I opened my eyes the lamp had vanished, daylight hit the chamber, and rays of sun penetrated there.
The middle aged man was walking with a book in his hand. The movement I made interrupted his perusal. He looked at me smilingly. I got up hurriedly and flew into his arms he opened to me.
Until this moment I had not reflected at all on what happened to me in this exigency. I found myself safe in this subterranean place, and I had no uneasiness relative to my host; however, this would have to come to an end by my departing and search for the creation stone.
"My master, I salute you".
"You have rested well, my dear". He said. "As I judge by the calm which reigns on your countenance."
He gave me the book and opening it said. "Here is the first page of initiation."
He then extended his hand to me, and I returned the book.
"You see, my dear, you don't posses any quality in preparation for this quest." He dropped the book on the table. "Only the Elysian because they are the children of wisdom."
"For you to find the creation stone, you must try and make yourself worthy to receive the light."
"But how may I absorb this light?."
"I'll tell you", answered my master. He spoke in a solemn tone; "Love, my dear, love the very good and the very grand God of the creation stone, and never become proud if he brings you in contact with the children of wisdom (Elysian) for you to associate in their company and to make you a participant in the wonders of his power."
After having finished answering me, he then said while looking at me "Such is the way which you must fathom yourself because I am of darkness."
"The hour of your regeneration has come, you will become like a new individual now. Follow me."
"After this, Victor, you will learn to command all nature, God alone will be your master. The demons will not dare to be found where you are. Your voice will make them tremble in the pits of the abyss, and all the invincibles who inhabits the four elements will esteem themselves happy to administer to your pleasure."
"Do you feel it, Victor, do you feel the heroic power which I talked about of the children of wisdom (Elysian)?. do you dare to desire it?".
At this point he stopped and regarded me fixedly as if waiting for an answer, or as if he were searching to read my heart.
I asked him "what is it I have to do?".
"Renounce all that is evil in order to occupy yourself only with that which is good". You see, my dear that the sacrifice which I demand of you is not painful and is not above your power; on the contrary, it will make you approach perfection and purity as near as it is possible for any man to attain. Do you accept that which I propose?".
"Oh master". I answered, "nothing conforms more to my desire than what you have said. I accept."
"It is sufficient". responsed the middle aged man.
The moment of initiation has arrived, I felt my soul detatch itself from the ground.
