Rei's POV:
I moaned as the sun's rays touched my skin and I pushed the binoculars up to my eyes and looked through them, catching a dolphin jumping in action through them. "Marvelous," I whispered. "Simply marvelous...." I scanned the horizon then and looked directly at the sun, watching it set. I pulled the binoculars away from my face and purred. I rubbed my bare bottom as I walked up to the edge of the boat. "Captain!" I yelled out to him. "Throw the anchor, I'm going for a swim!" I announced. I heard him saying something like aye. I walked up to the edge of the boat and was about to set the binoculars down when something appeared at the horizon. I pushed them up to my eyes and glanced at it. I found an old rust boat in my sights. "Someone get me my clothes!" I ordered. "Captain! To the horizon! Follow that boat!" I yelled.
"What?" He asked me. "You just told me to drop the blood anchor and now you want me to pick up speed to reach that beast way over yander?" He asked.
"Isn't that what I just said?" I asked him and sat the binoculars down and started for the shade of the indoors and down to my cabin I was sharing with my husband. "Never mind! I'll get my own clothes!" I announced. I needed to check on him. I walked into the master suit and purred. He was sprawled out on the bed on his stomach, hugging his pillow tightly as he tugged the covers closer to his body and then started to open his eyes at the sound of me coming in. He looked towards me and purred as he saw me, a small smile forming on his face as he gave me a sweet look.
"Good evening," he purred to me and then looked towards his clothes that had been shredded and thrown in the floor. He started to reach for his boxers, seeing they weren't quite torn and were in good shape, keeping himself under the covers teasingly as he leaned over the bed.
"Good evening," I purred. "Get dressed." I started for the closet and went inside. I slipped on one of my kimonos as well as a pair of boxers and went back out to him. "Meet me on the deck," I rushed and purred to him as I started for the deck quickly in excitement. I heard him laugh a little.
"Alright sweetie!" He called out after me and I heard him getting up from the bed to get ready to meet me upstairs. I sat down at a table that the servants were setting up. The sushi I made, the hot tea, and the bottled blood was being placed in front of me. I grabbed a pair of chopsticks and quickly snatched up a bite of sushi and ate it. He came up when the sun had completely extinguished on the waterline, going out like a candle after sending sparkles off the water. He walked up to me dressed in a white button up shirt that was made of a soft fabric. He had left the top part unbuttoned, showing off his chest a bit that had a few love bites on it and was wearing a pair of black pants with his black butler belt he loved so much. He smiled at me and sat down in front of me, grabbing the chopsticks and then started to eat some of the sushi.
"Guess where we're headed," I purred and motioned for a servant to get me the binoculars. "Oh and guess what! We were right by a pod of dolphins earlier." He smiled at me and laughed.
"Were we? I bet they were cute," he purred to me, looking interested as the maid brought me the binoculars. "I'm going to guess Florida," he purred teasingly at me, jokingly. "We've sailed all the way around to the other side of the United States."
"No," I purred. "We're headed straight for an abandoned ship. I could tell by it's color. It's a ghost ship. This is going to be exciting. I want to explore it." He laughed then.
"A ghost ship? I bet you're enjoying that," he teased me and then ate another bite of sushi before he looked towards the tea and took a sip of it. I grabbed my tea and started to slurp it down, pleased with the taste. He moaned softly at the taste and then looked towards me, gently setting his tea down and then ate another bite of sushi. I watched him and smirked as I sat my tea down and opened up a bottle of blood and started to drink it. He smiled at me and then playfully nudged my foot under the table with his before he looked towards the tea sweetly.
"You know... I used to slurp blood and other drinks when I was little," he mumbled. "Mother used to scold me for it, and my tutor used to smack my knuckles with a ruler when I would slurp at the table when she was trying to teach my brother's and I table manners...."
"Well it's a compliment to the chief here if you slurp," I told him and purred.
"I think I heard that before," he told me and laughed. "Maybe you mentioned it once," he told me and smiled at me. "I guess I was your mate even back when I was a little child learning the style of manners for my country. I couldn't wrap my head around not slurping when I was younger," he told me and laughed. "They eventually got me to stop after my hand got smacked so many times." He purred softly and picked up his tea then laughed, looking towards me. "So when you slurp your own tea, you're complimenting yourself?" He purred at me as he raised his teacup up to his lips.
"Sure," I purred at him and smiled. "You could say that.... but what I really enjoy is slurping ramen." He laughed and his face lit up.
"We should have ramen soon," he purred to me sweetly. "It sounds so good~ Do we have the stuff for it on the ship?" He asked curiously, leaning forward a bit as his teacup became forgotten.
"We do," I purred. "I stocked up sweetie." I laughed and then looked out to where we were headed, seeing the ghost ship was coming closer. Silas glanced towards it then looked back to his teacup, taking a sip of it but this time slurped it. I purred as I heard him slurping. I looked towards him and bit my bottom lip. I heard the crew working the deck quickly from captain's orders. He gave me a loving smile and then ate another bite of the sushi before looking towards the ghost ship with curiosity.
"I wonder what we'll find out there," he hummed out thoughtfully as he ran his fingers against the handle of the teacup after sitting it down. "Maybe we'll find some really cool thing out there... and we can bring it back with us~"
"What ever is on it, it's probably more fun to explore it than actually go looking for something to be on it." I purred to him. He nodded and smiled towards me.
