Chapter 28 - The Celia Porter Incedent

I flew over the cafeteria, making it barely on time. In front of the entrance Har was waiting for me. "Hey Lydia," she said hugging me. "Hey, did you start classes today," I asked. She nodded and we walked into the cafeteria. We walked to the counter and I grabbed a burger and iced peach tea. Har grabbed a burrito and water. We found a seat and started to eat. "So how've you been?" she questioned. "It's been nice, I've met a lot of nice people" I answered. "that's good, do you know your schedule with your apprenticeship?" she asked, with a curious expression. "Not yet, I'm going to the royal palace tomorrow to go over that with Master Pacillo." I told her, taking a sip of my tea. "That's good," she responded. We continued to eat and chat about random stuff. "Have you talked to Mr. Tricket about your debut yet?" She brought up. "No, I haven't heard anything from him or mother," I replied. "Tell me when they do, i'll discuss it with you." she insisted. But I declined right away, "no it's fine, I can handle it myself." I said firmly. She looked at me, skeptical, but in the end nodded.

Once we finished eating, we both went outside. In the shared courtyard there was commotion taking place. Har and I looked at each other in understanding and started to run towards the crowd forming. I saw Rachel and pulled Har towards her. "Rachel what's happening?" I called out grabbing her attention. She turned over to me and beckons us over. "Some first and second years from the knight department were making fun of a female first year knight. Then she stood up for herself and they pushed her to the ground" Rachel informed us. Har turned to me and tugged my arm, "take us there, I'll take care of the boys. You help the girl." Har whispered to me. Nodding I took her hand and flew over the crowd and landed in between the girl and the boys. "That's enough boys, bullying is not tolerated here." Har stated in a stern voice. I crouched beside the girl, "are you okay?" I asked, concerned. The girl looked up at me, she had beautiful long blonde hair and ruby eyes. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for your help." she thanked me. "No problem" I responded, helping her stand.

"You're so pathetic that you need other girls to help you." one of the boys taunted. He then turned to Har, "and you shouldn't have interrupted us" he then started to walk towards her. The look in his eyes power crazed. He started to raise his hand, and that's when I had enough. I froze his feet to the ground, which caused him to gasp in surprise. "Raise your hand against my sister again and I'll do much more than just freeze you to the ground" I warned. His eyes widened, "how dare you threaten and use mana against me, I'm the son of-" "I don't care who your father is. That doesn't matter at the pentagon of academies." Har sneered. He gasped and raised his hand, but I froze more of his legs, stopping his hand from raising. Har continued, "I would suggest you just come with me quietly and receive your punishment before you cause anymore trouble" "what's going on" I heard a male voice ask. Looking to my side I saw Hunter walking over. Taking this as my que to leave I turned back to the female knight first year. "Here I'll take you to a friend to treat your wounds." I said offering my hand. "No, nothing serious-" "I think it would still be best to at least look at the wounds" I insisted a little more firmly this time. "She nodded and grabbed my hand. I started to fly over the crowd again and brought her to my dorm room. She walked in after me and I told her to sit at the couch. Once she was seated I knocked on Liyah's door who opened it. "Hey I need your help," I then stepped to the side showing her the girl.

I grabbed a glass of water from the kitchen and handed it to the girl, while Liyah was busy attending to her wounds. "I forgot to introduce myself back there, My name is Lydia Raven" I told the girl, "and this is Aliyah Crafter." Liyah looked at the girl and smiled. "My name is Celia Porter, thank you for your help" she responded, smiling. Her voice was sweet but also strong. Smiling, I assured her that it was fine. I went into my room and hung up my cloak before coming back to the living room and sitting down across from her. Once Aliyah finished she had to hurry out for her tour, which left me and Celia alone. "Are you alright?" I asked again. "Yeah I'm fine thanks to you and your sister. Sorry to trouble you both" she apologized again. "No problem, we can't just stand around and watch you be unfairly treated," I responded. "Well then it would be best if I leave, to not bother you anymore." she said standing up. "Wait, are you sure you'll be fine?" I asked, concerned. Celia glanced at me and raised her head, "I can take care of myself" her tone wasn't threatening but it still had an edge that made me flinch. "I know you can, Celia. You were one of the top ranked in the knight department. But if they have numbers on you, it doesn't matter your skill. And I rather not see you get in trouble for fighting." I challenged myself to stand up as well. Celia's mouth widened, but she didn't give in. sighing I suggested, "at least let me give you my number." She turned to me and saw that I wouldn't give in either. Celia nodded in defeat and handed me her phone. Beaming in victory I grabbed her phone and typed my number and saved it as a contact. "Call me if anything happens," I insisted, handing her her phone back. "Yep I will, I'll be on my way" Celia said Waving as she walked back.

The next day I woke up at 5 to prepare to go to the royal palace and meet up with Master Pacillo. She told me that I just needed to be presentable, but pants and a nice blouse should be fine. After doing my normal routine I put on black pants and a silver blouse that had a v neck and a tie around the neck. I grabbed my black cloak and a bag with my phone, wallet, ID, and journal. It also had the Raven emblem on a keychain. I pulled by hair into a high ponytail and walked into the kitchen. I only had 5 minutes before I had to head out so I grabbed an apple and walked out of the dorm. Taking out my phone I shot a text to Har and Liyah telling them I was going to my apprenticeship. I walked out of the dorm building, chomping on the sweet apple. I arrived at the front gates of the academy at 6 and waited for my ride to the royal palace. A few moments later, a car stopped in front of me with the infamous panther painted on. The driver walked out and opened the door.

" Please get in Miss raven, Archmage Pacilllo has sent me to take you to the palace," he insisted. "Thank you" I nodded to the driver and walked in and took my seat. I relaxed into the black leather seats as the car pulled out of the school. I looked out the window and admired the view as we went to the palace. After 30 minutes the view changed to a city, it was the capital city Atharen. As we got farther in the amount a building started to decrease until a gate appeared beyond the gate was a vast garden and a gigantic palace. My jaw dropped as I observed the silver, gold, and blue palace. The car stopped and the driver opened the door for me. I climbed up still amazed with my surroundings, then the gates opened and the driver called out, "Miss Raven, just follow the path straight to the palace. Master Pacillo will be there. He instructed pointing at the path. I nodded and thanked him again before I pulled my bag higher on my shoulder and grabbed and started to walk forward.

The walk to the palace was beautiful, the flowers mesmerized me and the fountains were sparkling. I finally arrived at the front where Master Pacillo was waiting for me. "It's good to see you again Lydia, " she greeted in a warm voice. Beaming I quickened my pace, "I'm also happy to see you, Master Pacillo" feeling eyes on me. I looked over Master's head to an open walkway to see a cloaked figure exited the walkway. "We should go," the Master suggested, I looked back at her and nodded. We started to make our way into the palace.
