh? Do you even know who you are speaking to? This hospital in which you are taking treatment belongs to my father. I will have you kicked out of here."
Smiling dangerously Ari took a step towards her " So this is how you managed to get a job here with that IQ, I was wondering about that for a while. At least I don't need any relative's power to identity myself miss Jane. Parachute?"
Jane's face turned blood red as she yelled " you..."
"Stop it Jane, don't yell this is hospital" Ray said angrily. " I think you should leave now. You have created enough ruckus already."
This was the first time Ray had yelled at her or in that case it was the first time he ever yelled and that too because of this bitch.
" But she is the one being rude.... I just..."
"I said leave." Ray's stern voice shocked everyone as the door was still open the passerbys had stopped to listen to the commotion. Hearing Ray's cold voice Jane stomped off angrily. Everyone who heard the conversation looked at Jane with hate and disgust. During the entire conversation Ari's voice was calm and collected while Jane was just shouting at top of her lungs.
Ray apologized to Ari " I am really sorry about this."
Ari was happy to see her husband to be had stood up for her " You don't have to be Dr. Ray. I understand it wasn't your fault. Anyways I am pretty sure that you both work for different departments then why was she even here?"
Ray sighed " She keeps following me. Our departments are on opposite side of building but she still manages to find me everyday. I can't do anything she is daughter of Mr.Long"
Ari felt sad for her poor hubby...to be. She will definitely take care of this soon.
Ray's face looked terribly guilty" I apologise once again for you have to hear this."
Ari smiled and replied" It's not my first time dealing with these kinds of people. In my field I had my share of getting yelled at when I started but now I know how to retaliate. So you don't need to feel guilty."
Ray's admiration for Ari increased as he stared at her with awestruck eyes.
On the other hand Jane went straight to her father's office to complain about that bitch.
(I wonder how will she react when she will come to know who Ari really is.)
