Lyle's POV:
This is it. I glanced down at the box in my hand that fit my proposal ring to Milo inside. Tonight is our night. My nephews are getting married, and I want to be married before one of them spits out a kid and out does me. I've been planning for this for so long and put it off for so long- I deserve it. I already know our wedding will be perfect. I chose Mexico as our honeymoon location. Everything will go as planned, starting with tonight. I looked towards Milo's sleeping body before I crawled in over him and kissed his lips, enough to wake him. I took the ring out of the box and slipped it onto his finger. "Milo?" I asked softly. "Will you do me the honors of being my husband through eternity? By my side every sunset and morning?" He stirred then opened his eyes before he looked up at me and blushed.
"W-what?" He asked and then blinked a few times as he started to wake up more. I leaned in and gave his cheek a kiss.
"I said will you marry me, Milo." I held up his hand so he could see the ring on his finger. His eyes widened and he blushed then looked up at me.
"Is this a dream?" He asked me softly then quickly wrapped his arms around me, giving me a hopeful look.
"No," I told him and leaned in for another kiss. "This is real." He giggled happily then and kissed me quickly.
"Yes," he told me as he pulled back then gave me a huge smile. "Of course I'll marry you!" He tackled me into a hug then and flipped us with a loud purr, stealing another kiss from me. I laughed and hugged him tightly.
"Good~ Because I have the perfect honeymoon planned for us," I told him. He looked down into my eyes then and smiled sweetly to me.
"You do? Where are we going?" He asked me curiously and nuzzled his head into my neck. I felt his fangs scrape against my neck before he bit in and marked me.
"A hotel down in Mexico," I told him and moaned as his venom sent pleasures through my body. He purred then pulled back, licking his bloody lips clean.
"Is it pretty?" He asked me and giggled.
"Yeah. It's right on a beach. There's little crabs that like to sit on the rocks," I told him and smiled. "I love you," I purred. He purred back then kissed me quickly.
"I love you too~" He told me then giggled as he straddled my stomach then rubbed my cheek, his ring pressing up against my skin as he used that hand. I smiled and gave him a loving look.
"When do you want to marry?" I asked him. "That's up to you. You can plan the wedding. I planned the honeymoon." He blushed as he thought about it.
"I want to marry you soon but I want to enjoy being your fiancé too... and I don't want to have our wedding right between your nephews' weddings," he whispered. "It would seem like we jumped on the wedding ship if we did that... but I really want to marry you soon~"
"I know you do." I laughed. "We could marry in secret," I suggested. "Go on our honeymoon... Come back and marry again with the others there." He blushed then.
"Elope?" He asked me softly. I laughed and kissed his cheek.
"Don't you want to marry me?" I asked. He nodded quickly.
"Uh huh, I do," he told me and blushed. "Let's do that~ We'll be able to have a private more intimate wedding," he told me sweetly then kissed my cheek but paused. "Who would marry us? We'd have to have a council member do it- one who wouldn't tell everyone."
"Who would you like?" I asked and smirked. "We could have Silas do it."
"We could," he whispered then blushed. "Okay, we'll ask Silas to marry us. Call him~!" He giggled then got up before he started to run for the door. "EVEREST! GUESS WHAT!"
"You can't tell Everest," I told him and laughed. "Come back here." He frowned and looked back at me.
"I can't tell him we're engaged?" He asked and walked over to me before he laid back down in bed with me.
"Fine. But don't tell him about our marriage," I warned. I pulled out my phone and called Silas. Milo giggled and got up.
"Can we marry tomorrow?" He asked me sweetly, going towards the door.
"Sure~ I'll tell Silas." I purred to Milo. He gave me a huge smile then took off running to go tell Everest about his new ring.
"Hey, what is it Lyle?" Silas asked, picking up his phone. "Need something? It can't be about the resistance. I'm busy planning Nico's wedding before he cries."
"I was wondering if you could marry Milo and me off in secret tomorrow night. We want to go on our honey moon then come back for a huge wedding." I looked down at the ground. There was a long pause before he laughed.
