Chapter 116 - Drag Silas Through Hell

Continuation of Silas' POV:

I felt Calix keeping a tight grip on my hand as he led me through Hell, the ground burning through my soles in my shoes and making me yelp. No matter what, you must not let go of my hand. If you do, you could be taken easily or get lost. Hell is tricky. "You feeling okay?" Calix purred to me, glancing down at me.

"N-no," I admitted, feeling sick as the screams echoed all around me. I was focusing on Calix's back to avoid looking in their direction, frequently having to pick my feet up from the heat and the hands that would grab at my feet, trying to save themselves from the fires of Hell.

"Remember, don't let go," he warned me, glancing around. "I don't want you to get separated and lost from me." I nodded and squeezed his hand, giving an uneasy smile. I heard a small echo... a familiar voice calling for me. It was so familiar.... It sounded like Lyle. I paused then frowned, looking for it.

"Lyle?" I called out. Calix hissed and pulled me close.

"Don't listen to that. He's not here. Don't listen to anything you hear in Hell," he warned me then started to led me a little more quicker, tightening his grip. I whimpered as I felt like he was practically about to break the bones in my hands his grip was so tight. I heard a scream then before my name was called out in it. Lyle's voice again. I widened my eyes and looked around quickly. "Silas," he hissed at me then. "Sing something under your breath if you have to, but don't give it anything to use on you and don't pay it attention." I frowned and felt my crystal pulse in worry, but I returned my eyes to the back of Calix and started to softly sing Mona Lisa under my breath.

"Well well well....." I heard a voice crack up through the screams. Hell suddenly went quiet. "Calix....." I heard the clicking of heels as someone approached us. "Here I was strolling in my beautiful hell when I stumble across.... what's this?" Calix's eyes went wide quickly and he yanked me behind him more.

"Nothing, your highness," he said then bowed his head. "I'm just taking my snack for a walk to show him that he better be grateful that he's not one of those wretched souls on the ground."

"You wouldn't be lying to me now would you? Be careful because I see everything here and I hear everything here." A blonde haired male stepped out of shadows in a black and white suit. "I don't want one of my demons lying." Calix purred then.

"No, your highness. Why would I ever lie to you? I have a contract with this soul if you'd like to see it," he told him calmly.

"Ha..." He looked me over before nodding. "So you do...." He waved it off. "Get going." Calix gave a small smirk then.

"Of course your highness," he purred and bowed his head again before he yanked me past the male quickly. I looked at the Devil with a slight frown and ran to keep up with Calix. Calix made that out to be more scary than it actually was.... I guess that's the reason why he gave us a contract then....

"Not quick enough," the Devil said and I suddenly heard wolves howling, the howls coming closer. I glanced towards the Devil and widened my eyes. Wolves? Is that just Hell again... or.... Calix listened to it for a second then hissed lightly, looking at the Devil in slight irritation.

"Come on Silas," he told me firmly and picked me up, starting to run off with me. I yelped and clung to him as he raced with me.

"Calix, what is that?" I asked him worriedly.

"The Devil is playing with us," he told me and growled. I could hear the devil's laughter echo. Calix frowned and tightened his grip on my body as he headed for a stone fence way in the distance, focusing on it. He kept his mouth shut as he listened in on the howls, tsking. The howls faded away after a few minutes. I heard the wind pick up then, a hot breeze flew through my hair and made me break out into a heavy sweat.

"Silas," I heard a familiar voice whispering. My father's voice. I widened my eyes and clung to Calix.

"Dad," I mumbled, looking over where we were going. What if my father and mother are in-

"No," Calix told me firmly. "You're only coming out with what you originally wanted. You'd make this too risky... and you'd make it so much worse," he whispered in my ear. I frowned but nodded. My father died awhile ago.... Even if I tried to bring him back with mother... they wouldn't be as happy. Their friends killed them....

"Okay," I whispered to him and buried my face into his shirt. He gagged at me.

"Gross, get your sweaty face off my beautiful shirt," he hissed in my ear. I whined and moved my face back from him.

"But this is terrifying... and I don't want to see it," I whispered to him.

