The car goes deeper into the town. You look out the window and see a person walking their dog. There's
a group of people outside a house, it seems to be a party. On and on you see more of the town. "Wow,
this is so different from Cle Churchbrough!" you say as you look out with wide eyes.
"We'll go to the gas station to fill up and then we'll go find Leon." "Sure." They pull up to a gas station and
fill the car as everyone goes out to stretch a little.
"Mum, can I go to the restroom?" "Sure, go ahead."
You go into the store and turn to the left where the restrooms are. You go in and go into a stall.
You go out and towards the sinks, you turn it on and wash your hands. You look into the mirror and
behind your reflection you see...you? Well it looks exactly like you, but it's leaning onto the stall and is
smiling back at you. You turn around to see nothing, you look back into the mirror and he's not there
anymore. You splash water onto your face. 'I must be lacking sleep, that must be why I'm seeing things.'
You dry your hands on a paper towel and throw it into a metal bin. There once again you see him, you,
him. 'That's it!' You think as you rush out of the restroom.
"Hey, Serran. We're about to leave, you ready?"
Ellington asks you and he opens the door. "Yeah, I am." You get in as well and then you leave the gas
station into the streets. "The place is a little far from here so we'll arrive in a bit." Your mother says as she
turns into another street. "Okay, it's fine." You say as you keep looking outside.
She was right, it took a while to find the place, there were a lot of turning back around to find another way
there. But eventually you found it. It's a small two story house painted dark blue and white. There's a tree
in the front next to the porch. There in the front is your father. His hair seems longer than you remember.
He stands there and next to him is a man. Your mother parks in the driveway and everyone starts to get
out.
"Uncle Leon!" Sherry says as she gets out of the car. "Hello! Sherry, you seem taller than before, did
you grow taller?" "Yup, I've grown up more!" She says as she hugs the leg of your father. He chuckles
and then looks up. "Fountain!" He says smiling till all of his front teeth show, he extends his arms wide as
your mother goes up. "How've you been? You seem thinner than before!" Your mother says as she hugs
him. "Hello everyone he says as he waves while he keeps hugging your mother. "Hello." You and your
siblings say in response.
They stop hugging and your father turns to the man. "Everyone, this is the landlord's son, he came here
to check up on us." "Hello, I'm Thomas." He says as he shakes hands with your mother. "Hello, I'm
Fountain." She says and smiles. "Okay, I've checked on everything, and it seems like you're all good." He
says as he looks at your mother and father. "Yes thank you." Your father says as he smiles. "Yeah, bye."
The man says as he leaves.
"God, that was such a pain." Your father says as he opens the door. "Let's go in." He steps in and
everyone follows. He sits down on the couch and looks at Chris. "So you're Chris?" "Yes." He answers a
bit nervously. "Thank you for taking care of us, I appreciate it." He says as he smiles. "No problem
Elbridge was my best friend so of course I'll help out." "Thanks, oh we should eat! Have you all eaten?" "No, we didn't stop much except to sleep, get some quick food, go to the restroom and fill gas." Your
mother responds. "Well I got a big pot of macaroni and eggs in the fridge." Your mother looks at him with
that look that says 'Really?', "I think we should order take out." "Yeah I think that's a better Idea." He says
as he scratches his head.
After the food arrives everyone sits around the kitchen to eat. "So where are we going now Chris?" He
says through a mouthful of food. "It's safer over in Eronktov, I live there and I know lots of people that can
help us. Also Elbridge and Fountain's parents live there too." "Hmm, you've gotta point. Know how we'll
get there?" "We can go by plane or boat." "We should do plane, it'll probably take less time than a boat or
ship." "Yeah, we can go over to a different airport in a different area though, to make some time." "Yeah,
we can leave to go 1 or 2 states up and then leave." "Sure I think it's fine." "Both of you should eat instead
of talking right now, we have all morning and maybe the whole day tomorrow."