"Is that all you want brother? You can't wait to get on your honeymoon with him? Alright I will marry the two of you in secret so you can go with a clean conscious. I will do it at the Rosario castle as soon as the sun goes down and the two of you are ready. You can pick where at in the castle. Get your things packed so you can leave quickly tomorrow. I will get a marriage contract printed. Call me if something changes~" He hung up quickly on me just as the door busted open.
"Awww! Lyle! You are such a love bug! This is so cute! You two are engaged finally! I can't believe it! You finally asked him! I thought you would've asked him years ago!" Everest ran over then tackled me into a hug as Milo giggled in the doorway, looking excited as he watched the two of us and played with his ring on his finger.
"Milo and I are going to go away for a couple of days together," I told him. "So you'll need to hold the roof for us. I'm sure Esther can help." I hugged my younger brother and laughed softly. He purred and nodded.
"I can totally do that for you~ Take all the time you need! Esther and I will run the castle and attend necessary meetings," he told me then kissed my cheek before he let go and laughed. "ESTHER!" He disappeared, leaving me with Milo who blushed then walked up to me, sitting down on the bed as he watched me.
"What did he say?" He asked me softly and touched his ring, running his finger over it.
"Silas said he would do it," I told him and grabbed his hand with the ring on it. "We should pack tonight. We're getting married early at dusk." He blushed and then kissed my cheek as he stood up.
"Okay~" He held my hand as he took us into the closet then got his bag down and grabbed his blue silk kimono Inari had given him and put it inside then started to grab more clothes to pack, a huge smile on his face as he tried not to giggle. I started to pack my bags, throwing in his favorite outfits I wear. I grabbed a shirt I liked and tossed it into his bag. He blushed and looked towards me. I smirked and leaned in, giving his cheek a kiss before looking him over.
"Milo, have you been writing lately?" I asked curiously. His blush deepened and he nodded.
"Y-yeah, I have been writing lately. I haven't published any of it," he told me then looked up into my eyes. "I've been working on ideas of mine. I have this one idea about a werewolf...."
"A werewolf?" I asked curiously and smiled.
"Yeah, he falls in love, and he ends up finding an abandoned baby," he told me and smiled. I looked him over and smirked.
"I'm going to inspire you to write a new story tomorrow," I whispered and brought him closer.
"A new story?" He asked me innocently, and he smiled at me before he kissed my cheek. "What would it be?"
"About two vampires.... madly in love." I purred out. "You'll never write another book as good as their love story that'll be inspired by ours." I promised him and got down on one knee, kissing his ring finger. He blushed and looked down at me before he knelt down in front of me and kissed my lips quickly. I kissed him back but pulled away slowly. I gave him a small smile. "But tonight, you're sleeping in the room across from mine." His eyes widened then and he tensed up.
"W-what?" He asked me, sounding heartbroken.
"You will. That way tomorrow will mean more to us." I kissed his cheek and purred. "You'll see. Go sleep alone tonight. It will be your first time as a vampire and the last." He gave a small whimper and I saw his eyes tearing up before he looked away from me, pulling his hand away. I looked him over before rubbing his tears away. "Don't cry. I'm going to be in here. I'll miss you too but I want this for us both. That way you'll know just how much I really do mean to you and I'll know the same. Our marriage tomorrow will be very special- This is also the last night you'll have your virginity." He leaned his head against my hand as he blushed and a tear slipped down his cheek.
"I don't want to sleep alone," he whispered. "I haven't slept alone since I was a human author searching for vampires in alley ways...."
"I haven't slept alone since I turned you into my fledgling," I purred out in amusement. "We'll be fine. This will be good for us. You want to marry me right? We're not supposed to be in the same bed the night before traditionally." He looked into my eyes then and frowned.
"I do want to marry you.... I don't want anyone else," he whispered. "I don't want to be alone either.... You're my maker Lyle...."
"I'll tuck you in," I promised and kissed his cheek.
"Lyle, please?" He begged softly.
"Milo," I purred. "You'll be okay. I'll have some butlers stand outside your door for the day. You'll sleep peacefully." He sniffled and moved closer to me, hiding his face into my chest like he used to do when I first created him. I purred and kissed the top of his head, feeling joyful. "I love you so much." I scooped him up and started to carry him down to the night room so we could see whoever we could before we marry tomorrow night. "I'm not doing it to be mean," I told him. "I'm doing it for a good reason. You should have the day alone so you can think over anything you want.... and think of me.... our wedding.... and how much you love me." He blushed and wrapped his arms around my neck quickly, burying his face into it as he curled up in my arms.
