Ember Island
Zuko
A debate rages in my head about what I'm about to do, one thing is to kill someone in the heat of the moment as I'm lost in my rage like it happened to that idiot servant, it's another thing entirely to torture someone for information. Damned Ozai has put me in a very awkward situation and as time passes it ceases to be awkward and enters the realm of truly dangerous.
As I tap the cheek of the woman, I can't help but think back to Azula and whatever she might be doing now. I doubt that one little talk has broken the chains Ozai has on her, but it would make her think.
The party is going to be very important, and I have to make sure that no matter what happens things don't escalate, shit, I really could use some ancient wisdom from Iroh right now.
The spy finally opens her eyes and as her consciousness returns so does the fear return too.
"Tell me do you have any family? Just answer yes or no"
"Yes" she avoids looking into my eyes as she answers
I see, I think I know why she did it, if she hadn't looked away in shame I would have thought that Ozai was threatening her family but that probably isn't the case, most likely she received compensation and her family would get some nice jobs and maybe a noble title after she was done with her little mission, everything she said before about being threatened was nothing more than a lie.
At least the moral conundrum that I was in has been resolved.
"What a pity, are you the only spy here?" her heart started beating faster and I feared that she would pass out once more, so I slapped her to get a different reaction "Answer the question"
"Yes, the Fire Lord didn't think that he would need more"
The thought of making her my own spy crossed my mind but the risk was too great and the potential rewards too small but if I killed her I would have to deal with another spy, I would be better prepared though, hmm.
"Thank you for your honesty" with a quick move I snap her neck
I better clean this up.
After a little cleaning via waterbending and disposing of the body with a rather crazy amount of fire I was ready to go and see Iroh again, the walk back to the ship was rather nice all things considered but I can't help but notice that there is a distinct lack of people around.
My suspicions about the lack of people prove almost prophetic as I barely have time to move out of the way from an oncoming arrow, from the sides four men with swords come out and start swinging with wild abandon, what they lack in skill they more than make up for in speed.
With sweeping arm movements I create arcs of fire meant to slice the enemy but in this case my purpose is to get some breathing room, as they retreat I finally get enough space to do a proper stance and release a more concentrated blade of fire that snaps two of their swords making them retreat.
The sound of more arrows cutting through the air alerts me to their arrival, as I make a dome of fire over my back to protect myself, once the danger has passed a fire whip emerges from my right hand as I advance on the would-be assassins.
"You've made a terrible mistake in thinking you could kill me with this kind of attack" the whip in my hand sallies forth and strikes the two unarmed men in their heads knocking them out as it hits their heads, the remaining swordsmen change tactics as they put themselves on opposite sides before rushing me, I drop to the ground and let fire come out of my legs as I kick them away.
This time there are no more arrows, the men attacking me must have realized the futility of using long range weapons.
"It looks like you're alone now" I mock them as they snarl at me
"And they're getting lonelier by the second" the voice of Iroh come from behind my attackers followed by the sound of marching boots "It seems like you found trouble on the road prince Zuko"
"Well, I've always had bad luck" Iroh chuckles at my answer before ordering the men to capture the swordsmen who quickly let their blades fall to the ground in surrender.
"Come nephew, let's leave the road and talk about everything that's happened since you left the ship"
"Only if I can have some tea" I respond in a teasing manner
After uncle had enough of making jokes about my ability to find trouble we finally arrived at the ship and after going for our usual spots and telling him about everything that happened, well, almost everything as I neglected to mention the spy or Azula.
"What do you think uncle? is minister Qin lying?"
"Hmm, I don't think so, he has been unusually open with you and even if it was a trap I doubt Ozai would let him off without any kind of reprimand for the comments he made, Ozai's pride is a great part of his identity and any insult even one ordered by him, especially one ordered by him, would invite punishment not doing so would be giving tacit permission to that person to question him"
"I know he's doing this out of his own self interest but if we get enough support then we could avoid a civil war, for all that Ozai rules with an iron fist he can't directly oversee everything, if we turn his people against him his fall would be easier for the citizens"
Iroh looked on at the horizon before turning back to me "I have received an invitation from some retired generals and their families after the party, if the special permission from the Fire Lord hasn't been revoked immediately after the event, I would like for you to accompany me"
"Do you think it's wrong uncle? What we do, even as we do it for the people, goes against your personal beliefs" I wanted Iroh to support me but if he hesitated that would be worse than him not supporting me at all.
"I just wish that things hadn't gone this way, I wish the world was a gentler place" he sighed at the end
"That is why we fight, to make the world a better place"
Iroh looked at me, watching for any doubt to emerge on my features but as he found none he nodded "We have been avoiding the subject of your attack"
I knew he was trying to change the subject, but I let him, making him uncomfortable wasn't the goal here "I think it's fairly obvious that it was an attack carried out by Ozai"
"I don't think so, if he really wanted you dead, he would have sent far better assassins than those we captured. I think that someone else is targeting you"
That didn't make much sense, there was no political opponent or group that wanted me dead more than Ozai, but perhaps we were thinking too much about the possibility of death.
