Somewhere in the middle of an abandoned city.
Screaming!!!
A young man was busy on a killing spree against zombies as he wielded his two long katanas in his hands, despite being outnumbered he did not falter.
Tossing one of his blades into the air as he held the other blade with both hands as he said
"Vanishing Cleave"
He made a swinging gesture with the sword in his hands but the only thing was that the blade in his hands had vanished.
As he caught his falling blade the heads of the zombies around him fell to the floor as their headless bodies dropped to the floor.
"Not bad" he said as he sheathed both katana's in an 'X' on his back, before picking up their heads and tossing it into a bag.
Despite the fact that he has been doing this for over three years he still could not shake the feeling of staring down the barrel of a gun.
The young man in question was Ray NorthStar, at the age of fifteen the he lost all his immediate family members to a zombie horde during the night, he was the only person who was able to escape death at the hands of the zombies.
It has been four years since then, the apocalypse happened over a hundred years ago and mankind as always still found a way to survive though they were now trapped behind high walls which surround the few cities still standing.

The creation of the Hunter's Association is what helped man survive such a trying time. The Hunter's Association as it name suggest deals with hunting down zombies, while making the exterior part of the cities safer for people but the world didn't only survive because of the Hunter's association, it survived with help from two other associations.
The Traders Guild and the Mercenary Guild, these were the associations which supported the Hunter's Association.
The Traders Guild specialized in collecting and trading information, it's missions were like searching for herbs, materials and other things for trading. The Mercenary Guild specialized in taking missions from the public from guarding a place to being escorts for people.
With the help of all three organizations humanity was able to survive as we slowly fought back against the zombies.

"You're finally back Mr. NorthStar" said Victor who worked at the counter of the Hunter's Association located at the heart of City X.
"Yes, I am" replied Ray as he submitted the bunch of heads as proof for him to receive his pay for the mission he undertook.
"It's a good thing you survived, it would be hard to find a replacement for you since there's no one who's as talented as you in running away" he said grabbing the bag full of heads before paying him.
"Thanks for the compliment Vic" said Ray before turning to leave.
"Wait, I have got some news for you" said Victor.
"Really?" asked Ray.
"Yeah, according to my source, they found tracks of a gargantuan about Fifty Kilometers out of the city so you should be careful when you're out of the city" he said.
"So, what did the hunter's association say they would do about it" asked Ray.
"They should be sending out a team soon" he said.
"that's good" I simply replied.
"Make sure to be careful out there" said Victor with a hint of worry in his voice.
When Ray first arrived at the city after surviving the bloody massacre of his family and friends, he met Victor who helped him survive that year before he began to find small jobs in the city, from working in a restaurant to joining the Traders Guild in hopes of making more money before he finally joined the Hunter's Association.
"I can finally rest" said Ray out loud as he opened the door to his small room which only had a bed and a bathroom.
Taking a deep breath, he finally let go of all his worries as he walked inside, despite the room being small to him it was practically everything he worked for so he treasured it. He had to take numerous jobs from the Hunter's Association to be able to pay the rent for this place. After the apocalypse not only did it not become safer over time, it became more dangerous over time.
"I better take my bath before going to bed" said Ray as he stripped naked before heading to the bathroom.
His back was covered in scars from fights and close shaves whenever he encountered a zombie during missions, although he only took on the lowest grade zombies, it did not mean it was easy to survive an attack from them.
Taking his bath, the blood which stained his body after soaking through his clothes from his battle earlier today was washed way, the cold water made every part of his being slowly feel rejuvenated, waking him up. After the shower he came out of the bathroom with his towel tied around his waist and his wet air stuck to his skin.
He took his time drying his hair before going to bed all alone while staring at the ceiling before he fell asleep.

Human genes slowly started to mutate over time as stronger people were born, they could move faster or hear better some of them even hard an incredible amount of strength. When we thought humanity finally had a fighting chance we also discovered that even the zombies had started to mutate as well, they became smarter.
Among humans there was a division between normal humans and mutated humans, normal humans could be born with mutated genes which may improve them physically in any aspect but mutated humans were humans who despite being born mutated also undergo another mutation which makes them almost invisible to other humans, humans possessing such a power are said to have entered the 'Blood State'.