"I know how much I love you. I don't want to be apart," he whined.
"We will for the day," I told him. "Just across the hall from each other."
"But... but what if I can't sleep? Lyle... I've spent all my lonely life chasing vampires! I never slept!"
"You found vampires, you are a vampire, and when the sun comes up you won't be able to resist sleeping. It's in our DNA to sleep during the day. You'll sleep well and when you wake up, we'll get married. It's not a big deal."
"It is to me," he whispered then got quiet, clinging to me tightly.
"Milo, you're my little love bug. You've been clingy to me ever since we met. I want you to have one night alone. I didn't give it to you when you were five- but I should have to show you independence. Now you'll sleep alone until we marry." He whined softly and pulled back from my neck, looking up at me as another tear slipped down his face.
"I don't want to be alone," he whispered to me.
"It's just one day." I rubbed his head to comfort him. "I told you I would tuck you in, make servants wait by the door, and be just across the hall." He sniffled then slowly leaned back into my neck, resting his head there.
"O-okay," he mumbled quietly, broken. I looked him over.
"I love you," I whispered. My poor little fledgling.... It'll be his first time alone in a very long time.... I hope he can make it through the day. "You'll be ok."
"What if something happens? What if I wake up and you're not there?" He asked me softly, tightening his hold on me a little.
"I'll be just across the hall," I told him again. "Nothing will happen. You're afraid but you don't have to be. It'll be your last day alone." He relaxed a little at those words then nodded against my neck. I smiled as we reached the night room and I sat him down in an arm chair. "There we go. What would you like to do?" I asked. He blushed and looked up at me as he wiped at his face. I heard Everest come in then freeze before he growled.
"What the hell did you do to him?! His eyes are all puffy! Milo, did he say something cruel to you?" Everest quickly ran up and hugged Milo, yanking him into his arms then kissed the top of his head.
"I told him we were sleeping alone tonight. He's never slept alone as a vampire," I explained. "I thought I would give him the freedom before we marry. You see, I should have done it when he was five- I know Everest- but look at him~ I love him so much I forgot to."
"If he chose to sleep with you when he didn't have to anymore because he wasn't your fledgling anymore, then that's special," Everest muttered to me, caressing Milo's cheek as he held him close. "They normally ditch you if you make them sleep with you... and then you have to deal with sleeping alone for the first time in years and it's the worst feeling in the world. I hated it when my fledglings would grow up and run off to go explore the world on their own...."
"Yeah~ He's very clingy," I chuckled out. "I was just telling him. He teared him and tried to tell me no, but in the end, he agreed to the one night. I think this will be good for us both." I gave Everest a smile. "We're getting married tomorrow, Silas is marrying us in secret. When we come back from our honey moon, we'll have a bigger wedding- and we'll invite everyone."
"You... JERK! You didn't tell me until now! What the hell?! I've been the brother that's always had your back!" He screamed at me then exposed his fangs.
"You can be my best man?" I asked. He growled at me and let go of Milo, starting after me. I widened my eyes and took off running for my life. "OH MY NERVES! I'LL ASK SOMEONE ELSE THEN!" I yelled and mentally screamed at myself.
"IF YOU ASK SOMEONE ELSE, I WILL LITERALLY CRASH YOUR WEDDING!" I climbed up a statue and looked down at him.
"Okay okay okay! You're the best man tomorrow, so wear a suit nice and early at dusk." He stopped at the base of the statue and narrowed his eyes.
"You're damn right I'm the best man tomorrow," he hissed at me then reached for my foot. I gasped and made sure it was out of reach.
"But what about Milo?" I asked. Oh man, I might as well tell Esther.... Sylar too. He'll kill me if I leave him out of this.
"That's not the problem right now! I'M GOING TO SO GET YOU FOR TELLING ME IT WAS A VACATION!"
"Will you sleep with me tonight?" I heard Milo ask Everest innocently from where he stood. He paused then purred, a smile taking over on his face before he rushed over to my Milo and hugged him.
"Of course I will~!"