"That's very true," he purred then reached across the table, gently taking my hand in his and rubbing his thumb over my knuckles. "I love you Rei," he told me, looking into my eyes and then smiled, leaning across the table and kissing me. "You're going to have me learning all kinds of new things, aren't you? I'll go home and my brothers will be shocked when they see me again." He smirked a bit and then stole another piece of sushi as he sat back down and held my hand.
"I love you too," I purred to him and smiled sweetly. He's all I could ever ask for. He's so powerful I know he can keep Kai in his place as well. Fate chose him well for me but I'm still clouded on where she wanted us to rule. In Japan or in his country.... He smiled towards me and then pulled my hand to his lips and gave it a kiss to tease me before he took another sip of his tea and purred happily.
"So I was thinking~ Maybe we could divide the rule? We could do it by ruling maybe in my land for a few years or one and then go back to Japan and do the same, alternating between the two. If you don't like that, we could rule in Japan and I could rule my land from Japan with you, and for vacation and holidays, we could visit my family in the Rosario castle," he suggested to me.
"We could divide where we rule," I told him sweetly. "It would be knew for me to leave my country- I've only been to the council meetings vaguely and I only know of Japan and China... so It would be an adventure." He smiled hugely then.
"I think we should do it in year intervals... and when you want children... we could move to the second idea until they can help raise each other or they're old enough to travel more and move from place to place," he told me and smiled. "Besides, in my land there are more frequent cradle robbings. I'd rather them be safer if I can get them safer. I think that's the best idea... to split the rule by going between the two each year and then stay in Japan when we have babies to take care of... or a pregnancy."
"Well we still have Kai to worry about," I whispered. "He'd be furious.... Japan might not be as safe as you think it is." I frowned as I thought about what horrors Kai could be planning.
"Well... we could keep the pregnancy a secret," he whispered. "Or we could have some of my brothers and fledglings stay with us for extra protection unless you want to stay in my land for the pregnancy and raising of them but they wouldn't be able to see Japan until they're older, and we'd risk the cradle robbers... and my brother Sylar.... We could always try to get a vacation home too that no one knows about and disappear off the map almost entirely except for letting our family know and our fledglings.... We could do that and raise them somewhere safe away from most of the threats, but we'd risk them growing up too sheltered.... My land might be the best place though honestly. I don't trust Kai... and my brothers would catch Sylar if he tried anything... not to mention there are werewolves protecting my castle as well."
"How about.... we rule at Hawaii. We put Lyle in charge while we have our children there. Only us would know about where we're staying while we have our children. Lyle is well trusted after all with overseeing everything while we're away. Hawaii is a wonderful set of islands too. Please my love?" I asked and purred. He shifted in his seat as he considered it then nodded.
"It's very pretty, and they'd learn a lot," he said softly then nodded with a huge smile. "We'll have our children there and buy a vacation home. When we come back, we'll switch between the two lands," he purred. "I think Hawaii would be a good idea anyways. The kids would love it... and we could skinny dip at night if we wanted to sneak around the island," he told me and laughed.
"Sounds like a plan," I purred and looked to the side, seeing the servants tying the yacht to the ghost ship. They locked a ladder to both side railings before going aboard to test the ladder for us. Silas looked towards them in interest and ate the last piece of sushi quickly, a look of excitement entering his eyes as he saw that we might be going on it in a few seconds. He looked towards me and grinned then looked back at the boat, bouncing a bit in his seat.
"This is going to be so fun~!" He said happily and then gave my hand a squeeze. The servants made it up the ladder then one came back to us.
"It's sturdy," the servant confirmed and bowed our way. I got to my feet and grabbed Silas's hand before pulling him over to the ladder. "Watch your footing," the servant warned. Silas nodded and gave a smile.
"Thank you so much," he told him and grinned before he looked at me. "You can go first. You spotted the ship," he purred to me, leading me up to the ladder and let my hand go. I purred as I climbed up it and took the hand of the other servant, letting her help me aboard. She gave me a sweet smile and looked back to help Silas. I waited on Silas with excitement. He followed me onto the ship, taking it slow so he wouldn't fall and looked down towards the sea before he took her hand and gave her a kind smile. He got onto the ship safely and then nodded to her before he snatched my hand and laughed, starting to pull me along. "Let's go check it out~!" He told me happily. I nodded and pulled him straight to the double doors that practically beckoned us. I threw them open and headed through the hall, awing at the hall. He looked around and smiled, looking around it as he gave my hand a squeeze then let go, laughing. He ran up to a door and opened it, revealing a captain's office. He went in and started to explore in there, purring. I followed after him, looking at the old desk and ran my fingers across it before picking up some of the papers and looked them over. It looked like the ship had been on a cruise with some luxury passengers, but a disease struck and then they became lost at sea... the ones who survived the disease died of dehydration and starvation. Silas looked over the books on the shelves in interest then sat down in the captain's seat. "Ahoy mateys," he said playfully towards me and winked.
"The poor souls here died," I muttered and handed him the papers, sure I'd find their bodies down below somewhere, tucked away in their beds decaying. He frowned a little and looked towards the papers, reading them over before he sat them down.
"So there might actually be ghosts on this ship," he whispered. "Poor things couldn't find their way anymore...." He got to his feet, getting out of the captain's seat then walked up to me, taking my hand. "I think we should move a bit carefully incase we come across their corpses. We don't want to disturb the dead," he told me and looked around worriedly. "That wouldn't bode well...."
