Chapter 23 - Chapter 23

George had kept his word, he really was the only one who bothered me at school. But... it never ended with just name calling.

"Hey Shithead!" I glared at George who took a seat in front of me in the canteen. He gingerly lifted the envelope of cash I placed for Jennifer, who currently had no intention of approaching my table.

"Mr Dame" I politely said, trying to play the pissed off victim.

"Wrong!" He placed his feet on the table as he pulled the notes of cash out of the envelope. Smiling at his goons as he waddled it around.

Jennifer's going to kill me.

"Hello George?" I rephrased.

"Wrong again! Brain dead today aren't you Hamper!" He kicked my apple out of my hands, making it tumble over the dirty canteen floor.

His goons laughed as I felt my insides tremble. I glared at George hoping he'd leave it at this, but this was George Dame we were talking about. He wouldn't leave it here.

"What Hamper? Feeling mad?! Then say it! Say the right words!" I bit my lip, I couldn't say it. What was wrong with him?! This should be just as embarrassing for him as it is for me!

I breathed in to myself, preparing my lips for the cursed words about to leave them.

"Master George" I shut my eyes as my face burned. The roar from George's goons deafened me.

"That's it Hamper, ain't so hard is it?" George cackled.

Fuck you.

"Hey Harv, go grab me a full tray of the usual!" George gave a lanky boy some of the cash from the envelope while winking at me, "what? Do you mind Hamper?"

I already knew why George was acting like this. But, wasn't this too much. He shouldn't be this mad over yesterday. This is an over reaction!

Soon George's lanky goon bought over a full tray of food. Surprisingly, it was healthy stuff. A bowl of peas, baked carrots, mashed potatoes and gravy. This was his usual?

"Here you go boss" he placed the tray before George who smiled back at him and then turned to me.

"Looks appetising, Hamper?" George smirked mischievously.

"Yep." I answered and was met with an expectant glare, "master George." I sighed.

What has my life come to?

He suddenly stood and pulled his chair next to me while smiling at my confused face. He pulled the tray towards himself.

Now I was even more confused.

He lifted a spoon of not so appetising peas and pushed them in my face.

"Open up" he said and I did open my mouth, but before I ask him what the hell he was doing, the peas were forced into my mouth. "Do they taste nice?" He laughed like a sadist at my disgusted face.

My face burned at the embarrassing scene I was playing a part in. Soon more food was mashed in into my mouth before I could even chew the previous spoonful. The hotness on my face rose continuously as the spoons kept increasing with the occasional cup of water forced down my throat.

What the hell is George doing?!

I felt tears of humiliation and frustration threaten to spill down my face as they prickled my eyes.

But George just prepared the next spoonful, but before he could shove it in my mouth, his arm was grabbed in a vice grip.

Kevin stood there looking ready to murder George. I take it he hadn't expected this, because neither had i.

The loud canteen that once ignored the common scene of George Dame bullying his next victim was now silenced by the juicy turn of events.

"Stop bullying her George!" He whispered harshly at George who stared back at him unperturbed.

"What was that Wright? Your hungry too?" He asked, taunting the usually calm Blonde. Their was a flash in Kevin's eyes, a dangerous emotion, one that shouldn't be toyed with.

"Don't you fucking dare George! You've taken this too far!" He whispered once again at George. He was right and I also agreed.

"Kevin's righ"-

"Well Wright since your being such a dick right now and not letting poor Hamper have her meal then maybe we should leave the canteen and have some fun already!" George forced me up by pulling my arm, while his goons gave a cheer. He banged his shoulder against Kevins as he pulled out of the canteen with a tight arm around my shoulders.

"That was too much." I said once we left the canteen. Maybe it was because it was finally over but a familiar sleepiness hit me. Right, I had a late shift last night.

"Don't be ridiculous Hamper, nobody would buy it if I was nice to you and only called you names" he retorted back.

"Okay, but what type of bully force feeds their victims? What type of sadistic pervert are you?" I argued as George walked me through an unfamiliar path.

"Well,- I wasn't supposed to hit you or anything and you keep only eating apples so I thought I might as well"-

"That was so embarrassing!"

"That's what makes it bullying!"

The once tight arm around my shoulders was now gentle and relaxed. The demeanour George spoke in was no longer cruel or condescending, but respectful and nice.

"Where are you taking me?" The unfamiliar scenery making me stay on edge.

"Where I take all my victims so nobody can bother me", that isn't scary at all.

We came to the side of the school building that nobody really walked around. It was where George and his goons hanged around, so it was mostly avoided. But George was right, it was empty.

There stood against the wall, a lone bench. It was decorated in colourful graffiti, designed in even more colourful words.

George walked over towards it, dragging me who was trapped under his arm alongside him. Soon we sat and the usual sleepiness I'd indulge in, in the quiet library, travelled up my sleepy eyes.

"George let go of me." I muttered, barely in my right mind. He complied.

I stared at his lap and soon did what any suicidal person would do. I placed my head in the lap of the most notorious bully of St. Evans High, who stiffened at my sudden actions.

"What the fu** Hamper! This is harassment!" Ha... say who?

"I'm sleepy. Let me sleep" I whispered lightly just as I heard Kevin's voice from above me.

"What was that?" His voice sounded mad but I could barely stay conscious for what went down next.

"You wanted this Wright" George muttered, his tone softer than usual as if he was conscious of me who was sleeping on his lap.

"No, I didn't want that! I wanted a bit of name calling and a nudge here and there, that was way too much. And it didn't seem like you were bullying someone you hate, it seemed like you were bullying the girl you..." he paused as if a distasteful word was about to leave his mouth, but I already understood and so did George I guess.

"Ha... I'll tell you this Wright but all my victims up until this point have been boys. I don't even know how to bully girls, they get hurt easily. What am I supposed to do? Punch her?" He argues while I nodded along almost asleep. Right, this is the first time.

"No! Don't touch her! Just name calling, insults, laugh at her just don't touch her!" I felt a smile plaster my face at his words. That's sweet. It was a sweet and soothing feeling that coddled me in that moment, foreign but welcoming.

"God... I just fed her and left with her, that's it and stop talking so loudly, she's sleeping" George groaned out but soon after his words, I felt a soft hand gently caress the hair on my head.

"Stop it!"the hand that once gently touched my head was ripped away from me.

"What the hell Wright!" George exclaimed but in a soft hush. Was this Jealousy? Because of me? Unbelievable...

I sat up, with a grumpy face. Couldn't even get a wink of sleep.

I quickly moved away from the duo, who realised that I woke up with a sort of shock and worry.

"H-Hamper? Were you awake this whole time?" I furrowed my brows at George whose voice shook with worry. Strange, very strange.

Even Kevin looked worried about something, his pale face seemed even more paler than usual.

"What's the time?" I yawned, really needing another nap.

There was still 30 minutes of the lunch break left and I wasn't going to waste it here. I'm going to the library.

"I'm going to the library, you guys can continue" I said and walked away from the two guys. I wasn't going to force them to explain their closeted relationship. They deserved their time just like any lgbtq.