"Perhaps they weren't meant to kill me, think about it uncle, if I had been hurt enough to miss the party or convinced to leave the island because of the attack then Ozai's life would be easier"
"True" was his short response.
"General, I'm sorry to interrupt but there is a message from the Fire Lord." The courier waited there for a second before Iroh took the scroll in his hands and then he left.
"What does it say uncle?" I was worried, if Iroh was commanded to leave the island then that would be one less ally with me here and worst of all my best warrior.
Iroh quickly skimmed the message and as he read a look of confusion started growing on his face "Ozai wants to have a meal with me right now, he also made it very clear that you are not to be invited"
"Do you think it's a trap? You are as strong as him and more popular with the rank and file, it's also no secret that you favor me over Azula and after my attack this could also be the perfect moment to claim that dissenters infiltrated the island intent on killing members of the royal family"
"Perhaps but it would be too convenient for him, enough to cripple his support for years as not many people like the thought of a man assassinating his brother, death in a duel is more palatable, honorable even to some people but this, this could destroy any control he has over the government"
"I guess it's time for you to face your brother"
"Believe me Zuko, it won't be a happy reunion"
Author note: a short chapter, conspiracies abound and a new conflict is intriduced. next chapter will be a bunch of diferent POVS. also i didnt notice the hour so let's pretend that i wasnt late by several hours.

Iroh
Iroh was worried, this unexpected meeting called by Ozai could be a trap, but the prospect of death wasn't what worried him, Iroh had lived a long life, he had experienced almost everything it had to offer and sampled life's highs and lows both.
If he died in this exact moment, he would only have one regret and that would be not being there for Zuko's coronation as Fire Lord and it was exactly that what worried him, his nephew Zuko and his attitude, Iroh knew that Zuko had greatness in him even before the sun had blessed him, nevertheless, Zuko had his faults, he was quick to anger, lacked patience and had a disturbingly callous disregard for the life of those that weren't his subjects.
The first two could and would go away given enough time, age tempers one's character and the fear of lagging behind that all young people had, but his attitude towards the common people of the world was a cause for concern.
Iroh had long suspected that there was something inherently wrong with his brother, Ozai had never been a normal man and his children had inherited some part of the malicious spirit he carried, Azula being the perfect example of that; Zuko thought that he could fix his sister, but Iroh feared that there really was nothing to heal and that Azula simply was like that from the start.
The old general couldn't help but sigh at Zuko's faith in his sister, he didn't know where it came from or why it remained despite the proof of Azula's madness, the girl was crazy and she lacked most of the redeeming qualities that Zuko showed and Iroh thought that even saying 'most' was him being kind and giving Azula the benefit of the doubt when it came to the matter of her feelings for Zuko, Iroh honestly didn't know if she would kill Zuko if given the chance.
The people on the streets that were on his way to the new house Ozai had built stared at him and whispered but he barely paid attention to the chattering people, Iroh had had a lifetime to get used to the attention of the people, and in his tenure as general he had heard worse things from the soldiers, it was a point of pride for Iroh that he never really spoke with profanities even when he had spent a long time on the frontlines of the war.
Finally, he arrived at the destination that was written in the message, it was a new palace-like building perhaps twice the size of the home where Zuko had met Ozai, it had banners hanging everywhere a statement of who owned the place no doubt, a servant came and greeted him at the door before companying him to the place where they would eat.
The boy opened the door but didn't step inside and quickly closed it once Iroh had entered the room, a long table with only three chairs was waiting, and on top of it rested enough food for a feast, it was wasteful, extravagant and everything that Iroh had come to expect from his brother.
Speaking of whom, Iroh looked at the head of the table where Ozai sat and watched at his right Azula sat there pensive and barely paying attention to the food on her plate, Iroh walked over to the open seat.
"You look good Iroh, I hope this humble meal is enough to satiate your appetite" trust Ozai to start a conversation with a fat joke, Iroh almost snorted at the childish attempt of his brother to make him uncomfortable "We have many things to talk about and don't hold back your thoughts on my account, I've sent away the servants so we can have total privacy"
Iroh wasn't sure if he believed him, for all that he knew a battalion of firebenders could drop from the ceiling or rush through the doors if he said the wrong thing.
"Thank you, little brother," if Ozai thought that he could insult Iroh with impunity he was wrong, the not-so-subtle reminder of his seniority made his brother scowl "Would you like to talk about something in particular while I'm here?"
Iroh wasn't going to be the one to bring up the topic of Zuko, not if he wanted to control the flow of the conversation and Ozai was always impatient so Iroh wouldn't have to wait too much, but perhaps his brother would surprise him with some restraint.
"I will be honest with you" Ozai looked as if he had eaten a rotten fish as he spoke "I would like for you to stay in the capital, a new wave of officers is being prepared to take control of the armies in the colonies and I would like you to help them"
Azula was surprisingly silent Iroh had expected her to question his abilities or even a simple insult, his niece being so unusually calm was unnerving and distracted him from his blatant attempt of Ozai to make him stay away from Zuko as if he would ever consider such a thing, Iroh would only part ways with Zuko if he was the one who asked for it.