"Then you can continue singing under your breath and look at me," he told me and sighed as he slowed down a bit. We approached the fence and he took me to a gate, sneaking us inside. I could see stones littering the ground among blood red rose bushes that had crispy, burnt leaves. "She's in here somewhere," he muttered to me then sat me down. "You're going to have to feel her out, so lead us to her." I frowned and looked at the ground as my feet started to burn again and cried out in pain. "You're tough enough to get through it," he told me firmly then made me walk forward a bit. "Hurry up. I don't plan on any other encounters tonight." I looked back at him worriedly then looked the crystals over. So this is where we end up... in a garden with roses and barely any trees.... I started to walk forward, taking care not to step on any of the crystals and looked around, trying to find my sister. As I looked over the crystals I caught the reflection of the dark fires burning above my head. The sounds of screams lingered around me. I frowned a little and glanced towards Calix, seeing him right behind me. He purred at me then rubbed my head with his free hand. "You're taking Hell quite well actually. Laurence couldn't stand it near as much as you~" He purred at me then laughed.

"He's a lot younger than me," I told him and frowned before I looked around again. Esther is somewhere out here.... I sung softly under my breath to avoid listening to the screams and walked around the garden for a little while, looking every single crystal over until I finally came to stop at one, my crystal giving a small pulse. I widened my eyes slightly then stopped singing before I bent down and picked it up quickly. It pulsed quickly to me, and I could smell Esther all over it clear as the moonlight. I purred and pocketed her then looked at Calix. "Okay, get me out of here Calix," I told him quickly. "I got what I wanted." He smirked and nodded before he picked me up and started for the garden exit, taking me back to the main part of Hell.

"Don't lose her," he told me and held me close. "You don't want to drop her out here.... You'll never see her again." I nodded and bit my bottom lip, keeping my hand over my pocket to make sure she wouldn't fall out. "Good." He chuckled and started to carry me across Hell with a purr. "Now... don't ask me again to bring you here, because I'm not risking this twice," he hissed lightly in my ear, keeping his voice a whisper. I nodded quickly and growled.

"I don't ever want to come back here," I told him and frowned. "This place is horrible. I don't know how you demons live here!"

"Simple, we like it here," he purred at me and smirked. "The damned screaming all day is like music to us." I wrinkled up my nose.

"Demons are disgusting."

"No, we just find it amusing," he told me and laughed. "We feed off this stuff." I frowned at him then shook my head. Disgusting.... I sighed and leaned my head against him, closing my eyes.

"Whatever... just get me home please," I mumbled and wrapped one arm around his neck, keeping the other firmly on my pocket.

"Sure," he whispered to me. I nodded and listened to the screams, a small shiver going through me. I'm so glad that when I die... I'll be in that garden. It's so much better than being out here.... I trembled as I couldn't get the screams out of my head and clung to Calix and Esther's crystal as he walked with me calmly, seeming to be at home with the sounds. I heard the screams whistling near my head. Calix started to hum softly to me though, giving a small sigh as he lifted me up a little higher. "You're old enough to walk on your own," he muttered to me.

"I don't want my feet on that burning ground," I hissed lightly at him then narrowed my eyes as I opened them. "Don't make me walk on that."

"Big baby," he huffed and went back to humming, but it only made me feel worse... like my soul was trying to crawl up a wall to get away from him. I shivered and took my arm back from him then looked away.

Lyle's POV:

I frowned as I paced the night room's floor. It's been two days and three nights since I last saw my brother and Calix.... I hope he's coming back to me. I bit my bottom lip hard, worried to death for him. Everest watched me pacing and frowned, pulling her feet close to her. "Do you think something happened to him?" She asked worriedly and kept her eyes on me. Milo rubbed Baby on the head, feeding him some milk as he looked at me in concern.

"I don't know," I whispered and started to break out into tears. I'm going to have to tell Rei I let his mate go running off to hell on a wild goose chase.... He's going to kill me. Milo got up quickly and rushed over to me, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I'm sure he'll be back," he whispered, putting the bottle in his pocket as Baby finished it off. He slipped Baby onto his shoulder then hugged me. "He's a tough vampire.... Trust me, he threw me through a wall once." I sniffled and pulled Milo closer to me before hugging him tightly. What if he doesn't come back? He purred comfortingly to me and wiped my tears away. "He'll be back," he promised me and then gave me a soft kiss. "Have you told Rei at least where he went?"

"I told Rei that Silas would be gone for a bit.... away..... on business...." I mumbled. There's no way I'd be able to tell him exactly where Silas went until he came back safely.

"If he doesn't come back tonight... you need to tell him," he whispered to me. "You can't make Rei wonder where his mate is forever...."

"I- I know..... but I don't want to do it alone," I mumbled.

"You could tell him with me," Milo mumbled to me and rubbed my cheek. "You can't leave him in the dark forever though...."

"Okay..." I whispered. "I'll call him tomorrow night if he's not back by then..." Three days.... Milo nodded then gently led me over to the couch and sat me down, sitting in my lap. He leaned his head into the crook of my neck and gave a soft purr, his scent comforting me. I looked off towards the corner of the room. Something bad happened to Silas... That's why he's not back yet. Everest got up and shuddered before she started for the door.