"Have you ever heard of soul collectors? They'll reap ships much like this one. A whole mountain of souls then bring people here and kill them just as they killed the people on the ship. We better be extremely careful because ships like this is a whole hoard of lost souls." I teased, scaring him. He shivered and clung to me, wrapping his arms around one of mine and leaned his head against my shoulder, looking around.
"Like Emile? Except employed?" He asked me, sounding nervous.
"No, nothing like a reaper. They collect and hoard souls like dragons with gold." I purred. "When they get a precise amount, they send the souls to the devil as a offering." He shivered again and looked up towards me.
"Please tell me you're kidding," he begged, frightened. "That's awful!" I laughed and shook my head.
"If I was kidding," I began and started for him. "I would have already told you." He yelped and let go of me, moving away then started to rub his arm.
"C-can we go back to where it's safe then?" He asked me and bit his bottom lip. "What if we're found and we die? I mean, I'm not a coward, but it's our honeymoon, and I don't want one of us to be caught."
"Scardy cat," I teased him. "Come on and let's go explore." He frowned a little and then took my hand, giving it a tight squeeze.
"F-fine," he whispered, moving really close to me. I laughed and pulled him into the hall and further down it.
"Aw, I'm just messing with you. I saw it in a movie." I purred in amusement. He narrowed his eyes then and growled at me.
"What the heck?!" He let go of my hand then and frowned. "You really made me think that something could snatch our souls and sell them to the devil!" I laughed towards him.
"You should have seen your face~" I mused. He frowned and then crossed his arms.
"You know... no sex tonight, but I will explore the rest of this ship," he told me then looked around with interest.
"Oh you know you enjoyed the thrill," I teased him and grabbed his hand. He blushed and looked up towards me before he squeezed my hand and bit his bottom lip. He nodded after a few seconds and then laughed.
"Yeah, a little," he told me and smiled hugely. "Aww, I can't stay mad at you," he purred and leaned in, giving me a kiss. I kissed him back before pulling him deeper into the ship, feeling the rocking of it against the waves. He laughed as he explored it with me, following me through the halls and rooms of the ship until we finally came across a room where a rotting corpse was laying with an empty bottle of water, it's bony hands clinging to it. Silas tensed and looked towards it then looked away before he started to pull me towards another door to get out of the room. I looked at the corpse curiously before following him.
"So can we still have sex?" I asked. He blushed a bit then looked at me.
"Yeah," he told me and then smiled. "We can," he purred and gave my hand a squeeze. "Why? Are you feeling up to it again?"
"I was just making sure," I purred and clung to his arm. He purred back to me and kissed my cheek.
"Of course we can," he told me and smiled. "I don't mind." He laughed and took me into another room then paused when we found a mass grave of humans. I looked the humans over and wrapped an arm around him, rubbing his back.
"They didn't dump the dead into the sea?" I asked and wrinkled up my nose.
"No... I think this is where they holed everyone up to make sure that everyone was accounted for while they were starving. It'd make sense to try to ration what they had and give it out to them in one whole area... and make sure no one tried to steal the food," he whispered. "If everyone died and became too weak to function, it'd make sense that they couldn't put their dead into the sea...." He frowned as he noticed a child's body nearby and shook his head sadly. I frowned and walked up to the child, looking at the teddy bear the child clung to. "That's awful," he whispered, walking up to my side. "The poor little thing... stuck on a ship with dying people and starving to death with unbearable thirst surrounded by water that's undrinkable."
"Surprised they didn't resort to cannibalism," I snorted out and looked away from the foul sight.
"Some might've... but they would've hid them I think," he whispered. "They wouldn't want to be eaten... those that refused to eat each other."
"You do what you have to, to survive. Like in the artic.... People cut into dead animals and climb inside them to get out of the cold weather. This is no different. Let's go find the locked up cannibals, shall we?" I asked him and held out my arm. He smiled and walked up, taking my arm and then kissed my shoulder.
"Yeah, we can go find them if you want," he told me and started to look around. "Let's try that door," he told me, leading me over to a door that lead off the room. I pulled him towards it in excitement. He laughed and walked through it with me, leading me to another hall and then down towards a door locked with chains. He grabbed the chains and snapped them in his hands then kicked the door open, revealing a corpse picked clean and a female corpse in the corner, blood all over her mouth. She had definitely died later than the others. She had a few wounds on her from the other cannibal, but it wasn't enough to have killed her. She had won the battle. I looked over her body and snuck my hand down into Silas's pocket. He jumped at first then purred to me, looking up into my eyes before he gave me a playful look and kissed my neck and slipped a hand into my kimono, holding it against my chest. I blushed and kissed him back before pulling him away from the cannibal corpses and off to something new. He smiled happily as we wandered around the ship, finding a grand ballroom for their lavish parties they had before devastation struck them. He laughed and looked around the room before he pulled away and started to explore the room, looking over the gold colored decorated walls. I spun around in the room, laughing.
"What if they had a pool on this ship? They could have drunk from it." I looked towards him. "The idiots."
"If they had a pool, it might've been chlorinated," he pointed out.
"Well it's better than salt water," I purred. He shrugged then and walked up to me, grabbing my hands.
"Dance with me?" He purred at me. I laughed and nodded.
