Chereads / Being The Vampire’s Fledgling / Chapter 29 - A True King

Chapter 29 - A True King

Continuation of Silas's POV:

I went into Lyle's study after I took a deep breath and walked up to the desk.

"Sylar wants to keep the werewolf," I told him and then sat down in front of the desk in a chair.

"Another brother keeping a werewolf in the castle..." Lyle muttered as he was looking over a document with a ink pen in his hand.

"I'll tell him you said okay," I told him and then pulled out my phone, sending a short and simple text to him.

Me: Lyle said you could keep him.

I looked at him and put my phone up after silencing it. "So, you needed something?" I asked, forcing a smile.

"Yes, I'd much prefer it if someone else was standing here with us though. Please call one of our other siblings into the room."

"Uhhhhm," I mumbled and then frowned. What? Does he think I'm going to attack him? I'm not that scary looking right now, right? I sighed and texted Everest to come in here. He was in here in seconds with a huge smile on his face.

"Hi! What's going on?" He asked us then pulled up a chair, sitting down.

"Please stay quiet and observe," Lyle said calmly as his eyes traveled down the document. Everest frowned and got quiet, watching him. I frowned a little. What is he up to? I leaned back in my seat, watching him looking that document over. "Everest you're just here to be a witness," Lyle said calmly as he signed off on the document and stood up. Everest nodded.

"For what?" He asked curiously.

"For this," Lyle turned the document to my direction and held out the pen to me. "Silas~ Please sign." What the hell am I signing?! I slowly took it, giving him a weird look then started to read it. "It says you're going to be king as soon as you sign off," Lyle told me as he watched my eyes. "I'm handing the kingdom off to you."

"WHAT?!" I asked him and dropped it then caught it quickly. "What the hell do you mean?! You're king!" I told him quickly.

"Yes, and I'll remain king if you don't sign." He told me and pulled out a sword from under the desk.

"WHY THE HECK ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME KING?!" I asked him and stared at him wide eyed. What the hell?! He loves being king!

"I promised our father that if you were deemed worthy of the crown I'd sign it off to you and I promised you that as well." He gave me a promising look as he rested the sword on the desk. "Everest is here to witness." Everest stared at us with wide eyes. I looked at him then at Lyle again.

"I'm not right for it," I told him quickly. "Nuh-uh, I've done way too many things, and I wouldn't be able to do this as well as you can," I told him, going to hand him back the papers. "It's your crown brother."

"I've already signed Silas. I want you to be king now." Lyle gave me a serious look as he held his hands to his sides, not taking the document from me. I frowned at him.

"Lyle, I don't want the crown," I told him firmly. "I'm happy right now. You're happy with the throne. Do I have to threaten to bite someone so you can say I'm not ready for the crown?"

"Silas, we both know you're ready for the crown." Lyle gave a pleased look. "I'm getting old. I'm almost thirty. I have a mate as well as a fledgling to take better care of. You on the other hand have showed to me you're ready to be king. You've passed my test. I've signed my throne over to you. You'll be crowned at our next ball. You'll start going to the council meetings." He ran his fingers across the sword then and flipped it to reveal our father's name on it. "He told me to give this to you when I knew you was ready." I narrowed my eyes a little.

"Nuh-uh, we made a deal years ago," I told him firmly. "This isn't the deal we made. I said that when I got the crown, we'd rule together," I reminded him. "If I sign this, you're ruling with me still," I told him. "No offence, but Milo gets enough time with you with how clingy he is, and I'm not going to have children either more than likely. You, who has a fledgling for a lover- and yes, I know they can't have kids- has more chance of having them than me," I told him firmly.

"No, I told you that I would give you the crown when you deamed yourself worthy of it. Don't fight with me. They'll find out eventually... I can't always get away with the tests Silas." I frowned at him.

"But you love being king," I whispered.

