As the angel said the words of congratulations, Ray arrived a few distances from the center, just enough to hear the words.
Ray look at the remaining people which has now gathered at the center. If he included himself, then there was a total of 40 survivors.
Because of the chaos from before, the previous clumsy unity was now in tatters.
Shifting his sight in 3 areas, Ray could see that the previous ragtag group has now fragmented into three smaller groups.
The first group was a 26-man group lead by the one acting as the leader from before. In this group Ray could see the previous schoolboy and his classmates, although one of them is missing.
It seems the other schoolboy didn't manage to survive. Ray could see the sorrow on the teenagers' eyes, especially on one of the girls. A girl could be seen sobbing right now as another girl could be seen trying to comfort her.
The 2nd group was a group consist of 9 people lead by a bald man. If Ray would guess what made them stick together, then it would've been the fact that this group is composed of people who had actively killed others during the chaos. The first group's leader could be seen glaring at the bald man's group from time to time.
Then the final group is a 4 people team, the one leading is a white-haired man with lots of piercings. His group was composed of a voluptuous woman with thick make-up, a teenage boy wearing glasses, and the meat slime from before.
As Ray was looking at the people, they were also looking at him as they saw his arrival, the majority were in shock. Most of them had forgotten about Ray, and now seeing him here, then it meant that he had managed to survived luring half of the zombies.
Ray look at the eyes of the group leaders. They were looking at him in different ways.
He could see relief in the eyes of the leader from before.
From the bald man, he could see the look of interest.
Then lastly, he could see a hint of hostility in the eyes of white hair.
Without bothering too much about their looks, Ray moved his eyes on the angel.
She looks too happy for someone who orchestrated the slaughter.
"Why?!!!" A woman suddenly screamed at the angel.
"Why does my brother have to die?!" The woman shouting came from the first group. It was a haggard woman who was dressed as an office lady.
Ray could see that her skirt was cut haphazardly in a way for her legs to move faster and due to it, he could even see her whole left leg including a part of her underwear.
"Why are you asking me? I don't know anything~ I am not the one who killed your brother~" The angel just look at her and said such words like a child making excuses.
"But it was you who summoned those zombies!!!
"Return him! Right now!!! Return my brother alive!!!" The woman was now bawling as she keeps on screaming at her.
"I don't know how to revive the dead~ I am not God~," The angel said as she shook her head and wave her hands.
Hearing such words, the woman didn't believe it, she had seen the angel do many impossible things, and she certainly believes that the angel could revive her brother.
"You!!!-
But as the woman was about to scream at the angel again, she suddenly found herself frozen and unable to continue her words.
"Oh, that's enough shouting now missus...
As the angel was trying to find a name for the woman, the angel's eyes moved into the woman's skirt.
"Missus Pink~ I pity you, but I really can't do anything about it~
"But I can give you a service as I am in a good mood~
"If you want to revive your brother, then you have just to do well in the next task~ You might even have the chance to revive your brother~"
"…" "!?""What?!" "Next task you say..."
Hearing the angel's words, many of the people around were in despair.
The first task was already scary enough, and now they are getting another one.
And as the angel saw the expressions of the people around, it suddenly pouted and then said,
"What, what do you think I am, a devil? I'm an angel~
"You all have nothing to worry about! Your next task will be easy peasy~"
Hearing the angel's words, the people around despaired even further, they heard the angel calling the previous task as easy, and now hearing the word again, they could even imagine what the peasy meant.
It gave them flashbacks of the bloody event.
Two violet portals then appeared on the angel's left and right side; this time it was 5 times bigger than the previous portals.
Seeing the far bigger portal, now the people were starting to get nervous.
"Look at you all acting all scared~ I still haven't even said anything about the task yet~
"Now then, this would be the final task, before you will be returned."
The angel then pointed at the left portal as the violet swirl on it turned into an image of a mansion.
"This is a mansion I have prepared as a reward for all of you.
"Food, water, everything you need is in there, enough to last you a year."
Then the angel pointed at the right portal as it then turned into an image of a wasteland. Different kinds of monsters are even shown in the image.
"This is the wasteland, where you can kill monsters whenever you like"
*Clap! *Clap!
As the angel claps her hands loudly as if she was about to say something serious next, she then said, "Now I will explain fully what the final task is~
"The final task is to just survive for 7 days, the mansion or the wasteland, you can choose whichever you would like.
"The portals here will stay for 24 hours, and after 24 hours, if you're still on this grassland then you will go bye bye~"
"What?" "Really?"
As everyone heard the angel's words, they found it too good to be true since they had expected the next task to be hard.
If they were just to survive for 7 days and they could even choose between the mansion and the monster-infested land, then they obviously would choose the mansion.
The angel said that they would be returned after finishing the task, so right now most of them just wanted to get it over with.
"Well since I have said all about the task then it's time for rewards~" As the angel said these words, the people then saw the ranking and their rewards on their minds.
Various expressions of shock could then be heard everywhere.
Ray too saw the ranking.