"I'll get us some blood... while we wait.... I'll call Sylar too and tell him what happened with Silas since how he's off at Sera's," Everest told us and rubbed her arm.

"Don't yet," I begged. "I don't want him to know about what happened with Lavender. He can't know right now."

"He deserves to know," Everest told me firmly. "His sister is dead, and his brother is gone- that's his favorite brother too. He needs to know Lavender is dead too."

"Not now," I said quickly. "I can't handle his sadness too. He can't know just yet.... Wait until tomorrow," I begged.

"He's off at Sera's," Everest told me and sighed. "Look, I'll handle Sylar tonight.... You just worry about Silas's mate."

"Everest.... Please don't tell him just yet.... I don't want him worrying about Silas...." I shook my head. "He's our baby brother." Everest paused and looked me over before she shook her head.

"No, I'm telling him.... If anything, it'll bring Sylar closer to Silas again. Those two have been fighting silently for a long time...."

"Everest...." I looked her over. "F-fine..." I shook my head quickly. Sylar doesn't need this kind of sorrow put on him with the rest he's had. Everest nodded and left the room then, her heels clicking on the floor. Milo watched her go then looked up at me before he gave me a small kiss and leaned his head against my shoulder, gently petting Baby. "Sylar doesn't deserve this," I mumbled. "He's had to deal with so much already...." I shook my head. Silas better come home tonight.

"No one deserves this," Milo whispered then bit his bottom lip before he looked up at me. "Lyle... I got you something... and I was going to give it to you on a date... but I think you could use it now," he told me then got to his feet. He gave me a worried look then kissed my cheek, putting Baby in my lap before he walked off quickly to go get it. I rubbed Baby's head and watched Milo leaving me. I sunk down on the couch and let out a small whimper. Everest walked in then and sat a bottle of blood down on the coffee table then sat beside me.

"I decided not to call Sylar till tomorrow night.... I would rather tell everyone all at once...." She whispered to me. Milo was back quickly, hiding something behind his back with a small smile as he walked up and sat in my lap. I quickly moved Baby out of his way and placed him on my shoulder. I glanced up at him and gave a small smile.

"Milo," I whispered. He purred to me and then pulled a small, beautiful box from behind his back, placing it in my hands with a light blush on his cheeks.

"I figured you'd like these," he mumbled to me, looking me in the eyes. It was a small tin box that was painted red with gold swirls running across it, a beautiful black ribbon tying it all shut. I looked it over before pulling the ribbon off and opened the tin box, curious about what's in it. Little, bite sized chocolate hearts were inside, laid out on a piece of red velvet- about fifteen of them.

"Chocolate?" I asked softly. "You got me chocolate?" He giggled and nodded.

"Yeah, I thought you'd like it. I got it to give you on our next date... but you look like you need it now more than later," he told me and purred. "You should eat one. They're special." I gave him a small smile.

"I think you should eat one," I told him and picked one up before placing it against his lips. He blushed and looked at it then gently took it from my fingers and ate it. He moaned and looked delighted, chewing it slowly to savor it. I could smell a little blood then as he ate it. I looked him over in interest. I wonder where the blood comes from.... I glanced at the chocolate before eating one to amuse him. He watched me curiously as I tasted the rich chocolate then sweet fresh tasting blood that filled it. I gave him a smile.

"It's good, thank you." I leaned in and gave him a small kiss on his lips. He purred to me and then gently placed a silver rose that he had hid behind him too in my hands.

"You're welcome," he whispered to me and gave me a loving look. "I'm glad you like it." I looked at the silver rose and sat up, leaning in to smell it. Silas.

"A silver rose," I mumbled. He bit his bottom lip and watched me.

"Silas suggested that I get you a bouquet of them to give you with the chocolates...." He whispered to me and then looked at the rose.

"Yes, silver roses are his favorite," I heard Silas purr in my ear from behind me, his voice sounding a little off. I tensed up a bit although I was excited to hear him. He's home- but that means I've got to deal with him being demonic.

"Silas!" I turned around quickly to look at him. He's home. He looked at me with a small smirk, but his now red eyes unnerved me and scared me a little. His clothes were burned a bit and I saw black, curly horns that curled around on his head near his ears that were a little pointed. I gasped a little and felt my heart skip a beat, my lungs dried up as if they were grape fruit. I looked towards his horns and slowly gave Baby to Milo. "Silas....." I mumbled. Milo quickly took Baby and hid him against his chest, getting off me and went to Everest.

