Chapter 8 - Chapter 7- The Titan Slayer

Walking up those last Marble stairs I had never been happier.

Stepping into the room I was shocked to my core. The room itself was three times the size of the others floors, A massive golden throne sat front and center inside this giant room. Behind the throne was a pillar it wasn't a very wide pillar but that wasn't what was weird about it.

About six feet off of the ground the pillar shrunk slightly, enough that I could probably get my fingers around it. Sitting on the throne was a very skinny man. He had a flashy golden silk scarf that looped around his back. He wore purple and blue leather jester shoes hanging off the curled ends were golden bells. He had thick, spikey bright red hair and four, floating, silver orbs around his head. Plastered on his forehead was the symbol of a tornado.

His legs had very loose fitting pants made of a golden silk material. His left eye was completely white, and his right was nothing but black. /"You must be... The champion correct?"\

"That's what Gaia called me..."

Smirking he waved his left hand nonchalantly. In a bright golden glow twelve swords appeared before me.

/"Go on champion, I have no tricks. Pick the Sword of winds, Which one is the Titan slayer?"\

12 options... Any of them could be the Blade of winds... Looking around at the swords I struggled to figure out which could be the real one. /"You get one guess mortal, if you fail... You can always try again! In a year..."\

Grabbing my cloak from behind Blair got my attention.

"Did the Mossy sword glow?"

"Yes... Blair, I cant tell if your 6 or 600!"

Looking around I sighed...

"None of these swords are glowing..."

As I was looking around the test chamber something clicked. Remembering what Blair said when we arrived in this area.

"Wow, it really does look like a sword!"

The glow was white when we were teleported inside... Looking at the pillar behind the throne I Smiled.

"Well... I'm ready to make my guess. But it's a crazy one."

Saying nothing the Sky god stood up from his throne. Walking around the swords I made my way to the pillar. Grabbing the pillar in the area that looked like a grip the entire room began to glow white. The light blinded me as everything disappeared. As I opened my eyes I stood on a marble path on a small island.

/"Follow the path Lanius Frey."\

Looking around Blair was nowhere to be seen. As I walked I spent time to look around at the Majesty of this island. Looking out at the sea I noticed a bunch of white blobs floating...

Wait...

Running over to the edge I looked down and... Their was green! As far as the eye could see. Where the Sky temple was now sat a crater. Next to the crater was the tiny village ruins. A small ploof of smoke rose into the sky near one of the many ruined houses. "Good, Lux is still there..."

Resuming my stroll I noticed how grand the buildings on the island were. Marble temples built all over the island. As I made it to the end of the path a massive fountain with a statue stood to greet me. The Statue was of a powerful man he had long black hair and wore foreign armor,It was very oriental. He held a massive sword the size of his body.

/"Can you believe that used to be me?"\

"What is your name?"

/"The creator of the Sky, the one who brought life to the animals that roam the earth. The one who brings the judgment down on the mortals. I am Izangi the Sky king."\

Bowing before him He laughed at me.

/"Come Now Frey! I've been watching your journey so far and I have to say... I'm glad you came to me when you did. You will need the wind spirits to if you wish find the temple of darkness."\

Stepping to the side he ushered me closer.

/"We divine have set up tests with varying levels of difficulty to test the champion of the human race. You'll need to remember one thing, it might be easier to collect all the elements before obtaining Darkness or light. You might need the power of either to protect your friends. As you stand right now, you wouldn't stand a chance against the Elves. Plus that little girl is going to be the best pick for the dark Sage."\

"How would you know Izangi? Aren't you just the god of wind?"

"I am one of the 4 chief deity. I know alot Mortal. But that's enough chatting. Time for you to take my power."\

Ushering me forward the water of the fountain emptied. Behind the where the water would have been was a massive two handed sword. It had the same diamond crystals as the temple.

/"Behold, the weapon in which I placed a portion of my power. A long time ago this sword was used to strike the Titan Boreaus out of the sky. The blood of the Titan made the tip of the blade turn to gold."\

Walking up two the Sword I swallowed the spit created by my nerves. Grabbing the handle with both hands I pulled it from the fountain. Lifting it over my head I smiled. But shortly after that smile disappeared.

Wind began to pour into me, glowing white it filled my lungs, my body... felt like it was on fire. My veins began to glow white as I leaned against the giant sword to stay standing. A large pillar of gusting wind surrounded me. Finally, On my upper left thigh the symbol of a tornado.

/"The wind spirits like you, your lucky. The sky is your friend. Feel the air in your lungs and around you, Izangi is with you."\

"Wait! I have a question Izangi. There's something off about Blair... She is able to hear you speak, she could see you. But Lux my other companion couldn't hear Gaia. Why?"

/"All I can say is that she isn't a normal human. Her mother was, but her father isn't. She has a connection to the gods."\

"Thank you, Izangi."

/"Begone, for there is much for you to do. The sky is a powerful ally, don't disappoint them."\

Waving his hand the golden light blinded me again. Opening my eyes I stood in a massive crater. Where the Titan Slayer once stood.

Pulling the giant sword from the earth I was shocked at the weight of the blade. It was almost weightless. The sword itself didn't glow, it was just the edge of the blade.

The four crystals that held the symbols were still on the flat edge of the sword. The blade was a five feet long, it stood about my height, 5'6".

