Ugh... What happened... ?
I thought as I look around.
Where am I?
I don't recognize this place at all.
Eight other people are in the room with me. Several are regaining consciousness.
Someone groans.
Tetsu!
I'm not sure if I should be relieved or upset that my best friend is in the same predicament as me. It would help if I had any idea of what was going on.
I look to my left.
A man gets to his feet and stumbles toward the door.
He twists the doorknob, but it wouldn't budge.
'Locked'
The composed man says.
An imposing woman inquires.
'You mean we're trapped in here?'
A nervous girl speaks up.
'What's going on? Who would do this to us?'
Hey, I recognize this girl, too.
That's right, we were in the same place when this happened.
Tetsu and I had arrived at the party together.
In retrospect, we should have gone home the moment we realized something was weird.
'Uh... Are you sure this is the right place?'
I said.
Tetsu anwered.
'I'm positive. This is the right address, and there's clearly a party going on.'
'Okay, but I don't recognize any of these people.'
'... Me neither.'
Our college was big, but we should at least recognize a few people.
Are we the ony ones from our graduating class that responded to the invitation?
'We might as well enjoy ourselves.'
I suggested.
'Good point. It's a party, after all.'
Tetsu agreed.
'And we're both here, so what more do we need? It's not like we have classmates we're dying to see.'
Tetsu laughed.
'Haha, speak for yourself!'
'Oh, come on, you were even more of a loner than I was.'
'Let's take a look around.'
'Good idea.'
We started walking through the party together.
A few people smiled and greeted us, but no one seems to know what we were talking about when we mentioned our school.
There's definitely something weird about this.
I noticed a nervous girl beside me as I glanced to my left.
Hmm? This girl looks familiar...
'Excuse me?'
I started.
'Y-yes? Oh!'
She seemed surprised.
'What is it?'
I asked.
'You're Arthur, aren't you?'
She asked me.
'That's right! We had some classes together, didn't we?'
The nervous girl smiled.
'Yes, we were in the same literature class. I'm Hannah.'