Ozai noticed the look he was giving Azula and smiled "I'm glad you think highly of Azula, but I don't believe she is ready for such a big post; besides she lacks experience when it comes to organizing the necessary things for the war effort"
No such thing had passed through his mind but Iroh would leave his brother to his delusions "oh, yes…I also have noticed that her temperament seems to have cooled off"
"Yes, she's become more patient and useful unlike the other one" finally it seemed that it was time to talk about Zuko.
"You are being a bit harsh, I doubt that someone chosen by Agni would be deficient in any way" unspoken was that anyone not chosen was lacking in worth in the eyes of the sun and the scowl of Ozai told Iroh that his brother understood the message.
"Everyone makes mistakes, but I think this is the first time that a spirit has made such a big one" Ozai placed the cup in front of him to his lips and drank the wine within before continuing "Zuko is still very lacking"
"I wouldn't know why you think so, your son told me that you were very impressed by the ability granted to him to resist the flames you let out"
"The fact that he is out there, proud of an ability that isn't his is enough to tell me enough about his abilities and personality" Ozai almost spat out the words.
"I don't believe it our place to say whether someone deserves and ability or not, the fact of the matter is that he has it and that even if it's a reward or gift is not a shameful thing to have"
"Please," Ozai's disgust was clear, "you can't still believe that Agni cares? The first sign of activity in more than two hundred years, and what did he do? give my unworthy son a blessing!"
"You should be careful with your words brother" Iroh's warning was delivered with deadly seriousness.
"Are you threatening me, brother?" The heat in the room was starting to rise and the flames along the walls that illuminated the room rose along Ozai's tone. Azula, who had been lost in her thoughts, finally seemed to be paying attention to what was happening and put her hands on the table ready to spring up and attack Iroh.
"It was a warning, spirits are proud beings, and I don't think Agni takes kindly to insults" Iroh answered Ozai without backing down as there were signs of fire in his mouth, The Dragon of the West was ready to start roaring at a moment's notice.
The fight that was about to break out was stopped by a servant funnily enough, the man opened the door while bowing "My Lord, there is an urgent message from commander Zhao, I apologize but it appears to be very urgent"
Ozai would normally not stop or back down even if it caused the deaths of others but fighting Iroh was the opposite of what he wanted right now so he stopped and with a quick word had the message placed directly into his hands.
"We were being a tad violent, I will give you some time to think about my offer brother, for your sake I hope you make the right decision"
Ozai stood up and left the room while reading the letter, Azula looked at his back but remained in her spot and looked at the food that she had ignored while Iroh and Ozai were talking.
Azula sat down with a huff and started eating a little bit of everything as Iroh watched, he was hungry too but even as he wanted to try some of the other dishes but refrained from grabbing anything that was not first eaten by Azula, perhaps he was being a bit paranoid but when royalty had always had a predisposition for accidents some caution was better than none.
"You've been lost in thought for a while now Azula, would you like to share your troubles? I might be able to help" Iroh wasn't expecting her to take his advice or even pay attention to his offer, but he made the effort to try and reach his niece for Zuko's sake.
To his surprise, Azula thought about the offer before dismissing the thought and that was more than what Iroh was expecting, perhaps Zuko was right and he could reach Azula as it seemed that even just being close had given her some patience, he continued his meal in silence along with her and waited to see if she would try to share anything with him.
Mai
Mai was still shocked about what happened when she saw Zuko, Mai knew that he would be a different person. It was impossible for him not to change after what happened and even more, after traveling the world for almost three years, but she really wasn't expecting his new attitude and boldness.
Mai did not blush easily, in fact, most emotions didn't come easily to her, perhaps it was simply a quirk of her personality or that there really was nothing interesting to live for, regardless of that, Zuko had always been able to make her feel…things.
She was not about to say love and start spinning around Tylee style while screaming about happy things, Mai was mature enough to recognize that she was attracted to Zuko, that she wanted to spend time with him and have his attention all to herself. All of that was even before she saw him again.
Her legs rubbed together, and heat pooled in her stomach as she imagined once more the chiseled muscles of Zuko, he had become surprisingly muscular and he had gotten bigg- taller, she corrected herself before she thought of something even more inappropriate.
Zuko had been very bold, very, very, bold and Mai liked it. It was nice to know that the man you wanted to date clearly appreciated your beauty, not that she cared if he said it, just that he showed her that he did.
Mai wanted to see him again, perhaps she would be a little adventurous and let Zuko hold her hand while kissing, maybe more if she liked how it felt. It would be more comfortable for her if they met at her vacation home but sneaking Zuko inside her house was an impossibility and her father doesn't appreciate Zuko as much as he did before, if he caught him in her room he would probably go to the Fire Lord and cause trouble for him.
Sometimes Mai wished for the ability to be as uncaring as Azula, if she didn't give a damn for her family or the politics that surrounded it she would pack her clothes and go along with Zuko.
There was hope still as rumors were running rampant on the island right now, as the news of Ozai meeting Zuko and of Iroh having dinner with Ozai and Azula gave some measure of credibility to the other rumor that had been starting to get traction in the higher echelons of society.