"Yes, let's dance." I pulled him closer to me. He smiled and then started to lead me, purring happily then widened his eyes when we could faintly hear music playing, a waltz. I pulled back quickly and looked around curiously. It sounded like an echo back to the time in which they had lived on this boat, but I couldn't see what was making the noise, the sound coming from all sides and places as it echoed through the room quietly, slowly getting louder.
"Sounds like the dead is awake," I purred. Silas tilted his head and smiled then.
"It does," he told me and then looked around. "It really is a ghost ship," he purred to me and then kissed my cheek. "We'll have such a great story to tell~" I laughed and nodded in agreement. I started back to dancing with him. He purred happily and waltzed with me to the music of the dead souls lost on this ship, gracefully leading me. I leaned in and kissed him softly as we spun around on the dance floor. He laughed and then leaned in towards my neck. He bit into it gently and then marked me, pleased with the dance. I moaned softly and pulled his body tightly to me. He purred to me and started to drink from me then before he pulled his fangs out and licked his lips as he changed our direction on the dance floor. He smiled up at me and then kissed my lips happily. I purred with delight before pulling away from the dance and bowed slightly.
"My lover, I think we aught to continue our tour." He smiled sweetly and nodded.
"Okay, we can," he told me and took my hand in his, starting to lead me through the ship again, exploring the rooms with me and the halls. After awhile, I heard a small creak behind us then something red darted under my foot and tackled it, quickly getting larger to the size of about a German Shepard and started to bite my ankle, drawing blood. Silas widened his eyes as he looked down, and Mushu snarled, tackling Silas quickly and going for his crystal. He began to shriek and tried to throw the dragon off, crying out in a panic as arms wrapped around my waist and someone purred in my ear.
"Hello~ I didn't expect to find you out here on the ocean~" Kai purred in my ear, watching from behind me as Mushu tried to kill my mate. I widened my eyes and tried to get out of Kai's arms to go help Silas escape from Mushu.
"Silas!" I yelled in panic. He laughed a bit and then looked towards Mushu.
"Make sure to kill him Mushu," he purred towards his dragon. "I want him dead. We'll be taking Rei back with us this time as well. We aren't in Japan after all~ He'll be so broken after that white haired brat is out of my way." Mushu growled in response and fiercely bit into Silas's neck, making him shriek as he fell back in pain. The dragon started to claw into his chest as he tore a chunk out of Silas, making him cry out. I let out a scream of horror and struggled in Kai's arms.
"No! Don't kill him!" I begged Mushu.
"Good boy~" Kai purred happily and smiled. "I'll reward you when we get home," he promised him, watching as Silas became almost helpless against the dragon, his blood draining out onto the floor as Mushu neared his crystal. I threw my weight back against Kai's chest, knocking us over and slipped out of his arms and started for Mushu with a growl.
"STAY AWAY FROM MY MATE!" I growled. He snarled towards me and breathed out a puff of fire in my direction, lighting the edge of my kimono on fire at my feet then returned his attention to Silas who weakly exposed his fangs. The dragon cackled at him and then went back to trying to get his crystal as Silas pushed at him and then gave up, sinking his fangs into the dragon's neck, managing to get past his hard scales. The dragon snarled quickly and tore at Silas's throat again. I patted out the fire on me before tackling Mushu off my mate. He hissed at me and quickly bit my hand then reared up in anger as Kai started to recover. Kai narrowed his eyes and walked over, snatching my hair and then started to drag me away from them, clicking his tongue in irritation.
"Mushu, you better finish Silas off... or bring me his crystal," he ordered, dragging me out of sight by my hair. I cried out in pain and grabbed at Kai's hands.
"Stop! That hurts! Mushu please don't kill him!" I begged. Kai growled at me and gave a sharp tug on my hair before he yanked me to my feet and pinned me against a wall. He leaned in and bit into my neck, starting to drain me to make me weaker. I squirmed against him and exposed my fangs, going to bite him back. I sunk my teeth into his shoulder. He growled and then ripped out a chunk of my flesh, spitting it out then looked at me as he yanked my head away from his shoulder.
"You shouldn't have ever left me," he hissed at me. "I'll make your life miserable. You made me have to kill that boy Rei, and I'll make sure I do it in front of you so that you learn your lesson," he told me then gripped my arms tightly, his fingers digging into my skin as he glared at me. "Rei, you are the worst lover ever. You're lucky I won't kill you for betraying me."
"I'm not your lover," I hissed at him and brought my knee up to hit him between his legs. "I'm Silas's mate! It's more powerful than you could imagine." He growled as he managed to stop me before I could hit him then dug his nails into my skin before he started to drag me down the hall.
"You're coming home," he hissed at me. "You're deluded by the legends!" I heard Silas let out a shriek from further down the hall but it was cut short, the scent of his blood hitting me quickly. I widened my eyes in fear, looking in the direction he was. I felt my heart skip a beat then.
"Silas!" I yelled quickly. I suddenly could see Mushu running towards us, a crystal between his teeth as he looked proud with his catch. Kai stopped moving and purred as he saw Mushu as his dragon turned smaller and crawled up him, getting into his pocket with a loving purr. He reached into his pocket and pulled out Silas's crystal then shoved me back from him, placing it in the palm of his hand and curled his fingers around it tightly, going to crush it. I snarled in rage and went for his hand to take it from him. He looked towards me and stopped, holding it out of my reach then glared me down before he smacked me.