"No you won't, you're sleeping with me," I heard Neal say as he walked in, eating a uncooked stake. "I got my first day off in almost two weeks so you better be in our bed." He walked up to Everest and wrapped his arms around him. "Got it?" Everest blushed then turned around in Neal's arms, letting go of Milo quickly before he kissed Neal.
"You're off tonight?" He asked him and held onto him tightly before he leaned into Neal's neck with a purr. "I've missed having you in my bed all day~" He giggled then bit down into Neal, marking him. Neal moaned and melted at Everest's touch. Neal was probably entering his early forties, dang he's getting old... It seems like just yesterday he was complaining about having kids at a young age. I chuckled and felt myself loose balance, falling off the statue. I got up quickly and walked up to Neal.
"Dang Neal, you're getting old..." I looked over his deep toned muscles he was growing out from his pack duties. "And fit!" I touched one of his muscles quickly, getting curious. Everest smacked my hand quickly and smirked.
"No touchy~ This is my mate."
"Yeah~ but not as old as you're getting," Neal told me and laughed as he wrapped Everest up tighter to him, lifting him off the ground and gave him a kiss. He pulled back, letting out a small growl. "Yeah~ Alpha said I could have some time off for all the long days I've been putting in. That means we get personal time." He dropped the stake and went to bite Everest, teasing him. Everest gasped and tensed before he dodged and put his finger up against Neal's lips.
"Whoaaaa little pup! I know what those teeth do," he told him then giggled before he leaned in and kissed him. "You want a bite~?" He teased him softly against his lips.
"Just a little," Neal begged and let out a small howl against Everest's ear. He looked towards us then. "So! What's been happening? What have I missed out on? Everest doesn't tell me much when we do get time together."
"They're getting married tomorrow then going on honeymoon. That's all," Everest said quickly and went to get a kiss, trying to steal Neal's attention back to him.
"Oh yeah~! I bet that'll be fun." Neal put Everest down and let him go. "So, I'm going to go get a warm shower~ I think I deserve one. Want to join me?" Everest nodded quickly and snatched his hand, starting to pull him out of the room.
"Uh huh, I want to join you~ I don't get to keep you all to myself much any- Neal, what if we had another kid? You'd get so much more time off~"
"Two kids are enough already. I have to give them allowances and then they still ask for more money." Neal laughed softly. "Two and only two."
"But... I want another cub," Everest whined softly. "I miss it...."
"Ask them to have cubs. They're old enough to get mates and give us grandchildren. My mom would freak."
"But... I want my own cub," Everest whispered and pouted. "I want to hold him close and kiss his head and tell him bedtime stories and watch him gnaw on the furniture...."
"Hmmmmm... but I like you as a man," Neal told him. "It's more fun.... Especially with the toys we have."
"But... what about in the mating season?" Everest suggested lightly. "We could have all kinds of fun until the last couple of days then start trying for another cub...." I smiled as I heard them. I'm getting another nephew, I could tell by the look Neal was giving- already caving.
"F-fine," Neal sighed out. "The next mating season is in a few days." Everest giggled with happiness then tackled him into a hug.
"This will be the last one~ I promise," he said quickly then kissed Neal passionately.
"It'll have to be. I'm too old," Neal laughed out. "We might not even get one this mating season. Remember it gets harder the older I get."
"You're taking vitamins and all kinds of things," Everest said quickly then looked Neal in the eyes before he gave a playful growl. "I'm getting another cub~" He pushed Neal up against the wall then and kissed his neck with another laugh. I laughed as I watched them.
"Hey, maybe I'll have a kid too!" I said and looked at Milo. "Want a kid?" Milo's eyes widened and then he blushed a deep shade of red.
"B-but... we can't.... I'm not a pureblood like you," he whispered.
"That can be fixed- or we can adopt." I told him and shrugged. "Which one?" Milo bit his bottom lip and watched me before he glanced past me at Neal and Everest, watching as Everest started rattling off baby names he wanted to pick, trying to find one Neal liked. He blushed and then looked at me. "Just a thought," I told Milo. "We don't have to. We can wait a few centuries." I watched as Neal pulled Everest away, disappearing into the hall. He gave a soft smile then.