If Zuko was really blessed by Agni and proved his worth in the competition Ozai prepared for him then maybe her dreams of going with him could be realized, if Zuko's exile was revoked then her father would probably throw Mai into the ship himself.
The possibility of being the wife of the Fire Lord was too good to pass up and if Mai was being honest the higher rank she would have in court over Azula would make her happy, not that she would ever tell or imply to Azula that she is better than her, Mai liked her skin as it was.
Minister Qin
"How did it go? Was he interested?" The voice of one of his collaborators came from the corner of the room, the man standing in the shadow as Qin approached him, they didn't know if one of Ozai's pets was following one of them so they didn't have much time.
"He was receptive, you will be happy to know that his uncle is loyal to the bone and now it's a matter of when rather than if he moves, we could end this war in a year or less if things go according to the plan" Qin spoke in hushed tone making sure to look around as if he was simply admiring the view.
"This is great news! I have to ask though if things were to go badly could we win?" for all the seriousness of the question, his 'friend' had a rather playful tone.
"We can, it would take time and we would lose much but in the end, we would win. You haven't asked about the security around our new friend, so I assume you know something"
"He was attacked recently, low-level mercenaries that were not very skilled but as you know numbers tend to put battles into perspective, our friend handled things and didn't even get a scratch, clearly his uncle has been teaching him how to fight"
Qin was not an experienced fighter by any means, and he had little knowledge about the actual way to wage war, his expertise was in the mechanical and administrative side of things so he would trust his shadowy friend when it came to such things.
"Will you approach his uncle? I know that you are familiar with each other, perhaps with the two of you-"
"No" the word came out softly but it had an unexpected edge that made Qin stop talking and pay attention "What we are doing, what I'm doing goes against the purpose of our organization, and no matter the reasons his uncle would not forgive the misuse of funds I've engaged in"
Qin didn't know the general personally, so he held his tongue and proceeded to swallow any comment or question about the subject and changed it entirely "his father visited him" Qin let the words hang in the air the message carried across clearly to the man in the shadows.
"I will try to contact some students who are loyal to me, they won't raise much alarm in the eyes of his father and this way we can communicate in an easier manner" with those words the man left and Qin continued with his exploration of the island.

Ember Island
Zuko
Finally, it was time for my reintroduction to the court of the fire nation, I was dressed opulently perhaps I was a bit overdressed but after being out of the public eye for so long a strong impression could do the difference when it comes to the perception of my position, as always I had some clothes beneath me which were easier to move in and I was not being cooked alive because I finally managed to control the heat of my surroundings.
I was still very far away from freezing an enemy with my mastery of the ability but I was getting there, on the other hand, it seemed that my Kryptonian powers were starting to stagnate, it wasn't surprising I was already at what someone could call a tier five Kryptonian, it was going to take a while for me to jump to the next tier.
Having enhanced senses was neat and I was sure that if I focused on training my ability to hear I would be able to tell if someone is lying with their pulse just like many superheroes with super hearing, an ability like that would become more valuable as my rebellion gained traction.
"Are you ready for this?" Iroh looked worried even if he knew that there was no one actually capable of harming me on the island but I guess he remembers the last time Ozai made a spectacle out of me.
"I've never been more ready in my life" I was about to enter enemy territory with only Iroh by my side and I felt good about our odds.
Finally, we left my home and made our way to Ozai's new place, there was no royal procession or even a guide, it was a move to humiliate me to make me doubt myself and what I was worth. Ozai was thinking I was the same person, and he couldn't be further from the truth. I was going to be a god someday and this will be nothing but a memory in time.
The guards at the door didn't seem surprised at my arrival and even from outside I could hear the music and the way the people whispered, some were waiting to confirm the rumors, others simply were waiting for a spectacle after all it wasn't every day that one could make fun of a royal, Ozai didn't seem to be speaking content in watching the people and Azula was bothering a servant just for fun, it seems that our conversation didn't shake her as much as I thought it would.
The guard opened the doors wide and silence engulfed the room, dozens of eyes set themselves on me, they waited for Ozai to say something, and just when they were losing interest Ozai made them move away so I could have a straight shot at him.
Iroh and I walk calmly towards the makeshift throne he sits in but the heaviness of the stares is starting to become annoying, once we are there Ozai waits for me to kneel but he is left waiting as I will never again kneel for another…unless it's for sex.
"My unworthy son" he speaks slowly, savoring each word, making a spectacle of our family troubles "Where have your travels taken you?"
"From roaming the earth and from walking back and forth in it" a non-answer, a copout, one perhaps too biblical to be understood by him..
Ozai was not amused and the torches beside him sprang up scaring the people behind us, he was all show and no nuance, a boy that resented his father for loving his brother more and that lived with no love in his heart, Ozai probably didn't even love himself.
"Are you finished? I would like to eat" the fire that was rising launched itself at me, I could have stopped it and shown him that even if I wasn't 'blessed' he would be no threat to me, but this was a perfect opportunity to show everyone my resistance to fire, it was a shame about the outfit though I quite liked it.
The fire splashed harmlessly against me even as it burned my clothes, the torrent of flame intensifying for a few seconds before disappearing completely, once more my chest was bare for the world to see and the gasps behind me are sadly not about my figure but my lack of damage.