"The wind is with me huh?"

Slashing back and forth with the blade I slipped on a rock and threw it from my hands. Waiting to hear it clang to the ground seconds passed. Looking up from the ground I noticed something crazy. The sword was floating! it floated two feet off the ground.

Walking forward the Sword glowed bright as if beckoning me to it.

/"The sword has a mind of its own..."\

Going to grab the handle it shot forward.

"What's wrong with you?"

Swinging at my feet I jump on instinct. As I landed the Sword went under my feet.

"Did you want me to stand on you?"

Flashing brightly it was like it responded to me. "Okay... What now?"

The sword slanted forward slightly and we moved a couple feet. Leaning back we moved back few feet.

" Hold on... I can ride you?"

As if I answered the question correctly it flashed brightly a few times.

"Well... here goes nothing."

Leaning forward we started moving forward. But after a few seconds we began to pick up speed. Flying only two feet off the ground I shouted.

"This is amazing!" Flying towards the Ruins of the village I saw Lux sitting next to a fire talking to Blair. Noticing me he waved at me.

"So how do I stop?"

The sword was silent.

"How the fuck do I stop sword?"

Nothing.

"Shit Shit shit!"

Jumping off the Sword I slammed into the fire. The sheer impact of my body on the fire immediately put it out.

"That's quite the entrance Frey."

"S-Shut up."

Looking at the Sword I opened my hand.

"Get over here you little shit!"

Flying towards me the handle landed gently in my hand. Stabbing it into the earth I sat on a log next to the fire.

"What happened? Where did you two go?"

----------------

P.O.V Ander Fernandez

"Elder Tree!"

Placing my hands on the ground a big tree appeared in front of me.

Pumping my arm I smiled.

"You've really improved Ander! I wish I knew what your magic spirit was..."

Mother ran her hands through her hair. Looking at my tree she snapped her fingers. The tree instantly turned to ashes infront of me.

Sir Roland walked into the room with a huge book from the library.

"Here it is my lady. The encyclopedia of magical things."

Sitting on the bench in the garden she opened the book. "I've never heard of magic like that. The elder tree has never been linked to any spirit in particular... The behemoth maybe?"

Rubbing her temples she sighed."You are crazy you know that Ander?"

"Isn't that a good thing mother?"

Smirking she nodded. Her smile disappeared shortly after reading an entry.

"Magic glowing with a golden undertone is said to... Ander, Go ahead and summon your sword again."

Looking at me her eyes began to glow red. Opening my hand a giant green orb appeared above my hand.

"Spirit Blade of Moss!"

Vines began to wrap around the orb condensing its shape. In the palm of my hand was the sword.

"Aha! I figured it out. No wonder I couldn't see it sooner. Honey come here."

Sitting me down she smiled.

"I can't be completely sure, But you might have the soul of a Primal element."

"What does that mean mother?"

"When a god dies, they disappear forever. But the power they ruled over remains. Sometimes it dwells inside a human."

That's funny, I feel like I already knew that.

"How do we know for sure?"

"Well, when you attend a magic Academy they test your soul with a crystal ball. That way you'll know for sure."

Nodding I smiled.

"I wanna go practice some more."

Walking back into the garden I sat down and crossed my legs. Okay Mister Frey, prove to me that the journal is a grimoire.

Closing my eyes I felt the gentle breeze kissing my face. Moving around me it felt... Warm.

Pushing my hand forward I felt the wind change, moving in the direction of my hand.

"The sky spirits, are you with me as well?"

Nothing... It seems the wind hasn't taken a liking to me. At least not yet, but they do respond when I attempt to use sky magic they move...

Channeling Nature magic I took a note to remember how it felt.

"That's enough for me today mother."

"Alright, sweet dreams Ander."

Going back to my room I laid on the bed.

"These powers are really older than most empires?"

/"Hello? Is this telepathy magic working?"\

"H-Hello?"

/"Aha! Finally, Ever since the magic faded from Frey's crypt I have been trying to get ahold of you."\

"Who are you? What do you want with Mister Frey's Journal?"

/"My name is Toga Frey, I'm a descendant of the fire sage. My ancestor was related to Lanius, we have passed down the story of Lanius for centuries. I've reached out because I sensed Gaia's power awaken."\

"What do you want?"

/"I am the second oldest Sage alive, second only to the Sage of Darkness. The current Sages are all around the age of 11 to 13. So I've arranged for them to meet up at one of these... "Magic academies." The school is called Calypso. I am currently a teacher there. It is a safe place to meet your sages. Will you be there Frey?"\

"I am not Frey, I'm only 11."

/"But Gaia Sleeps within you! You are the Champion."\

Sighing I leaned against the wall.

"Toga, what is Embermore?"

/"Embermore? I don't know... Where did you hear it?"\

"One of the last things Mister Frey said before his Spirit faded."

/"I don't honestly know, you'll have to read his Journal to find out I guess. But remember, when your old enough. Go to Calypso Academy."\

"Wait! What makes it so safe?"

/"The current Headmaster was actually the Fire Dragon kings Vessle. He runs and protects the school from corruption."\

"Okay... I'll try, will you be talking to me alot?"

/"I might, you never know."\

Disappearing from my mind I was left alone in my room. With nothing else to do I reopened Frey's yellowed journal.
