Chereads / Blood: Fallen World / Chapter 9 - STUNNING THE CROWD

Chapter 9 - STUNNING THE CROWD

The moment the announcer called out my name, I felt like the whole world froze and I wanted nothing more than to find a place to bury my head in but I knew that I could not avoid this so I picked up all the courage I could muster as I walked out the waiting area.

The whole dome was quiet as I walked out as if time had frozen before erupting with laughter since I appeared average but I held my head up high as I walked to the arena ready to take action the moment the fight started.

The other contenders could not help but also laugh as they watched me get on stage and the whole thing was just as I expected and I simply flexed my muscles a bit as I watched them all and it was clear that none of them took me seriously after seeing me in person.

"I'm going to be very honest, I expected someone very amazing and intimidating when I saw the name Blood Beast but I am completely disappointed after seeing who Blood Beast really is, let's hope he can survive this encounter against his foes without losing too much blood" said the male announcer as he laughed.

The whole arena went back to its usual state as we all stared at each other standing on the edge of the stage, the rules were simple don't get thrown off the stage, if you get seriously injured you're out and most importantly try not to lose any valuable body parts.

The buzzer buzzed as everyone got into action, running across the stage as they each sought out an opponent to eliminate.

I on the other hand did not even bother with that and slowly made my way forward while the others rushed, in a few seconds almost everyone had already picked out a target which they felt they had a good chance of eliminating.

I was quickly surrounded by five guys who clearly wanted me out of the run for any spot since I would be the easiest person to eliminate while wasting almost no energy and how wrong they were.

"Looks like Blood Beast has been surrounded and it looks like he will be exiting the gauntlet faster than anyone ever has" said the female announcer with a light laugh.

"Ah that's so sad, I was expecting more from the Blood beast but it was his mistake for choosing such an arrogant Alias" the male announcer said.

I looked at all of them around me as I began to evaluate their strength and I was not even worried one-bit despite being surrounded on all sides and I even had a slight smile on my lips as I watched them curious to know how I fared against other hunters.

"sorry kid but you have to go now" said one of the contenders who had surrounded me.

"There's no need to apologize, he should already know that he was going to lose the moment he stepped into the dome" said another.

"Hahaha, you guys are funny, you should be more worried about yourselves instead of me" I said laughing as I took a single step forward.

They all looked at me for a moment before they all laughed.

"Kid you don't know how to appreciate kindness!" said the third guy as he rushed up towards me with his sword in his hand as he closed the distance between us in a flash.

His movement was quite fast but it appeared to be slow to me almost as if he purposely slowed down for me.

I simply side stepped as I evaded his attack with an open palm I jumped right over his head as I smacked him right in the back of head as I knocked him out simply as I landed back on the floor and executed a round house kick leaving him sprawled on the floor.

"Did you all see that!?" the male announcer roared, "Blood beast just beautifully knocked out his opponent before ruthlessly finishing off his opponent with a round house kick" he said as a replay was shown across all the screens in the arena and all stations broadcasting the gauntlet.

"It seems that the Blood Beast is not a harmless sheep but a fierce wolf in sheep's clothing" said the Female announcer as her eyes twinkled while watching the match,

"Can we expect more from him or was this simply a lucky strike? That's something we will know in a little while" she said expertly making the crowd pay more attention to my fight.

As for the other contenders who had surrounded me, their expressions had changed but it was clear that they all thought that it was a lucky strike and that I was only able to do that because the first guy had underestimated me.

They all looked at each other for a moment as if trying to reach an understanding, as for me, I was very surprised because it was as if everything that happened was not even something that even required any thinking at all, just basic instinct and yet I was able to take him down in a single hit and add a ruthless kick to top it off.

After seeming to reach agreement they all charged towards me madly.

"It seems like we will not be able to see much of the Blood Beast anymore, all contenders are now moving in to take him out together" said the male announcer as he watched them all charge towards me.

"It truly does seem to be a shame because I was expecting much from the Blood Beast I just hope he would be able to prove that he deserves the name Blood Beast and I can't help but wish he could perform a miracle" the female announcer said.

The whole dome was steadily building up with more insane intent as they focused on my match.

I simply smiled because everything right now was exactly like it was earlier.

Time was slow and I simply walked right through their midst as I struck each of them behind their heads knocking them out cleanly.

It was just insane, I felt like I was in charge of their life and death and if I wished them to die then it would be so.

I was in control of everything despite the fact that they made their moves first.

This fact alone put me on an entire level above them and my reaction speed had risen to frightening degree that I could not even be bothered by them at all.

"What just happened!" the male announcer screamed as he witnessed everything that just happened.

"Blood Beast just simply walked right through their midst, yet all of the contenders who charged at him fell limply to the floor" he yelled.

"Let's see what happened in a slowed down footage" said the female announcer who had a similarly confused expression on her face.

A slowed down footage of what happened was displayed across every screen in the arena stunning the entire crowd.

"This is just insane!" said the male announcer who was shivering with excitement as he watched the slowed down footage,

"This is nothing but art, they never stood a chance from the beginning" he said.

"Looks like we've found our first dark horse in the D rank category" said the female announcer with an excited and stunned gaze as she watched the footage played once more.

"Who would have expected that the seemingly average looking contender Blood Beast would turn out to be a true beast in every sense, a beast capable of sweeping through his opponents in a single move?" asked the male announcer.

"Definitely not me" replied the female announcer with a light shake of her head,

"I seriously underestimated the Blood Beast when I first saw him step out but now I am completely taken by his beautiful and effortless technique" she said.

"It makes one wonder what is hidden behind that mask" said the male announcer laughing.

I turned back to look at the other contenders who were busy fighting and had still been able to pay attention to my fight after hearing the announcer and what the announcer said made them all very wary of me, after all I had simply taken out five contenders in an instant and there was no saying I could not do that once more.

I knew that I would not have the chance to further test out my strength once more and I had no choice but to stand there and wait for the fight to come to an end.

In a short while the ten of us moving to the next stage of the fight had already been decided and we walked off the stage and had our numbers taken down as we returned to the waiting area.

The whole dome screamed my name as we returned to the waiting area and everyone in the waiting area who had watched the fight from screens had unconsciously and instinctively taken a step back when I entered.

It was clear that they all took me very seriously now and did not dare to underestimate me despite the fact that I had vary average looking body.