"You can go and eat, I just wanted to demonstrate your little trick for our guests" Ozai dismissed me with a sneer on his face.
I could already hear the whispers, the division between the royal family was plain for all to see and the ambitious ones would use this opportunity to get ahead in whatever way they could.
"You should sit with me Azula," I said before leaving, Azula huffed cutely at me and didn't even speak a word but there was a hint of hesitance in her eyes.
Iroh and I moved towards the food, since there was going to be some fighting later thanks to Ozai's plan to humiliate me I planned to stay shirtless. Once we were a far distance away from prying ears I decided to speak with Iroh.
"That worked out nicely, it's nice being able to rely on Ozai for once even if I'm just relaying in his terrible attitude" there was a smile on my face as I said those words, and before I continued I grabbed something that looked like a shrimp but since this was the avatar world it was probably half shrimp half something else "Should I mingle or wait for anyone to approach me?"
"Ozai's temperament will be his undoing." Iroh was laying waste to some pieces of fish as he spoke "Patience is a virtue Zuko and it always brings great rewards"
"Be careful not to eat too much uncle, we wouldn't want the dragon of the west to turn into the whale of the west"
"You should know" Iroh spoke between bites "That if I wanted, I could lose all this weight in less than a month"
"Perhaps it's time for you to prove it," I was observing the crowd looking for Mai, but I couldn't see her anywhere "things are going to get more dangerous from here on out"
An unexpected figure came toward us as we were speaking, I hadn't seen the man in years and while I respected his abilities as far as I was concerned, he was a non-threat.
I showed respect to the man by bowing before finally greeting him "Master Piandao, it's been a long time since I last saw you"
"Zuko, I hope you have continued to practice your swordsmanship" Piandao looked at Iroh and stretched out his hand "I didn't think that I would see you again general"
Iroh shook Piandao's hand and smiled "You have my eternal thanks for teaching Zuko the art of the sword, I heard that you still refuse to take new students, it would be a true shame if your techniques disappeared"
Piandao laughed at the unspoken reprimand and then spoke "It was my pleasure, Zuko has a real talent for the way of the sword and everything he has learned is a credit to his effort, not mine and your memory must be failing you as I have had students before"
"Not real students." Iroh grumbled before confusion spread across his face "Aren't you worried about being arrested? you deserted the army and Ozai has never taken people disobeying him well"
"I have already humiliated his army when they came for me before, the Fire Lord wouldn't dare to try again for fear of another failure"
"Wait" I interrupted. "Then the story about you defeating a hundred men on your own was real?"
"Yes, but for obvious reasons the army tried to bury the incident, it was impossible as there were too many witnesses and from personal experience, I can tell you that military men enjoy gossip just as much as housewives…perhaps more"
They shared another laugh before Piandao decided to leave, his fearless approach to us opened the gates and soon we were surrounded by nobles wanting to know about our trip and others asking about Agni. I was surprised by the lack of shame in these people that just moments before thought of me as someone lower than any of them.
I let Iroh speak for us. I answered some questions but refrained from speaking too much as anything I said could be taken in vastly different directions, but Iroh had some protection thanks to his fame.
A sound reached my ears, it was the sound of a woman sighing and I know only one woman who could be bored in an event like this one, excusing myself from the crowd, I moved to the stairs and made my way up, after looking around I finally saw my target staring out at the night sky from a balcony.
I walked as silently as possible while approaching her and just before she turned around I groped her ass "Hello Mai"
Atjor note hey guys its me again you know how it goes, i hope your all doing great, i finally got grammarly so there should be no more mistakes in this chapter. there chapters are going to be more or less this size for a while as i try to manage my life so i apologize for that.

"You better take your hand off my ass before I do punch you" Mai spoke in that monotone tone she always had but contrary to her words her ass pushed against my hands.
I enjoyed kneading the bubble butt in front of me before answering her "I don't know, getting punched may be worth it if I can keep this up" after squeezing rather harshly Mai let out a moan that almost had me tear off her clothes.
Mai looked at me through half-lidded eyes while biting her lip and spoke again "You were a very sweet boy before"
"Well, I am a man now" with those words hanging in the air I went for a kiss that Mai reciprocated fully, I enjoyed the sweet taste of her lips briefly before my tongue entered her mouth intent on dominating it.
After a rather intense make-out session that left her breathless, she finally spoke again "I will admit to being jealous of all the women you must have practiced with" then she delivered a rather strong slap to me.
"You should show a little more respect, prince Zuko"
"I will keep that in mind"
Mai dragged me further away from the door leading to the balcony into a little corner where a lonely table with only one chair stood overlooking the view of the beach.
"Are you going to make me stand while I sit" I laughed a little at what was probably a very childish punishment "I could do that all day"
Mai didn't smile very often or react to anything in an expressive matter and the fact that my touch managed to get a reaction out of her was more due to the advantages provided by the catalog than my abilities, that's why the moment a very peculiar smile graced her face I knew that trouble would soon follow.
Mai pushed me onto the chair and soon after placed her very delectable rump on my lap, a chill ran through my body and it had nothing to do with my lack of clothes on the uppermost part of my body.
