"How many have kids have we gone through at this point?"
"About 20,363 so far."
Princess Calenity sighed and flopped down onto the couch. She and Destross had been interviewing kids for the past two hundred years, looking for the one who was to unite the dimensions. It was torture.
Destross began to scream and jumped around the room.
Calenity jumped off the couch and ran over to Destross. "What in the world is the matter with you?"
Destross' eyes began to gleam. "I've found them."
"You better not be joking."
"I'm not."
"Seriously, if you are, I will blast you across this room."
If you could call it a room. It was like a regular living room, except with no walls. Just endless black void for miles and miles. If you kept walking in that void for too long, you would likely go insane.
Destross took out his tracker pad and showed it to Calenity.
Calenity grinned. "The child is coming of age. The process has begun."
Destross' eyebrow lifted. "You mean puberty?"
"No! And...yes. The changes in his body are also helping him reveal his true form. He will find us soon."
Destross grinned. "I'll finally be able to get out of this dumb place!"
"Yes, as the boy's guardian, you must help him to reach his true calling."
Destross jumped up and down and danced like an idiot.
Calenity smiled. She was happy Destross was going to be able to leave this
Prison. But she would be left alone, having to stay behind and all.
Calenity shook away those negative thoughts. That didn't matter. What mattered was the universe. And how this boy was going to save it.
