5 minutes passed and group 6 was finally called, I looked up and saw professor Banyan walking towards a platform. I started walking already and saw her go to the 3rd floor with 4 other people on the platform with her. I used my levitation to follow knowing that the platforms would be to slow. I landed besides the group and started folllowing the Professor through the twisting halls of the academy. It took aproximately 3 minutes to get to our location once in front of it the professor stopped. Once we stopped Professor told us that the examination isn't prepared yet so we had to wait another few mintues. I looked around and saw that there were 2 boys and 2 girls there with me, it seems that one person didn't make it.
"Hey do I know you" one of the boys in my group asked me. "no I don-" "Cause you look like my next girlfriend." his statement caught me so off guard I couldn't even reject him. Taking my scilence and suprised face as a good sign he then said " how was heavan when you left it." instead of wasting my breath I decide just gave him a glare and ignored him. Hopefully that shuts him-. "there must be something wrong with my eyes, I can't take them off of you." he stated in a humorous voice taking a step closer to me. You know you're not my type, right? This guy doesn't know when to take a hint. I took a deep breath and kept my cool, conteniuing to show him that I'm not interested. "would you grab my arm so I could tell my friends that I was touched by an angel" he added as he took another step towards ne.
That's it. " how about I punch that pretenious face of yours, that still counts as getting touched by an angel, right?" I retorted back staring at him, not amused. " I wouldn't mind that as long as it's with your lips" he responded with a smirk. My faced morphed from annoyance to disgust. I'm only 15 calm yourself, I rather not.
"stop it Jax, you're making everyone uncomfortable" the girl next to him complained. " oh shut up Quinn" he retorted back starting an argument beween the two. "Enough!" Professor Banyan boomed shutting the them both up. " the examination will begin now, the first task is iniviusal so would anyone like to volunteer to go fisrt. "Can I?" I spoke up imediantly wanted to get it over with. The professor looked over at me for second then nodded. She open the door and motioned me to go inside.
When we stepped inside it led to a smaller room. Professor Banyan beckoned to step closer. Once I was fully in the room she started to explain the examination. "don't worry this room is sound proof so others won't hear about this indivisual test. This test will challenge how well you do on instinct. first you will be given a situation where you are given 10 miutes to explain what you would precisley do. Once the first act is finished you are the thrown into a hands on situation where you have to find a solution to the situation before the situation goes wrong. Lastly in the third act we test your power and control. In all your tests you can do anything except for enhancers." Wow and this is only the indivisual test. I took a deep breath and nodded ready for the test. Professor Banyan smiled and opend the door to the first test.
As I walked into the room the door closed behind me. "Isn't the professor supposed to acompany me" I mumbled confused. then I started to look around the room in was a cube with a white floor and gray walls with one wall being a screen. there was also a window oposite to the screen whereI Professor Banyan was watching me from. "Oh, there you are" I said in realization. "yes I'll be overseeing the test from outside to not interfere at all. The file will be shown on the screen once the files are up the timer will start. Once you have an answer just speak it out, This whole test is recorded. I recomend giving me an answer even if it's not a full one. Your answer can incopirate an enhancer and magic that you do or don't have. Be creative and think outside the box. Are you ready?" she asked me. I took another deep breath calming my heart. "Yes"
"the files wll be shown in 5, 4, 3, 2,1, go!"
I look at the screen which showed a file of how I would take care of a destructive fire mage. It then showed a picture of where the mage is. It explained that the destructive fire mage was given an enhancer neclace that he coudn't handle. the enhancer was cursed not allowing the mage to take off the nacklace. The power was too overflowing that if he was attack or threatened in anyway the power may be release and would kill everyone around him including the mage. How do you save everyone?
Think lydia, think. He's a detructive fire mage, So if we take water from the fountain. Wait no he'll see the water moving and feel threatened that won't work. What if I move all the citizens away, then no citizens would get hurt, but that would take too much time and the overflowing power would kill the mage. The overflowing power is coming from the enhancer so if I somehow destroy for contain the enhancer theoretically I could stop the power explosion. But it's cursed so we can't remove the enhancer to contain so I have to destroy it. How can I destroy it without threatning him as all. Then I remembered. A necklace enhancer are just made of glass, its special enchanted glass but its still glasss. That means at a high frequency it should shatter and if that frequency is high enough then no one can hear it.
A mage can produce such a high frequency easily, but i's never been tested before because of the damage it will cause to people's ears. If I emit this freequency even if no one can hear many civilians and the destructive mage would still be injured. I looked at the timer on the screen, 3 minutes remaining. I need to think of something fast. Wait I know!
"Okay to deal with the destructive mage I would first cast a mass spell of quietude to block out sound." this spell blocks out all sound waves from the ears of the people the spell is casted on. "Because it's a mass spell over everyone including myself the spell wuold only last about 30 seconds. right after I would emit a frequency of about 1000 Hz to break the glass imediantly taking away the power source and making the poer vanish." I finished my explaination, looking at the time and saw the last 5 seconds pass.
Then the professoer's voice spoke "good job Lydia, let's move on to the next trial"