Mai locked eyes with me briefly as she looked back before turning her face forward once more and then with a little huff she started moving on my lap, I froze as I realized why she had chosen this as punishment.
Mai deducted, correctly I might add, that I wouldn't reject her if she decided to stimulate me with her ass, and that was to be my punishment. We were in a very public event, in a very public place and I could do nothing but enjoy the fleeting moment because soon the fights that served as entertainment would begin and I was going to be one of the main attractions.
I could do many things with firebending sadly the ability to control my arousal was not one of them and soon the friction had its desired effect as my cock quickly hardened at Mai's ministrations.
"Oh my…that's rather large" I was very pleased by her reaction and thankfully the robes I was wearing did little to constrain me as otherwise I might have had to fight naked from tearing apart the last of my clothes.
Standing up and lifting the dress she had been wearing Mai allowed me to see what I had been touching before in all its glory, the best part is that she was wearing something that looked almost exactly like a thong which Mai quickly pushed aside before sitting back down on my lap trapping my cloth covered cock in between her buttocks.
"You're the first man to even see my ass, let alone have your cock rubbing against it, I hope you're happy" the words were spoken with the driest tone possible but as they were intermingled with moans, I didn't take it personally.
Trapped as I was, being tortured as I was, and with the knowledge that I would have to refrain from cumming in order to remain somewhat presentable my brain decided that it was still worth it besides a little edging every now and again just made things more fun.
Having said that there were alternatives to my current situation, in one swift move I changed Mai from her position as she now had to look at me, and with a movement of my hand, the robes that previously hid my erection fell to the floor as I undid the knots that held them up.
Two could play this game and I had always been competitive, my cock now rested in between Mai's lower lips. Mai wrapped her arms around my neck as she stared at me, her now naked slit rubbing against my manhood as she grinded against it.
"Y-you don't play fair, don't push it inside" Mai spoke her piece and resumed moaning as we both enjoyed the sensations of each other's bodies, Mai's body was flushing and quickly heating up as her pleasure became more apparent with each moment.
I simply nodded at her request before Mai took the initiative and kissed me, her tongue pushing into my mouth in an effort to lessen her moans. Mai sped up her movements, her hips were moving wildly and without care, I could see that she was about to reach her climax, so I decided to help by pressing against her.
There was something neither of us had considered while were playing our little game, Mai was already bouncing on my lap her cunt perilously close to taking in my cock inside her, and the moment she finally came her body shook violently and with her current position, Mai's movements put the tip of my cock against her virgin cunt.
Mai realized the problem a little too late as she shook, the sudden fullness making her gasp and freeze despite the pleasure.
She stared at me in shock and quickly raised he dress to see the place where we were joined.
Her hands on my shoulders were the only thing that was stopping her from impaling herself on my length, but even then she still had taken a substantial amount of my shaft inside her tight, formerly virginal cunt.
I stood paralyzed debating the pros and cons of the situation when Mai suddenly spoke.
"This…This doesn't count, so you better not talk about this" Mai threw her sternest glare at me as she stared at me.
"Not a word" I agreed quickly as her tight cunt squeezed down on me.
"Good," Mai said before taking her hands off my shoulders and letting herself sink down into my lap, taking the rest of my cock inside her and letting it rest at the entrance of her womb.
Mai let out a whimper as she accustomed herself to the feeling and then we both started doing our best to move without making too much noise, all the teasing had left me at the border of the abyss and I knew that Mai was not much better as she was still sensitive from her recent climax.
Our hips smashed together letting out slapping sounds that were buried by the sound of the party, the bulbous tip of my cock kept smashing the entrance of her womb, I pulled out briefly to Mai's disapproval but quickly sheathed myself once again as I smashed my hips forward is swift rough thrust.
Mai's legs locked around my waist as I kept pumping into her, she was barely keeping her moans in check as her face got sweaty and a lock of her hair fell onto her face, she had a very determined look on her face and as I was about to pull out again, she squeezed with all her might to get her reward.
Not one to disappoint a lady I started cumming inside her without thinking about the consequences of the act, the sudden heat and volume of my sperm hitting her insides triggered another climax for Mai who decided to kiss me as she came.
We spent a few seconds like that before reality came crashing back against us, Mai leaped from my lap and looked away from me I devoured the sight of my cum running down her leg as she fixed her dress and hair, and then she left without another word.
She was probably too embarrassed to face me and I relished in my ability to break her cold demeanor, a few moments later I had my pants back on and any sign of our coupling was quickly burned away with a wave of my hand. Fire does fix everything.
The face of Iroh emerged from the corner and a relieved sigh left him as he saw me "There you are Zuko, it's about time to begin."
I didn't want to give Ozai the pleasure of disqualifying me for being late and then spreading rumors about cowardice, so I quickly followed my uncle back to the party.
I tried looking for Mai among the crowd but failed to find her and I refrained from using my enhanced senses as I feared the overload of information could cause some problems.
We moved to another room that had a pit built into the floor it was almost the size of an Olympic pool and had seats built around it with a grand throne in one of the walls closest to the center.
