As the foreign bloody energy invading Arch's body kept destroying and reconstruting the blood cells, veins and bones.
If one could see Archie's body, all the pores in his body kept sprouting out black blood like water flying in small drops or a jet of vapor or finely divided liquid.
The uneven ash colour looking rocky floor was quickly getting covered painted by the black blood.
Some of which also touched the waters of the river, dying it into reddish brown causing several fishes and strange looking aquatic animals float up the surface of the river with their stomachs facing upwards. They are Dead.
The smell stank as if could knock a fully grown man out cold.
Meanwhile the space the blood energy was filling in his body was rapidly reaching its limits, seeing as there was not much space left in his body, it suddenly changed its direction heading straight for Arch's head!
It swiftly destroyed his tympanic membrane in his ear which after reconstruting it according to its own. It didn't stop there though, it continued toward his the vertebrate olfactory organ, basically his nose, while also destroying and constructing it.
It destroyed his sense of smell, hearing, and taste blood spilling out of his mouth, nose, ears and eyes. While at the same time constructing them according to its will.
As Arch's sensory organs were almost overloaded with energy, reaching their limits, the blood energy changed its direction heading upwards, it was about to enter into Arch's brain!!
Which is the most delicate part of the human body, once touched, the damage might be irreversible. If the blood energy was allowed to do as it pleases and make some changes in his brain according to its own, turning into a beast would be the least of his problems. He might just turn into an idiot and that's the best case scenario.
The energy was about to rush into his brain when it suddenly bumped into a barrier.
Arch was still feeling screaming from pain, he suddenly felt his head turn numb.
His screams stopped abruptly, the surroundings immediately turned quite, only the swooshing of the river was present. His body flopped down towards the stained rocky floor like a dead fish.
Boom!
The energy bumped into the barrier with force. It sounded like an explosion to David. His body jerked upwards in that moment.
Boom!
The energy bumped into the barrier the second time. His body jerking upwards one more time.
Boom!
Crack!
Bumping into the barrier the third time, the barrier cracked showing a couple of fine thin lines of cracks on it but nevertheless, it didn't break yet.
At the moment the barrier cracked, Arch's body began shaking like he was having an epileptic seizure. Soon after, he lost consciousness straight away.
Seeing as there was no place to go, the bloody energy once again left his already energy saturated body for the spot the purplish substance was resting in giving arch the opportunity to rest.
Arch's eyes instantly glazed over, his body turning limp. He fainted once again.
Feeling the threat emanating from the blood energy, the devouring purplish substance swiftly slowed down its devouring force to an acceptable level effectively containing the energy from the bloody fragment.
Since it could control the amount of bloody energy it could absorb, the purplish substance reduced the force reflexively as it could instinctively conceive the outcome of absorbing too much energy.
Meaning, since it would explode from overeating, Which it instinctively wanted to avoid.
Regulating it's devouring force to an acceptable level, the blood energy could only oblige. Since it's only function was just to provide energy whichever it could.
For instance, the suction force from the purplish substance was like a tube with a wide passage sucking off energy, but once it sensed the threat, the tube reduced to one with a narrow passageway.
Arch woke up, feeling disoriented for a while. He suddenly felt pain which quickly reminded him of his situation.
He had thought he would not make it, but now he is still alive, it made him a little happy and also a little sad.
Happy that he was still alive regardless of the pain and also sad because he assumed he was in for another round of excruciating pain.
Which came swooping in at full throttle.
'As expected' Arch thought but he was pleasantly surprised.
Although he felt pain in every part of his body as if countless ants are gnawing on his body, bones and organ but it was oddly tolerable. Not even half as painful as it was the previous time.
Whilst he was ignorant of the reason why the pain was a lot less, he doesn't even wish to know. The pain was traumatic which made him desperately wish to forget those times.
Although, he was still in pain due to the bloody energy still reconstructing his body but this time, it seems the energy emancipating from the blood fragment slowed down considerably. Although It was as chaotic and violent as before.
Opening his eyes, myriad of colours assaulted his eyes in an instant, blinding him for a few moments. Colours he hadn't even seen or heard of ever in his life bedazzled him. He hadn't even began to address the situation when, he was once more assaulted by an extremely foul stench threatening to knock him out. His head felt faint. He suddenly realised that there was a sought of explosion going off in his head. The cause of the explosion was the waves caused by the river almost a mile away.
Although, it caught him off guard, he was pleasantly surprised that his sensory organs were enhanced by the blood energy.
He hated it more than anything in the world. But it was also what changed his life.
Propping himself up with his hands, he stood up shakily with his legs. Feeling both thirst and hunger, he moved his shaky legs forward wanting to take a step forward but...