"I guess I wouldn't mind having a child. Everest looks so happy with the idea of having another one...." He giggled then and looked down at his tummy. "It'd be cute to have a little Lyle running around," he whispered then sat down in the arm chair.
"Well~ I'd love having a little Lyle around too. I'd get to tell him that one day I might make him be King." He laughed then and looked up at me.
"We can have a little Lyle," he purred softly to me and blushed. "I'll talk to Aurelio about becoming a pureblood after the honeymoon... and after we get married in front of everyone, we can have my gender switched and we can start trying to make a baby," he suggested then touched his tummy as he glanced down at it. "It'll be weird though... being a female."
"Well, we don't have to directly have it. We have multiple options. We can always get another female to help us." He blushed then.
"I don't know.... It would seem more like her baby then," he mumbled and moved his hand away from his stomach and looked at the floor as he brought his knees up to his chest. "I guess it'd be alright though... just as long as it was a baby and it was yours...." He got quiet then and rubbed his leg slightly with his thumb as he stared at the floor.
"You're truly okay with it?" I asked him and purred. He bit his bottom lip then leaned his face into his knees.
"I wouldn't have time for writing if I got pregnant myself," he mumbled under his breath.
"Well, it's a big decision," I told him. "But we have eternity." He nodded and squeezed his legs tightly against his chest.
"Y-yeah," he whispered, hiding his face. "We have eternity...."
"Milo~ We don't have to if you don't want to." I walked up to him and knelt down. He picked his head up a little and looked towards me before he frowned and laid his head against his knees, looking at me.
"I... I do want a little Lyle running around though," he whispered. "I just... I feel like I would be left out of the picture if someone else carried your baby. She'd be the mother...."
"Well," I purred. "You can be the mother- we'll do a test run. If you don't like it then we won't do it. We'll make you a girl for a day and put a pregnancy belly on you to carry around. Then we'll go see my nephews- my youngest ones and we'll be around them for a few days." He blushed and looked at me.
"Okay," he whispered then gave me a small, sweet smile. "I like that idea better." He reached out for my hand then and purred softly. "We'll do that.... I mean, I'll only be a girl for a year and a couple of months to allow for nursing. I'll be right back to being a male once our baby stops having to nurse. That's not too bad... and we have eternity as males to look forward too."
"Alright, we're having a kid." I laughed softly at the thought. I'm the oldest and I'm about to have children. I bet they'll say something like 'its about time'. He smiled and then giggled before he got off the chair and hugged me, kissing my cheek.
"I love you Lyle," he whispered to me then curled up to me. "We can start this after a week or two after our bigger wedding. It'll give us time to prepare."
"We'll still have practice runs," I warned him. "Just so we'll end up being ready when it comes." I'll have to order the stuff online. Maybe I should get a fake robot baby too. He nodded and gave me a sweet kiss on the cheek.
"Of course. I don't want to have a baby just yet if we're not ready for it," he told me and smiled. "I want to be prepared."
"We will be," I told him and nodded. I'll make sure of it... but first- I should think of something for Neal and Everest. Neal can't live forever like we can- and I should start working on that right away.
"We could get a contraction simulator too," he mumbled to me. "That way I don't freak out when I start having the baby. I heard females have periods that way they can get used to it early in life before they start having babies... and you know... because of the whole sex ed thing they forced us to sit through in our teenage years," he whispered and blushed.
"Ummm.... We'll see about that," I told him and blushed. "I mean- we're vampires- so it shouldn't be that bad- Let's go ask Silas." I pulled out my phone quickly and called him.
"What? Did something go wrong? HE DIDN'T GET COLD FEET DID HE?! DON'T TELL ME HE RAN AWAY! Shit! Rei! Go get the net!"
"Nooooo- we were wondering about the birthing processes you went through," I told him. He got quiet then I heard him tsk.
"Lyle, you were right there with me. You know how it goes. There's a breakage of the water and then the contractions start and you go into labor for a few hours where you push a baby out. If you're trying to ask me if it was painful, try the idea out of pushing a baby out of your body and see if you think that's painful."
"Ummm.... I can't imagine it to be honest," I told him and laughed.
"I broke your hand with A'slin. They had to dope me up on pain meds," he told me flatly.
"You did? So that's why I can't write with it like I use to," I joked and laughed. "Alright alright- you're going to scare Milo out of being the girl."
