Susan felt so good and happy to have people surrounding her showering her with so much live and care. Her mother in are has been a great mother to her taken care if her while Jerry take care of things at work and always find time to be with her.
All the maids too are all wonderful to her which made her to feel more at home though she misses her mother and father , the love she receive now is still enough for her. ' What else can I ask for?' She mutter to her self.
Jerry came out of the bathroom in his bathrobe , he has a final meeting with the investors today. " Baby, can you please wait for me to dress up? I will be fast and I won't delay you. " Jerry hand that is holding the bathrobe froze when he heard that.
He insist she still take some days to rest though the doctor said she is recovery well and the bandage on her head has been removed but that does not mean he will allow her to pass through any stress again.
" You are not going anywhere lady! and that is final.". Susan looked at him with a pout when she heard that, if he want to meet with the investors it is very important she is there with them since she was the one that handled the project from the beginning, more so she want to clear all the rumors flying about about her.
" Jerry don't be like this! Please let me. Am bored and tired staying indoor like this . Remember the doctor said am OK and my wounds are healing fine. Please let me just go I promise I won't do anything just to follow you inside and stay by your side after the meeting I will sleep in your office. I promise I will not do anything naught.
" Susan ramble on, on what she will do and don't which make Jerry defence crack . He burst into laughter hearing her ramble. " So...y..you know you are naught? " He said in between his laughter. "OK! You have said so yourself if you do otherwise, I will have to lock you up in this room for three weeks without stepping out of the door. "
" Are you threatening me with that? And who says am naughty? "
" Don't know. " He said with a teasing smile.
The investors are ready in the meeting room with the board members of of TS corporations. The investors are going through the newly submitted proposal by Bright corporations while they are waiting for the final signing of the project they actually take time to inspect their other investment in the country.
Today will be the final day they are going to sign the project to one of the company or more so collaboration between the companies. The meeting room was pushed open from outside, Assistant Matt and Jerry came inside and went to their respective seat. Sophia looked at Jerry and their gaze locked , she gave him a smirking smile but Jerry pretend to see nothing.
The board of directors are fidgeting on their seat with the deadly aura coming from Jerry . Jerry's eyes are ice cold when he looked at Sophia who was given him a triumphant smile. He did not say anything but focus on the Mr Robin one of the investors that are speaking.
Truth be told he did not understand why they actually insist on seeing Susan before signing the project, he did not even care if he collaborate with them or not. Not that this is the only government project he is going to do or will he go around begging the investors since his company can stand on his own.
" Now that TS corporations can not meet our demand of providing the secretary and other documents with her with this.....he made a deliberate pause to look at everyone expression.
As expected the board of directors of TS corporations look pale while the Bright's corporations have a smile on their faces including Sophia only Jerry's face remain expressionless. "for this reason we are considering the proposal of Bright investment...."Their was a complete silent in the room. " Maybe next time we might consider collaborating with TS corporations , Mr Jerry am sorry but we can not proceed with you."
Jerry said nothing he just continue to stare at the door as if waiting for someone. Sophia was already on cloud nine on hearing that her company will have the opportunity.
She looked at Jerry's expressionless profile, a cold ran down her spine when he met her gaze. She wink at him and focus on the person talking, although she look calm her mind is opposite , she is afraid of what might happens if her secret is out but she just thank her star that she was not seeing on that day.
" So for this reason, we are going o invest in Bright investment ....." Sophia and her subordinate can not contain their excitement they are jubilating and clapping their hands, after their excitement Mr Robin continue " We will sign the necessary document now and I hope you will not disappoint us."
Sophia nod with bright smile" of course we won't . We will not let our personal affair comes before business...Bright investment won't let you down.she said meaningfully stealing glances at Jerry but the latter just smile at her.
She frown at his smile, she wonder why he will smile now that she is going to snatch the project from him when he did not show any expression since. She wonder what really happened to him. ' I don't even need to think about that since I know what happened to his girlfriend .' She said in her head.
