R,"How is it possible! You're just throwing the problems I dont want to face."
Silence fell in the room. He turned around to his desk. opened a box. It was covered in dust. He then took out a small object. He handed it to me so that I could see it clear.
R,"A clock.....? It's broken."
Ft,"When you finish the task, The clock will fix on it's own and you can travel there. I've been protecting it since my family handed it to me. It's finally time to use it."
R,"You know I cant do this. This is impossible. Im nowhere near fighting with Carson. He's too strong in his power."
Ft,"Then You're a crown prince for nothing. Your Father was too hopeful for you. He kept telling me that you'll bring back Rowans. Who knew the Rowan prince was a coward."
I clenched my fist in anger. But the truth hits too quickly. I really am hopeless. I need to live like a coward from now on.
R,"what...should I do?"
Ft,"Think simply. What can you do?"
R,"If I start gathering soldiers and increase power, Will it work.....Can i really take back our kingdom?"
Ft,"Everything starts with you Prince Rao.
If you complete the task of taking back The kingdom. The door will appear on it's own. "
R,"I think I know what to do."
Later that day, I visited Moral kingdom. I had to ask for help and May is the only way.
I entered the kingdom and presented myself in the hall. The king looked pale. He was worried and tired. I couldnt find the reason why. I asked for my permission to talk with May but the king refused.
King Matt, "Princess May is not in her best condition. It would be better if you dont talk with her."
R,"But...your majesty, What happened?"
KM,"Neth and Ellie death news shocked her. She locked herself till then. After losing her future husband and beloved sister-"
I heard the news before. They were found dead on a open field. It sounds quite odd to me. What exactly happened?
R,"If it's the case I want to ask more deeply for my permission. I bet none of her friends visited her until now. We know each other since our childhood. Your majesty Please let me visit her."
The king looked more disturbed but he wanted me to leave from his sight. At last He gave me the permission. Few maids leads me to her room.
Everything was dark all around. I could hear crying from a corner.
R,"...May...?"
I walked to the corner and saw her crumblung herself in white cloths. Is she still in mourning? It's been two months already.
I tried to approach her without saying anything. She still couldnt feel my presence. She was lost in her thoughts.
R,"May...?", I gently touched her hand after kneeling down infront of her.She slowly looked at me.
M,"Prince...Rao....Im sorry."
R,"What are you sorry for?"
M,"i....I...k.."
I couldnt make her speak properly. It would cause more rough situation.
I didnt know what to do. After a few seconds, I gently hugged her.
R,"It's okay....you can tell me."
M,"I ...killed them."
Her words shoked me. I parted from her at once. That's why she's so frightened. But It cant be it. I know her. She just cant kill someone.
R,"What happened? Why did you do it?"
M,"I was jealous....Nathan liked her more than me..."
Even I was aware of it. It was hard for her to accept that.
R,"You should've gave up on him."
M,"I couldnt....I wanted him too badly."
For a second I thought I can tell what she's feeling. The pain when I had to let go of her hand and she died right infront me. Now that she's gone ...I want to see her. I want to stay beside her.
R,"May...I know you. Im sure you never wanted that to happen. It was an accident so...It's not your fault."
M,"Sky kept telling me to kill Ellie....It's not her fault either. Im the one who did it."
R,"Sky told you to do it?"
M,"She said Ellie will take Neth away from me-"
R,"May, This is it. She's the one who made you do it. It's clearly not your fault. Sky killed them."
M,"....She used me...?"
Now that we both have grudge against The Sabe family, I wanted her to join me in the revenge plan.
R,"I lost my family, My best friend, Most importantly ...someone I like. I lost everything. My kingdom, my home. They took away everything from us.
It's our time to fight. I want to take my kingdom back. Will you help me?"
One week later~
I was resting in my camp. Just then May came in.
R,"How did it go?"
M,"I ran out of topic to talk.She told me about her headache getting worse."
R,"Maybe the poison's working..."
M,"Even If I poison her to death, those sufferings can never make up for What I lost."
I got chills while hearing those words. I never thought she can be so scary about revenge.
A silence fell in the room. I saw her quietly sitting beside me.
M,"That day....You told me you lost someone you like...Was she killed?"
R,"Not really....she's just too far away..."
M,"How is it Sky's fault?"
R,"She made me kill her."
M,"You killed her but she's alive...?"
R,"Cause...she was different."
M,"I hope you can have her back once we win this war."
R,"I hope so..."
M,"Tomorrow's the day.You can have Rowan kingdom back. Dont worry."
The whole day I prepared myself to face Carson and take back what's mine. Even If i never wanted those things. This fight leads me to something more meaningful.
10,000k soldiers were in train the whole week. I couldnt gather them around if it wasnt for May.
That midnight, We all gathered infront of Rowan palace. I need to attack my own place.
M,"Whenever you're ready ...King Rao."
May's word shocked me. I got out of my thoughts and turned around to the others. I gave out a speech and ordered them to fight.
Some entered the palace and fough with the sabe guards. I could tell they were'nt prepared. Some cleared out the road for me to enter.
The rooms were oddly quiet along the way. I reached main hall and saw the King's chair was empty.
Suddenly the candle went out. I heard someone walking toward me. I couldnt see anything since it was too dark.
The person spoke out and I seemed to reconize who it was .
S,"You think I wouldnt know what you were up to."
R,"So you were prepared."
S,"Pretty much.", Before he finished his sentence, He jumped toward me. I couldnt dodge him due to the darkness. I felt a deep pain in my arms.
R,"You...cant take...advantage of the darkness"
S,"This is the place where I fought with the Rowan King. And killed my own Father.
This place shall be your end too."
I tried to attack him suddenly but he noticed and fights back with his sword.
Just when I was getting used to the light, I saw him throwing another attack at me.
It was so sudden that He again cuts down my arm.
S,"Why dont you give up and Live as my hostage. Killing you wont be fun."
R,"I cant tell what's in there for you. What do you want!"
S,"At first It was just me wanting to rule the most powerful kingdom but then I realised. Ruling over someone else's life is more fun."
Next 30 seconds was just us fighting with our swords in the darkness. I had wound all around me. I felt so weak that my legs kneels down in the ground. I was almost about fall down.
C,"Gave up already?"
I knew it....I was never strong enough.
C,"It's time to end the Rowans.", He helded up his sword and points it at me.
There was no hope left. It's the end of me...
Just when he was about to land the sword on my neck, I closed my eyes tightly.
But nothing happened. I opened my eyes and saw Carson standing before me and there's a sword...stabbed through him!
He fell on the ground after a few seconds, Revealing the person who killed him.
R,"Aiden!?!?"