"This is for your own good," he hissed at me then narrowed his eyes at me. "Sit obediently, and I won't punish you too badly when we get home." I widened my eyes and rubbed my cheek. I glared him down quickly and tackled him to the ground, wrapping my sharp nails around his throat and dug in.
"You crush him and I'll never leave your shadows- your dreams will be nightmares and every night will be a waking misery." He narrowed his eyes at me and then shoved me off him.
"Fine, if you're going to be that way, I'll make it far worse for him," he hissed at me and then looked towards Silas's crystal before he put it in his mouth, going to swallow him. I widened my eyes as I watched him but decided I'd wait until he was asleep to get Silas back. He swallowed and then got to his feet, rubbing his throat before he narrowed his eyes at me and grabbed my wrist, yanking me to my feet. "Get up," he hissed at me. I yanked away from him and avoided eye contact with him. He narrowed his eyes then grabbed my wrist again, starting to pull me down the halls as he stayed silent, his jaw clenched. I yanked back from his hand but remained following him. He glanced towards me then pulled Mushu out of his pocket and put his dragon on his shoulder, rubbing his head as he lead us out onto the deck. Mushu leapt down quickly, changing to his full size to allow us to ride him. "Get on," Kai ordered, looking at me. I glared him down before slipping my leg over Mushu and sat down on his body. Kai got on behind me and rubbed Mushu's side. "Okay boy," he purred. "We're ready. I think I'll give you some nice honey when we get home as your reward," he told his dragon, laughing softly as his dragon purred with delight and took off into the air quickly, starting to fly us back to China. I sulked on the way there, dreading seeing my children. "The kids have missed you," he purred in my ear, wrapping his arms around me again and pulling me back into him. He kissed my neck then. "They'll be overjoyed to see their mother has returned."
"I won't be overjoyed to see them," I hissed through my clenched jaw. I touched the ring on my finger then and tilted my head to where I hid my neck from him.
"Well, we'll have new children too, and I'm sure your motherly instincts will kick back in for them once you've given me about three more," he told me and laughed. I wrinkled my nose up.
"I'm not having anymore with you. They're little devils."
"You'll have more," he purred towards me confidently.
"No," I hissed.
"Yes, you will. You'll want to," he purred and then rubbed my stomach before he purred in my ear and started to sneak his hand downwards. I widened my eyes and shoved him back quickly, making him slip off Mushu. He yelped as he fell off and called out for Mushu quickly as he fell towards the ocean. His dragon responded quickly, catching him then placed him back where he had been sitting. Kai hissed at me then and exposed his fangs at me. "You little bitch," he hissed.
"Those parts are reserved," I hissed at him and exposed my fangs.
"They better be reserved for me," he hissed back and narrowed his eyes. "Your little boy toy will be dead in the next couple of hours! He's dying a slow agonizing death," he hissed and then gripped my wrists. "You knew better than to even try mating with someone else because you belong to me! You still belong to me! You'll give me kids whether you like it or not, and you will learn to love me again," he snarled. I looked him over and frowned.
"I'm not having children with you again. You're a pathetic loser. You couldn't even win the role of becoming my soul mate. You're probably mated to a pig!" I snarled. "That's all you are is a swine." He narrowed his eyes at me as they filled with rage and he dug his nails into my wrist, making them bleed as sparks of pain went through me.
"Rei," he hissed in anger and then gave me a deadly look. "You better be quiet right now. I won't have you talking back to me like that."
"Kai, you don't tell me what to do. I'm a king!" I pulled my hands away from him quickly. He narrowed his eyes at me and then snatched me, yanking me back into him then bit into my neck viciously. I screamed out in pain and closed my eyes tightly. I could feel my heart start to pound in my chest. "You can't bite me without permission!" I hissed. He didn't respond to me and started to drain me quickly, holding me down. I squirmed under him, already tired from the loss of blood from before. I dug my nails down into his sides quickly. He ignored it and drained me to the point where my vision began to blur and I could barely feel my body. He held me against him and started for my chest, reaching into it as his hand dug into it then gripped my crystal. I felt my fingers twitch as I wanted to stop him. He held my crystal for a few minutes then let it go, taking his hand away from it as he continued to hold me, looking out to the sea as we neared China. I felt my eyes heaving anyways as my crystal drew its roots closer. I felt Mushu land after about another ten minutes, and Kai picked me up, carrying me inside. He looked towards a servant as he entered.
"Feed Mushu some honey and some ramen," he ordered as Mushu came running in as a human, looking excited for his treat. He carried me up a familiar flight of stairs and into the bedroom we had once shared, taking me over to the bed and laying me down into it. He started to strip me then, taking care not to rip my clothes or damage them. I held onto my kimono with as much strength as I could bare, not wanting it off of me. He stopped and then grabbed my hands, purring to me comfortingly as he rubbed them. I snatched my hands away from him in anger and gripped my kimono. He frowned down at me and then grabbed a pair of handcuffs, starting to chain me up to the headboard as he forced my hands away from my kimono. I yanked on the handcuffs, my heart starting to race again in fear. I felt my crystal giving out and forcing the roots closer in and making my eyes heavier as I was starting to loose consciousness. I managed to feel him removing my kimono before I fell asleep from my crystal....
I woke up in someone's arms, my wrists freed from the cuffs but sore from having been in them. I felt around quickly for my kimono and started to squirm in panic. "Shh, I didn't do anything to you yet," Kai told me as he noticed I had woken up. "You still have your boxers on."
