Okay, so college wasn't what I expected. Fine it was the opposite of my thoughts.
Growing up isolated from others, I thought that college would be a peaceful place, like a school, just, with teenagers rather than kids. I thought it would be quiet, with only a bustle during the recess breaks. As teenagers, I thought that college students were more sensible than their past selves. I Was Wrong.
At the college where I go, I'm just a simple, shy boy who isn't used to the real-world.
So, all I could do was avoid others. Anyways, I was already used to solitude (except for my pet, Fury), as I lived alone, my parents regular people working back at my hometown, abroad.
One day, as I was walking towards my locker to put away my books, I saw Him - a quite tall boy, about my age, with blond hair and deep, goldish brown eyes, by the name of Alex. I had heard that he was a master describer, and was great in sports. { Proofreaders note : I sigh, and all my books fall while I stare at him.} " Hey, you want some help?" he asks me as he gathers some of my books for me. " Th... thank you," I stammer. I closed my locker and went off to Assembly.
It was announced during Assembly, that from tomorrow starts the last week of the semester. We will be getting new time tables due to the change of activities, and absence of some teachers. I collected my schedule, on my way out, and went to class. 'Oh! so I'll be sitting next to Alex from now on...' I thought to myself. To be honest, I couldn't make up much of what was going on after that, but I felt a Thud on my leg from behind, and probably fainted.
I woke up God knows when, with Alex by my side, in the sick room. I tried to say thanks to the nurse, but Alex said I was to rest. The nurse told me how Alex stuck up for me when that wicked Rafael hit his baseball bat on me to shove me out of the way and go into class. 5 mins later, I felt fully refreshed, and Alex help me take my books. "Why are you helping me so much? No... Not that I don't appreciate it or anything. Anyways, Thanks very much." We had reached at my home, so I made him as comfortable as possible, and he told me... "You see, I really like you. You're calm, quiet, and have quite a few qualities, exept to make friends. And, I may have many followers who say they are friends, but they're more like one-sided relationships. Uhhh... do you think you could be friends with me?"...
And it was since then that I found my self a true friend, and we started to hang out together when we could. We shared many things in common, such as a love for volleyball and basketball, and an addictation - towards each other.
