Chapter 1 - Arrival

Cole looked at his surroundings, absolutely confounded as to what had just happened. While he could not tell how, Cole somehow knew that he had transmigrated to another world, and was now an absurdly powerful wraith. He was not truly considered a ringwraith as he had somehow absorbed the powers of his massive stock of level 200 legendary equipment.

In the original game, the max player level was 80, but due to the FDVR version combining the first and second game as well as drastically expanding the playable area, the maximum level was adjusted accordingly. Each region of Mordor was actually bigger than it was in Lord of The Rings lore, leaving an absurdly large amount of ground to cover.

With a constitution that would make a balrog whimper in shame, and magical might rivaling Morgoth, Cole was practically invincible with only brute force. Adding his knowledge and experience with his abilities and inability to truly die, Cole was a force to be reckoned with.

Shrugging his well built shoulders at the surrounding rocks, Cole judged through the temperature that he was in a volcanic region. Cole's deduction was further affirmed by the smoky red sky above his head. As he was about to set out, however, Cole noticed that he only wore a black t-shirt with khaki pants and sandals. Not particularly surprised by such a development, Cole shrugged once more before trying to find a path out of his roasting environment. After several hours of monotonous strolling through the seemingly endless rock plateaus and lava flows, Cole heard a great roar.

Not really caring if he was in danger or not, Cole let his adventurous thoughts take over and rushed towards the source of the sound. What he found was a large force of human soldiers facing down a massive dragon, with fallen warriors spread around the battlefield.

Towering over its puny assailants, the dragon stretched about 40 meters from head to tail, with crystalline black spikes running down its spine. While having amethyst purple scales and claws of similar make to its spines, each movement of the great beast tore through more soldiers. From Cols's viewpoint, he could see that the dragon was going back and forth with a rather strong knight of some sort, though it was mostly the knight leaving small scratches on the dragon's scales while doing their best not to die horribly.

"Hmph, it would be a waste if I didn't use this chance to test my abilities to the fullest." Cole snickered to himself before concentrating.

Within a moment or two, a black fog rolled over Cole, revealing his outfit. He was adorned in the intimidating Blackened Servant's Armor, with Urfael and Acharn over Cole's shoulder. With the cloak and Mask of the Fell Rider hiding his face, and a spectral hammer in his hand, Cole launched himself through the shadows towards the dragon. (AN: I'm not really sure how to describe the armor in detail, so look it up if you need to.)

Avery Mulch was an old and experienced warrior, who in his prime was able to defeat several wyverns acting together on his lonesome, but what he saw now made that seem worthless. The massive dragon that he and his men had provoked on accident and was tearing them apart earlier, had suddenly reeled in pain and nearly fell over. Atop its head they could see a man in pitch black armor, appearing seemingly from nowhere before striking the beast.

The titanous dragon collapsed to the ground, the nearby soldiers barely avoiding being crushed, while the knight in black casually hopped down from its skull. Landing with a puff of dust, the man, Cole, started speaking to the dragon in a language no one could understand. After switching through the languages he had learned a few times, French, German, Italian, and a couple others, Cole found that the language those around him spoke was latin.

"So how about you work for me Purple? I promise I won't kill you if you do, and there will be benefits as well." Cole said in a charming voice, while the dragon cringed at its impromptu nickname.

But before the magnificent creature could raise its head to consider the offer, a terrifying aura swept through the area, disallowing any movement apart from breath or speech. Hastily brainstorming on how to get itself out of this mess, the dragon submitted instantly under the pressure.

"Fine, I understand. I will serve you with all I have, but I must beg you not to harm my mother while she lays her eggs. I am Amaskyraia... Master." the dragon, Amaskyraia, begged.

Nodding his head with a smirk, Cole raised his hand as it started to glow with an ominous green magic, before placing his hand on his new subordinate. Pain flashed through Ameskyraia's soul, she felt like a crucial part of her was taken away by her new master, yet could not bring herself to mourn it. Looking deep into her own heart, she saw something that shocked her. A mass of chain like energy had permeated her soul, both subtly and overtly directing her to obey all commands lest she risk destroying her mind. The most terrifying part was that the magic created a feeling of belonging, such as if it was only natural that Ameskyraia to serve with a smile on her face, with the only resistance revolving around her family.

While Purple sorted her mind out, Cole was pondering as to what he had experienced while waking the human soldiers, passed out from the pressure Cole had emitted before. Cole had already been aware of the moral issues regarding his power and frankly, he didn't give a damn. He would use his powers as he believed necessary, and would let no one push their morals on to him. Those who tried, would find themselves forced to watch as they themselves committed the very actions they deemed as irredeemable atrocities.