"Where's my kimono?" I asked quickly.
"Being cleaned. It had blood all over it," he replied calmly.
"Why didn't you give me more clothes?" I asked.
"Because I didn't want to," he hummed out. "You're going to get used to being exposed to me for awhile." I looked up to him before I leaned in towards his body to hear for Silas. He's not dead yet is he? What if I didn't wake up in enough time? I could hear him barely, his crystal still weakly fighting on to survive Kai who's crystal was working to destroy him and absorb him. I looked up for the handcuffs then, to see if they were still lingering against the headboard. I glanced away when I found them gone then sat up quickly and got out of bed. My head pounded in pain from my movement and I almost fell over, lucky to catch my balance. I heard a bottle of blood crack open then and Kai got up, walking over to me then slipped it into my hands. "Drink. You're not going to survive very long if you don't." I drunk the blood fast, moaning at the taste as it slipped down my throat. He started to open another one for me, giving me a concerned look. I snatched it as I finished the first and tossed it. I sucked down the second and looked for another one. He raised an eyebrow and handed me another. I could see about two more on my nightstand waiting just in case. I started to drink the third, walking over to the other two and took them as well, wanting to revive my body as much as possible before taking him on. Kai watched me for a few seconds before he started to walk towards his bathroom, turning on the water to the tub in it. I watched him as I finished off the fifth one. He was stripping as the tub filled with steaming water then slipped his body into it, looking delighted at the warmth.
"I'm still hungry Kai. I'm going down to the kitchen to get more blood," I told him and headed for the door. More like to get a kitchen knife. There was a guard standing outside the door, checking his phone as he looked bored. He glanced up towards me as I walked out and then raised an eyebrow.
"Do you have to make my job hard?" He asked me and then sighed, putting his phone up. "Great, now I have to follow you around."
"Don't snap an attitude with a king," I hissed at him. "I'll rip your fucking fangs out for this is not a night to be snapping off at me." I snarled. "For I'm very hungry." He frowned at me then.
"That's not my fault," he pointed out towards me. "Just don't attempt running away. I'd hate to have to shoot you like my king instructed." I narrowed my eyes at him before leaving him in my dust as I went straight for the kitchen, knowing the castle well. I just hope I don't run into one of my offspring. The guard followed me quietly, getting back on his phone as we walked into the kitchen where Mushu was ransaking the refrigerator. I looked him over before heading for one of the silverware drawers and pulled it open, yanking out one of the knives that to me always resembled a thin bladed machete. Mushu looked towards me as he heard me moving around and took a bite out of a fish he had found in the fridge.
"Whatcha doing?" He asked me.
"Killing your master," I snarled in outrage. "And don't try to stop me." I yanked out another knife and threw it directly at the guard. He yelped as it hit his heart and fell over, starting to bleed out as his body was giving out quickly. Mushu looked towards the guard calmly then looked towards me.
"You're not killing my master," he told me and took another bite out of the fish.
"Want to help?" I asked him and then shut the drawer and walked up to the guard, taking the knife out of him and started for the door. Mushu followed after me, watching me closely as he ate his fish. I went directly back towards the bedroom and went inside, starting for the bathroom. Mushu tackled me quickly then, going for the knives with a snarl. I rushed a knife into his side before he could transform into a dragon on me and brought the knife downwards, towards his manly parts. He shrieked and fell off me, trying to get away as he couldn't turn into a dragon easily. I could see his nails getting sharper as he tried for his protection. I could hear Kai getting out of the water quickly in alarm. I started for the door quickly and entered the bathroom, throwing a knife towards his stomach. He groaned as he wasn't quick enough to escape and fell over into the floor. He winced and then started to pull the knife out of his stomach.
"What the hell?" He hissed towards me. I rushed to his side and grabbed the knife, shoving it deeper into him and ripped upwards as I reached my other hand into his body and felt around for Silas's crystal. I found it inside him after a few seconds, his crystal pulsing weakly like he was dying. Kai groaned as he fell back into the floor, his blood leaving him quickly from the wound. I yanked the knife out of him and pulled Silas's crystal out. I glared Kai down as I got to my feet and backed away from him.
"Never," I hissed at him. "Come between me and my mate." I growled then. "For I don't play around about who I love." He fought to keep his eyes open as his wounds were slowly closing up. He put a hand over the wound and winced in pain as he fought to stay conscious. "I should crush your crystal," I hissed at him. "But then I'd have to put up with our eldest on the throne. Fuck that. You remember I done this to you and don't come looking for anymore trouble with me." I turned away from him and started for his closet and grabbed one of his trench coats and put it on me. I slipped Silas's crystal into a pocket and started for the bedroom door. I felt Kai grab my ankle weakly as I went to pass him and he hissed towards me threateningly.
"Don't you dare," he whispered. I looked down at him.
"I was wrong about you being mated to a pig," I told him and yanked my ankle away then stomped down on his hand. "I think you'll never have a mate because you don't deserve one." He groaned and quickly pulled his hand back, cradling it to his chest as he blinked, hardly being able to open his eyes again.
"Don't hurt Mushu," he whispered to me quickly. I rolled my eyes and started for Mushu, kneeling down in front of him. I cut my finger on my fang then and forced my finger between his lips. Mushu whimpered and tried to pull away weakly but swallowed some of my blood as it leaked into his mouth. I watched his wound, waiting for it to close. It started to heal after a few seconds and he trembled as he swallowed a bit more of my blood.