"What?" Silas asked and chuckled darkly, tapping my nose. "Are you frightened?"

"N-no," I mumbled as I slipped off the couch slowly and faced him. "I'm not scared." I shouldn't mention the holy water... he might get angry and attack me or something. I'll have to be smart and get him while he sleeps during the day. I gave him a smile. "I'm glad you're home. I was getting worried." He purred then and held up his hand as he leaned on the couch with his elbows then shifted a small crystal between his fingers to show me.

"Guess who I got?" He sung out and then smirked. "Death couldn't take her away from us." I widened my eyes and let out a sigh of relief. I got them both back. I'll have to thank Calix somehow.

"Everest, let Rei and Sylar know everything tomorrow. I'm sure Laurence knows by now but you can still give him a text." I reached out to take Esther's crystal. She's going in a jar before we revive her. We'll cure her first.

"Ah-ah-ah~ Not so fast," Silas purred to me and moved Esther's crystal back so I couldn't take it from him easily. He kissed it then. "I'm going to revive her~"

"No!" I yelled but caught myself from dragging it out. "Silas.... I wanted to," I told him. "Besides.... You should rest," I suggested. "I bet hell.... was horrible. You were down there for three days." He looked me over then pocketed her.

"I'm going to be there when you do," he purred to me then moved back from the couch and stretched. "Mmmmm~ I could use a nap though," he said and laughed. Everest stared at him with wide eyes and then looked at me quickly then at Silas.

"Silas," I purred and went around the couch for him. "Give me her crystal." I reached out for it. He's going to make this hard for me, isn't he? He frowned at me then gave a slight growl, the sound ripping through his throat and sending my hair on edge. I froze up quickly. "Silas..." I mumbled. "Let me see her crystal," I whispered. "I'll take good care of her, I promise." His eyes narrowed and he gave me a suspicious look before he studied me.

"She might get hurt again," he told me then pulled the crystal back out of his pocket and looked it over. He purred and gave it another gentle kiss. "My little princess," he mumbled to it and watched as it pulsed to him, darkness swirling around her crystal. "Do you want to wake up tonight?"

"No! Silas," I begged. "Give her to me." He frowned and looked at me.

"What's the matter with you? Don't you want to see her wake up tonight?" He asked and then rubbed her crystal with his thumb. He purred then exposed his sharp fangs and leaned in, nicking his finger and rubbed it across her crystal. I widened my eyes and quickly tackled him to the ground and snatched her out of his hands. I rubbed her clean quickly. Oh my freak! PLEASE don't start rooting. I don't need two demons around the house besides Calix. I tossed her towards Everest then.

"RUN!" I yelled and grabbed Silas's shoulders to keep him down. Everest yelped and grabbed Milo, taking off running. Silas snarled at me and gave me a pissed look before he grabbed me by the front of my shirt and yanked me closer to him.

"Traitor," he hissed under his breath then sunk his fangs into me. I yelped out in pain.

"I'm not!" I whined out. "Silas, it's for her own good. We're going to cleanse her so she can come back as herself," I told him. I squirmed on top of him and whimpered in pain. "You're hurting me," I whispered. He pulled his fangs out then bit down into his wrist and pushed it up against my lips, flipping us as he started trying to force feed me his blood. I widened my eyes and looked away quickly. "Stop Silas," I begged and squirmed under him, crawling out from under his body the best I could. My heart raced in fear. I can't drink his blood! Who knows what it will do to me.... It's probably poison! He growled and yanked me back before I could fully get away then rubbed his wrist against my bite wound.

"You'll understand soon enough," he purred to me then kissed my cheek. "I'm going to make the world safe for you all... and I want you by my side Lyle~" I grabbed his hand and yanked it away from my wound, feeling a little clouded suddenly.

"Silas! Don't do that," I told him and blinked a few times as my neck throbbed. I let out a small cry of pain and let his hand go, going for my neck as it stung like a bee sting. He watched me and got off, pulling me into his lap with a small purr then kissed my cheek.

"It's okay," he purred to me softly. "You're going to be strong and powerful... and we'll make this world safe for everyone together~ Don't fight it." I scratched at my neck quickly, realizing what was happening. Oh my freak, it's in me. I felt my heart race as it frightened me. I've got to get it out of me!

"Silas! What'd you do to me!" I yelled. "Are you freaking nuts!?" I asked. Of course he is! He can't think straight. "You can't think straight!" He laughed.