"Look, just have the pain meds close by when Milo gets heavily pregnant if you get him pregnant. It'll be helpful for him and make the process easier. Rei smartened up and kept a small case with a needle filled with fast acting pain meds to get me with by the time my.... tenth kid came? Is that right?" He hummed softly then. "Yeah, that's right. He started keeping that close by so I wouldn't hurt myself."
"Thanks brother~ See you tomorrow." I hung up and called Esther then. Milo blushed as he watched me and curled up against my chest.
"Ello~ This is Esther speakiiiiiing!" She burst out into a fit of giggles then. "Oh Travis, can I have another glass?"
"THE HELL ARE YOU DOING WITH TRAVIS!?" I asked and texted Silas quickly.
Me: Are you aware our sister is with Travis atm!
Silas: No, I didn't know.... Funny. I thought she had been hanging out with Everest lately.
"Oh~ I asked Everest to take me," she purred into the phone. "I thought I could use a night out."
"Relax, I'm not doing anything yet to her," Travis laughed into the phone. "Key word: Yet. Have some vodka- You'll like that."
"Esther! You better be sober tomorrow. You're going to be Milo's best man at our wedding. It's a small secret one too."
"Oh? You're inviting me? Okay~ I'll be there! Travis, you're not going to do a thing with me except maybe dance with me. Ooooh, I want a strawberry daiquiri."
'Yeah, you just would want a girlie drink," I heard Travis muttering.
"Okay you two, don't do anything I wouldn't do," I warned.
"Hey Travie... have I ever told you how cute you are?" I heard Esther giggle out, sounding slightly drunk already.
"Hella I'm getting laid tonight," Travis said and suddenly the phone cut off on me. I frowned. He better not be touching my little sister.... I called Silas then.
"What's going on with Esther?" He asked quickly, picking up on the first ring.
"I think she's drunk and Travis is touching her. Go check in on them, will you?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll get her home," I heard him mutter, hanging up quickly. Milo blushed and looked up at me before he kissed my cheek.
"Is she alright?"
"Just drunk and with a player," I told him and pulled him closer. "Here, call Sylar and invite him." I suggested and kissed his cheek. I gave him my phone then. He looked it over before he dialed up Sylar's number and giggled.
"Sylar, I'm getting married tomorrow. Wanna come? It's a secret one~ We're going to have the big one later," he whispered into the phone with a happy smile.
"Wait... this isn't a trick to get me there... is it? Because I'm not getting back in a cell with that jerk," I heard Sylar telling him.
"Nuh uh! Lyle proposed to me!" He giggled then and made a small squeal noise. "He woke me up with a ring on my finger!"
"Aw-oh okay. Fine. Only for you Milo." Sylar said into the phone.
"Thanks Sylar~ I'm going to love having you there. At the big wedding, I might have you walk me up the aisle."
"Uhhhhhmmmm... Do I have to? You're sure the wedding will be small right?" He asked.
"The real one is small," he purred softly. "Lyle and I wanted to get married quickly, so we're having a secret wedding then we're going to come back from our honeymoon and have a big wedding for those who missed out."
"F-fine. I'll do it."
"Thanks Sylar~ You're the best!" He giggled then and purred. "So you're going to officially be my brother in law soon~"
"Yeah, I figured that part out. I'll see if I have any good looking suits to wear tomorrow."
"Okay, I'll let you do that then," he purred then hung up before he slipped my phone back into my hand then kissed my lips. "Can we watch some movies together?" He asked innocently, looking towards the TV with a sweet smile. I nodded.
"Sure we can~" I walked up to the shelves with movies. "What should we watch?" I asked.
"Uhm... I think we should watch.... You know, I think they turned one of my books into a movie," he whispered under his breath. "They did it after I supposedly died. Funny how death makes you more famous sometimes." He smiled then. "Do we have it? It'd be called Find Me at Midnight." I looked the movies over before snatching the copy we owned. I bet you more than anything Sylar bought it. I put it into the blue ray and took the remotes with me to the couch, sitting down. I patted the spot next to me, expecting him to join me. He looked at me then giggled before he sat down beside me and leaned his head against my shoulder as I started the movie, watching it all the way through with me.