"Who's your daddy now?" I asked him as I yanked my finger back. "You remember who got your little stomach there and don't you forget it." He whimpered and curled up on the floor, trembling as he hid his face, frightened. I widened my eyes slightly as I watched him before shushing him and ran my fingers through his hair to soothe him. "It's okay," I whispered. He started to relax a little and I saw his shoulders shaking as he cried softly, holding his stomach. I looked him over before pulling back from him and looked towards Kai. "You take good care of your dragon.... because he's worth it." Kai gave me a thankful look, glancing towards Mushu worriedly as he laid on the bathroom floor.
"I will," he whispered to me. I stood up and buttoned up the cloak before placing the hood up and gagged at the smell of Kai all over it. I felt Silas's crystal pulse a bit in the pocket again, a little stronger than before like he was recovering a bit from Kai, being able to get away. I spun and started for the doors. "Have your maids bring me my kimono when it's done drying!" I yelled to Kai. "That's one of my favorites after all."
"Hell no," I heard Kai growl a bit in the bathroom.
"Then I'll send someone to fetch it," I hissed through my teeth and went for the door. I started walking through it but was struck with a nasty blow in my head, the scent of my youngest entered my nostrils as I fell down, falling unconscious.
~~~
I woke up tied to a chair, chains cutting into my skin tightly. I could smell my two children in the room, talking to each other from the other side of it. "You did a good job catching our mother," I heard my oldest purring. "I think father will be pleased with you for this. He's recovering well, but he finds it hard to move still. He's being fed blood slowly so he doesn't devour too much... and that nasty dragon of his refuses to leave his treasure. It seems we'll have to take over for a bit."
"You really think I did good?" I heard my youngest asking and purring. "All I did was hit him in the head. Why is it mommy was trying to leave?"
"Because when you were just a small baby, mother tried to leave father," the oldest purred towards him. "She's a bad mother, and father brought her back to us. I don't know if father will get better enough to take his throne back for a few weeks though. I'll have to step up and do it." I groaned and rolled my eyes.
"Idiots," I groaned out. "Unchain your mother."
"No," my oldest told me firmly. "I won't.... If you want this back, you'll behave," he told me and pulled Silas's crystal out of his pocket. I widened my eyes.
"Don't you dare destroy that!" I hissed at him.
"Why would I? It's a bargaining chip," he told me calmly then slipped it back into his pocket.
"What in the hell would you want?" I asked him.
"I want you to give me the throne," he purred to me.
"I'm sorry but I put your name right under the devil in my will for who was in line for my throne." I exposed my fangs at him. "You're a disgrace." My son tilted his head up then.
"At least we aren't turning you over to father," he told me and then looked towards my youngest. "Speaking of father, make sure he's is being fed soon again," he purred, gently pushing his brother out of the room. I heard the other agreeing with the order as he left. I struggled against the chains. My oldest walked over to me and smirked.
"You won't be able to really stop me from taking the throne mother. I'm killing father off. He won't be getting better," he told me and knelt down in front of me. "I'll take his throne, and then I'll take yours and become the most powerful king in the east." I burst out laughing and watched him in amusement.
"Oh you will?" I asked him as my mind flickered to Laurence. He frowned at me.
"What?" He asked me innocently then sat in front of me. "Won't you be happy when father is dead?"
"I'll be happy when I'm back on my boat with my lover and continuing our honeymoon," I told him. He watched me and then took out Silas's crystal, playing with it in his hands as he looked it over.
"So this is him huh?"
"Yeah, just think.... you could have been born from him and been our precious little boy. Raised to be adoring and able to take one of our thrones..... but you're a foul seed from Kai. What a pity and waste you are, huh?" I asked him. He frowned and looked up towards me.
"I'm not a waste," he told me softly.
"Look at yourself," I snarled. "You're threatening to murder your parents for something you'll inherit if you just act right. Instead you're more like Kai."
"My father isn't the best father," he told me and then tapped his finger against Silas's crystal. "He hasn't paid us much attention since he discovered that we couldn't walk in the sun. I remember my hand being pushed into the light and it burning as his face darkened with anger and disappointment," he whispered, the look in his eyes becoming distant. "You can't blame me for wanting him gone with how he treats us... how he neglects us and chases after you constantly. I'd much rather have the throne." I chuckled.
"I don't blame you. He's got a cold heart, doesn't he?" I asked and looked at Silas's crystal. "You're better off with him though."
"Why?" He asked me and frowned.
"Because I can't stand the sight of something that resembles him. He's just a monster searching for the perfect genes for his son and my island to take over... He wanted you and he can have you." He looked up at me calmly then.
"He doesn't want us at all," he told me and then looked towards Silas's crystal with interest. "So are you going to have children with him?" He asked curiously.
"Fifteen of them," I purred and smiled. "I want a huge family with him." He laughed then and looked up towards me with delight.
"That sounds great," he told me and then looked towards the door then at Silas's crystal. "Tell you what, I think... I think just because we both hate father... I'll settle for friendly terms between China and Japan," he told me and looked up towards me. "I think that is decent enough... and I guess I don't need your throne. I could find power in another way." I raised an eyebrow at him.
"You think I'm going to let us be friends after you go and kill your father?" I asked him. "I left him alive to watch him suffer."