Ozai is already there basking in the awe of the people at the arena he has inside his home and then he starts talking "Friends, guests, and warriors it is my pleasure to announce that the fighting will begin soon!"
There is a cheer at his proclamation these people enjoy a bit of bloodsport and it shows, Ozai then continues his speech "From all the corners of the Fire Nation, from across the earth and sea the best of firebenders in the world are present here today to help us celebrate!"
"We will have first an all-out war, a free for all where one-hundred benders will enter and only twenty-four will come out, it will be done in two batches of fifty. Make sure this night becomes a memorable one!"
The nobles must have been terribly bored if the cheers they continued to shout out was anything to go by, then again, there wasn't much to do here, hell they were so bored that the actors that presented that terrible play were very famous. The first order of business after rooting out the corruption and traitors was going to be introducing some sports and games to make sure they don't go crazy.
"And as a special guest, for the first time in years, Prince Zuko will be entering the competition"
A deafening silence follows that declaration before it breaks when someone in the crowd starts clapping and everyone else follows suit, I walk through the crowd and stand at the border of the pit waiting for further instructions.
"Then with everyone ready let's begin!"
Author note: it's me again, many of you probably have noticed that i don't get involved in the chat and the reason for that is because it gets me anxious, which is stupid but my brain disagrees, i know lots of people don't even say anything bad and that there are mods who look out for anything bad but for some reason i still get super distressed by people commenting on my stories and i'm not asking you to stop, i just want to be clear that the lack of interaction on my part is not because of disinterest or anythign like that.
Now onto the story, i noticed that and most of you have also noticed that, things feel a bit contradictory sometimes, but that is because the SI is biased and because i'm a fuck up of a writer and the way i write seriously messes the story up when i'm not planning it properly as is the case for this one, while i know what to write as in point A and point B how to get there in a semi-realistic way is the problem, my mind also plays with different ideas and sometimes (many times) i forget details. so i apologize for that.
on abrighter note, for anyone interested the first chapter of my ASOIAF x Berserk is already up, only for the higgest tier though, once i've finished the other chapters i will be sure to let you know...somehow, but hopefully the first chapter is going up this month.

JeskThe one who is always lurking
New
Zuko
It shouldn't surprise me that Ozai orders me to be in the first batch of people to fight, he wants me out of his sight as soon as possible and I do not doubt that some of the benders here have orders to either cripple or kill me...perhaps i'm just being paranoid.
As I enter the pit I feel the eyes of the others upon me some look at me with scornful eyes, others with disinterest, and a very small group of them look at me with genuine anger. Soon enough battle lines start to be drawn with many teaming up to survive until the end.
It isn't exactly illegal as Ozai didn't say anything about rules, but I doubt anyone of them would wish to team up with me. This is a bending competition and no matter what I do i'm sure Ozai will try to use this opportunity to discredit me if I win, it will be solely because the others cannot harm me with fire and if I lose then I prove my incompetence, if I win using my bending then it would seem like I had an unfair advantage but if I don't use it Ozai could disqualify me for not adhering to what the competition is.
My back is literally and metaphorically against the wall…what would General Zod do in this situation…probably kill every one here and that isn't an option at all. Maybe i shouldn't take notes on what to do from a maniac like him, what would Iroh do in this situation, the face of my uncle raising a cup of tea in my mind doesn't help either.
"Begin!" Ozai screams out to the cheering public and soon I'm forced to think on my feet as streams of fire come at me, blocking was useless as the fire would do nothing against me but perhaps it was time for a show.
Raising a wall of fire to shield me from the incoming attacks is the first part of my plan, the second is using the fire in the air to retaliate and the third is launching myself to the center of the arena.
My sudden arrival at the forefront of the battle is heralded by as much fire as I can command, becoming a walking ball of fire is easy enough when you don't have to worry about burning yourself to death. The shockwave I make as I crash into the ground sends some of the competitors into the waiting hands of the more cautious ones where they soon are forced to submit and make to climb out of the pit in shame.
There are ohs and awes coming from the stands at the show of force, some of them probably disappointed as I have no doubt there was some betting going on behind the scenes to make this more interesting to the richest among them, rich people loved spending their money and right now most of the richest people in the Fire Nation were here.
"If you value the way you look I recommend you surrender now, for your sakes of course" I didn't expect anyone to take what I said seriously but it had the intended effect of making them angry, the control they had over their fire was very reduced in such a state of mind and with a bit of power of my own I start siphoning the heat from my surroundings.
Their eyes widen as the flames in their hands refuse to grow and some even disappear completely and to that, I could only say one thing "I heard that older men have trouble with getting things started, I guess it's true"
"You disrespect-" the man that was talking was unable to finish his sentence as someone behind him used the opportunity to kick him with a fire-empowered kick to the balls, the men around collectively flinch at the action and I have to admit to flinching too.
Then the attacker realizes his mistake when he's suddenly ganged upon by those around him, leaving him a wreck on the floor unable to continue, the poor idiot now has to drag his body into a safe place in the middle of the fighting, there was a silver lining to the whole thing though.