"Brother, this is the clearest I've thought in ages," he told me and chuckled darkly in my ear before he got up and carried me around the couch and sat me on it. "Relax and don't panic. You're going to be perfectly fine," he purred and ran his fingers through my hair. "Esther should be waking up soon too... and then we can help Everest...." I widened my eyes and sat up quickly. I've got to go drink holy water before it takes me over! I got to my feet and felt panic rising in me as I headed for the kitchen. He snarled and appeared in front of me, grabbing me and pushed me up against a wall. I could see darkness lingering around him before it dissipated quickly. "Lyle," he growled lightly. "I need you to understand.... You can either be by my side... and rule the safe world with me... or you'll be locked away where you'll be safe forever- even from yourself."

"Silas," I cried out and looked him over. "Let me go right now," I hissed. "I've got to go find holy water," I told him and looked him in the eyes. I trembled a little as the pain started to spread. "I don't want to be like you too. What if I hurt Milo?" I asked and started to cry. I sunk down to try to get around him. He held me back and kissed my head.

"You won't hurt Milo. Trust me~ If this was a bad thing, I'd be begging you to take my crystal~ It's alright," he purred to me happily. "We'll give Milo a little blood too."

"No!" I yelled. "That's not you talking!" I shook my head. "We've got to cleanse each other," I told him and looked towards his chest and went for it, ripping at his shirt. He hissed at me and grabbed my hands before he leaned in and licked one of my fingers and pierced it with his fangs. He bit down into his bottom lip then kissed my wound, getting more of his blood in my system. I gasped and stomped on his foot hard, slinging my body against him. I've got to hurry before it takes over! "Silas," I yelled. He growled at me then grabbed me by my shirt and yanked me towards him.

"Quit resisting it," he hissed at me angrily then narrowed his eyes. He started to drag me in the direction of the stairs leading to our dungeon. "I'll lock you away and check on you in a few hours," he muttered. I widened my eyes and quickly took off my shirt and started running down the hall from him. He's not putting me down there! I ran straight for a cleaning closet and locked the door behind me and sunk to the floor of it. I felt my veins stinging towards my shoulder then, edging it's way towards my heart and crystal. I widened my eyes and reached for my chest, going for my crystal to save it before it gets poisoned. I heard him snarl right outside before he kicked the door in and snatched me out from in the closet, glaring at me as his red eyes started to glow a bloody red. "Lyle," he hissed at me.

"I can't!" I told him and started to cry. "Silas, you're scaring me," I mumbled and looked up at him. "You're not well!"

"I'm perfectly well," he told me and narrowed his eyes. "I'm trying to make you stronger- to keep you safe." I shook my head and reached for my chest again and reached in for my crystal. I groaned out in pain as I caught it. I can't get poisoned like him. That'll give the others more trouble to deal with. He narrowed his eyes then and grabbed my arm, forcing me to keep my hand in my chest. I heard a small giggle behind me before my body went limp and my legs gave out, the only thing keeping me up was Silas.

"S-Silas," I whispered. No..... Esther! Why didn't Everest put her in the holy water!? I started to cry then. Silas purred and gently made me take my hand out of my chest without removing my crystal then kissed my cheek as he lowered me to the ground. Esther ran up to him and tackled him, giving him a kiss.

"You came for me brother," she purred out sweetly and gave him a cute look. He smiled at her then kissed her cheek.

"Of course I did," he told her and wrapped her up in his arms. "I couldn't let you stay there. You belong here... with our family." She giggled and then looked towards his neck with a hungry look and bit into it, starting to drink from him. Silas groaned slightly but ran his fingers through her hair. "Did you give Everest some of your blood?"

"Mhm," she hummed softly as she drank from him, a loud purr escaping her. No! No! Everest! I started to cry then. I had three days. I should have made better plans than this. I didn't realize he'd be so hard to get to cooperate. I groaned out in pain as my crystal started to sting.

"Silas," I mumbled. "Milo!" Esther pulled back from Silas's neck to look at me and giggled.

"Everest locked Milo in the pantry to hide him from me," she told me and gave me a sweet look, her eyes flashing red. "We'll get him out soon, don't worry big brother~"

"MILO RUN!" I yelled, my heart racing. I whimpered in pain as I felt my crystal darkening with the poisoned blood. I felt my throat beginning to dry up.

"Shhh, it's okay," Silas told me then walked up, kneeling beside me. "He's safe here," he purred then looked me over. "You must be starting to feel starved. I can see it on your face...." He bit into his wrist then pushed it against my lips, his blood dripping into my mouth. I gasped and moaned a little as his blood tingled my taste buds. I couldn't help but to start swallowing it. I groaned as I felt my body ache all over. This isn't good.... but it's so good. He gave a little confident smirk as he watched me downing his blood then leaned in and kissed my cheek. "You'll be strong soon~"