"I want him dead so I don't have to watch him chase after something he can't have and look at us with that disappointed, hateful look," he told me and narrowed his eyes. "You don't live with him."
"No but I was forced to give him children," I growled.
"Exactly another reason to finish him off while he's weak," he told me. "He'll die quietly too. He could've chosen to love my brother and I, but he didn't. Don't punish me for something my father did to you. China's vampires would do better if Japan was open a bit more to them." I looked him over and frowned.
"Fine, go murder your father." I looked towards my lover's crystal.
"It's just a little poison in his blood he drinks," he hummed out to me. "He won't even notice until it kills his crystal." He got to his feet and then took a key out of his pocket and then walked behind me, unchaining me. I shoved the chains off of me and got to my feet, reaching for the crystal.
"Hand over his crystal," I told him firmly. He nodded and then put Silas's crystal into my hand then gave me a set of car keys. I looked the keys over before heading out of the cell, disgusted that I was in it. I rubbed Silas's crystal to soothe him. He pulsed at my touch, responding to me quickly. I could hear my son following me out, shutting the door behind him. I looked over my shoulder at him before going towards the garage. I'll have to head to a nearby hotel and call Mauri to come get me. He followed me, looking around like he was checking no one could see me. He put his hands into his pocket and frowned a bit as he took in a deep breath. I reached the garage easily and jingled the car keys. "Which one?" I asked him.
"It's the keys to the red car," he told me and pointed towards one in the corner. "It's pretty fast, and I figured you'd want it.... I think it was yours anyways." I looked towards the car and thought it over but couldn't hardly remember owning a car here. I started for it and got in it, cutting my wrist with my nail and placed Silas in the passengers seat. I started to revive him with my blood. His body started to form after a few blood drops and he gasped when his body finished forming and then curled up, a shiver going through him as he brought his knees to his chest. I looked in the back seat then and searched for a blanket before pulling it out of a drawer and gave it to him, making sure to cover him up. He clung to it, looking a bit cold. He looked towards it then around in confusion before he looked towards me and relaxed. He brought the blanket close to him and smiled in relief.
"Rei," he said sweetly, looking towards me happily. I gave him a loving look then before hitting a garage button in the car and backed straight out of the garage.
"Silas," I purred to him. He curled up in his seat and gave me a sweet smile.
"Thank you," he told me and then looked at the blanket, snuggling up to it as he kept his knees against his chest. "My crystal feels a bit funny...."
"You're going to heal," I told him confidently. "But.... Kai is going to die."
"Die?" He asked me and frowned, looking towards me.
"My eldest plans to kill him slowly by poisoning him." He frowned.
"That's... awful... but I guess that makes it safer for you in Japan," he mumbled.
"Yeah," I muttered. "I suppose it will." I ran my fingers through my hair and gave a tired sigh. "I want to just slip away into hiding... I don't ever want to be in another situation like that again."
"We can still go to Hawaii," he promised me and reached over, gently taking my hand in his as he rubbed it lovingly. "I think it would be great~ Especially after this...."
"Maybe we should," I purred. "I'll have the yacht head back to Japan and we'll go to Hawaii." He gave me a sweet smile and leaned over, kissing my cheek.
"Are we going to wait a bit in Hawaii or do you want me to notify my brother Lyle to watch over our thrones?" He asked me softly.
"Let's just wait," I purred to him. He nodded to me.
"Okay, we'll wait," he told me and smiled. "As long as you want to wait." I purred to him and gave him a loving look. After all..... Our honey moon was crashed. I drove the car to a near hotel and used one of the lobby phones to call Mauri and tell her what happened. I instructed her what to do about the yacht and where we were before hanging up and waiting for her to appear. She appeared with clothes for Silas and his ring, only making me very pleased.
"Thank you Mauri," I purred to her.
"I'm just so happy you're okay," she told me sweetly.
"Could you do us a huge favor and take us to Hawaii," I purred to her, keeping my voice low. Her eyes lit up in delight and nodded towards me.
"Oooooh~" She purred. I nodded towards her in amusement. "Okay, I can get you there but don't get mad when it's not to your liking~" She grabbed both our hands and suddenly we were both standing in Hawaii's airport. Silas looked around in excitement and bounced a bit before he started to run off, giggling as he headed for a window and looked outside at Hawaii. He smiled hugely and pressed up against the glass, giggling as he bit his bottom lip in excitement.
"Thanks Mauri," I purred as I let her go.
"You're welcome," she chimed before teleporting away. I always thought it was more like glitching into oblivion. I started for Silas and wrapped my arms around him, leaning into his neck with a small growl to be playful. He tensed up and held back a laugh, looking towards me with a fake fearful look.
"You're not going to devour me, Mr. Vampire? Are you?"
"Only in the bedroom," I husked in his ear. He laughed and then turned around in my arms, kissing my lips passionately before he looked up into my eyes and curled my hair around his finger.
"Only in the bedroom? Well you'll have to trap me first," he teased playfully.
"I won't have to do any chasing though," I warned him. "Because I'll lure you like gold to fish." I locked my fingers with his before pulling him away from the window and to the girls handing out the flowers and saying aloha. He smiled happily as we approached them and gave them a sweet look as they gave us flowers.
"Thank you," he told them and smiled, giving them a nod. He looked at the flowers around his neck in delight and touched them, laughing. "I love Hawaii already~"
"Aloha," I purred back to the girls and looked past them at paradise.