The sudden attack has revealed to me the way to a victory that not even Ozai could contest, as long as I used firebending to propel myself as I fight with my fists then I'm technically using firebending and if I don't get hit then he can't accuse me of overly using my 'blessing' to win and if at the end I let someone hit me with fire to show the court proof of mmy 'blessing' then all the better for me.
Flames burst on my talons propelling me forward into a group that is trying to work together, the four-man team is blindsided by my arrival, with a quick move I drop to the ground and kick their legs in a revolving motion, and as they fall I propel myself upwards with twin pillars of fire coming from my hands.
Once I'm upright I only need to put my feet on their throats to get them to surrender and once more I'm off to another part of the field as staying in a single place was an invitation to get surrounded.
Sadly for me after dispatching another group of four the rest of the participants realized that I have yet to take a single solid hit and very few of them can move with the kind of speed I have since it's rather tiring for a firebender to use propulsion constantly not that I have that problem since Zuko never had stamina problems and the added boost from my constant training and the sunbaths have helped me increase the amount of chi I have at my disposal.
The remaining twenty men seemed determined to make sure that I'm not one of the twelve left standing at the end and if the cheers coming from the top are any indication the people are enjoying this too much, I'm still their prince dammit!
"End of the line prince Zuko, I would say there is no shame in defeat but we both know that's not true. If you don't want to get hurt, I suggest you surrender"
I can't help but laugh at the words and it's not a quiet laugh, it's deep and booming coming from the gut and it quickly pierces the sounds of the people above us and in their curiosity, they quiet down to hear what I have to say, the sudden quit fills the air with something I can't quite describe but I'm sure the scene will be very memorable.
"You just saw me demolish at least ten benders by my lonesome while running around the field throwing out fire like it was going out of style and now, you're asking me to surrender, you should quit the army and become an entertainer"
The laughs coming from above come back with force, some people deliberately pointing at the poor man's direction as they laugh, and the men that were behind him in a supporting position slowly started getting some distance for fear of being related to the man in any way, optics were important too and right now the man was a joke and the only way for him to get some semblance of respect back into his person was to defeat me.
With a battle cry he starts throwing out punches with fire at the end, some kicks too but in the end, such basic moves are barely worth dodging and I just end up overpowering them as I advance on the man, in truth the guy wasn't a bad fighter or firebender but there was an invisible ceiling that separated good benders from legendary ones, some passed over it with skill others with sheer power and sometimes people were lucky enough to just get a good teacher. I had the three categories filled and it showed in the quality of my moves, the power of my fire, and the advantages I had from being chosen by the company.
I strode through his last desperate attempt at stopping me with nary a glance at my surroundings and once my face was close to his I just headbutted him leaving him unconscious, I had enough grave to grab him and throw him at one of the walls so they could pick him up without danger. Turning back the rest of the fighters had decided that fighting me was the same as choosing to surrender and now were fighting amongst themselves, so I just watched until there were only twelve of us left.
Ozai looks as if he swallowed a lemon but ever the showman, he changes his attitude and stands up with his hands raised signaling the spectators to be quiet, there was no way for him to spin this negatively, and perhaps for the first time since I got here, I wanted to hear what he had to say.
"I'm glad to announce the first round is over!" cheers quickly break the silence but just as fast as they came they disappear letting Ozai continue "We will have a brief intermission before the next round of fighting starts and I hope that just like the men down there they don't disappoint us"
"There is no doubt that the best of the group was prince Zuko but I'm sure that it was not surprising that someone of my blood would excel and more than that you my friends have seen the way he shrugs fire confirming the rumors you've all heard. My son has been blessed by the sun and on this night, I revoke prince Zuko's exile" a wave of applause starts, and the people quickly show their fickle nature as they start cheering for me and Ozai at the same time, politics are a dirty business no matter the universe you're in.
"Regardless of this, he confided in me before the fighting started that he had been given a mission and he would not rest easy until he accomplished but where before he would be alone, now we will accompany him in spirit, and his hunt continues with my full support"
The cheering continues growing ever louder but I have to bite my tongue to keep myself from screaming, the old bastard has blindsided me with this announcement and while it will help me gather new allies it still forces me to be out of the main action. It also paints me as the aggressor if I take any actions against my father and what an image it would give.
Ungrateful sons are not well viewed by any society, Ozai may be forcing peace on the surface, but I would bet my left arm that he's planning my death even as he looks upon me from above.
Iroh's gaze finds my own but he shakes his head as I move to speak and I comply, he knows better than me what could happen, and even if this complicates our plans it also moves them further along, now I have proper cause to get a squad of ships of my own and while it would be great to change into a bigger ship the upgrades it has are far too useful as it's the ability to enter places where a bigger ship couldn't.
Fuck! i thought he was too prideful to do something like this
"Let's continue the celebration!" the people go back to the party and slowly abandon the fighting pit, some remain as they observe the winners and I give a nod of respect to each one of the men that managed to get into the next round and then leave.
I wasn't tired, but it was better if I had a little rest before something else happened.
Author note: so my sleep deprived brain thought that i had posted this yesterday as i usually do but it seems like i didn't...that's on me. anyway here it is and i hope you have a great day