"I love being your brother." He smiled sweetly towards me. "It wasn't about the crown for me. It was about doing what was right and holding the spot until you were ready."

"Lyle," I mumbled. I don't think I'm ready.... I still bite Sylar without asking officially... and on top of that, I slept with my own brother last night! W-well... he has that werewolf now.... I bit my bottom lip and looked at the paper then at him. "Are you sure? I don't mind if you keep the crown Lyle.... It's not as important to me anymore."

"That's why I want to give it to you," he purred. "You're a true king now. You're trustworthy to me now. You confessed everything to me. You killed our parent's murderers. You've done everything to prove to me you're ready. I'm positive you don't hold anything against me anymore. We're still brothers. We're not fighting. I feel comfortable to hand it to you. It's your birthright." I frowned at him. Just because it's my birthright doesn't mean anything.

"F-fine," I mumbled. "I'll sign it... but you're going to help me for the first year with the duties and you're going to be my advisor after that." He purred calmly.

"You don't need me beside you holding your hand." He looked towards Everest then. "By being a witness here, you're going to be holding onto the document." Everest nodded and smiled.

"Okay Lyle," he said happily.

"B-but Lyle," I mumbled, looking at him. "I want your opinion on decisions and whatnot.... You can have a honeymoon and vacation when you marry Milo, promise."

"Silas, you were right beside me when father taught us everything he knew. You're going to be a fine king." Lyle walked around the desk then and kissed my cheek. "Go ahead and sign your name, the kingdom is yours now." I frowned at him and sighed. He really wants out of being king.... I watched him and looked at the paper. I don't really want all this responsibility right now... but I guess I'll do it for Lyle.

"I'm only doing it for you," I told him and sighed. "So you can have a relaxing time," I mumbled and started to sign my name on the line. He walked away from me then and started for the door calmly. I frowned and watched him go. Damn Lyle, already leaving. I sighed and then handed the paper to Everest.

"I'll put this in a safe place," he promised me then disappeared. I looked towards Lyle.

"Going to Milo so soon?" I teased lightly and stood up.

"No, I'm going to our secret place." He said calmly. "I want to go check on the fish and smell the flowers." I sighed and then nodded.

"Okay," I whispered. Guess I'm the one authorizing Sylar's werewolf now.... I leaned against the desk and watched him go before I pulled out my phone and thought about calling Sylar to tell him the news then stopped. No... I shouldn't tell him. He's busy with that wolf. I frowned and then sat down on a couch and curled up. Maybe I should leave Sylar alone from now on.... He'd move on with the werewolf more than likely... and I could always find a mate that I could actually have children with.

"Oh and King Silas, you should do something with the rats in the basement." Lyle told me calmly by the door. "That's just my opinion though." I looked towards him and nodded.

"Yeah, I'll figure something out with them," I told him and then leaned my head back on the couch. "I'll have a solution soon...." I could just execute them... or I could make them spies for me... or I could simply turn them loose with a pardon, but that would look bad on my part. I'd be turning my former comrades loose. I watched him as he left and then got to my feet. I looked towards the sword and picked it up, looking it over before I smiled. Father's sword huh? I should go put it in a safe place....

~Time Skip~

I walked up to Sylar's room to tell him he could keep the werewolf, knowing he was probably upstairs with Colsin. I knocked on his door lightly and took a deep breath. This is probably for the best.... He opened the door slowly and then tackled me into a hug. "There you are~ I've been lonely. Colsin left me to go back to his pack. He's a cutie though isn't he??" He asked. "I don't want to keep him though, that's what I decided. Keeping him is something I don't want to do. I don't enslave others- besides you. You're all mine." He pinched my cheek then. I blushed then. C-crap....

"A-alright," I told him and then hugged him. "So... I need to tell you something," I mumbled. He nodded as he looked me over.

"Yeah?" He asked me.

"Lyle handed the throne over to me about an hour ago," I whispered. "I'm being officially crowned at the next ball."

"He handed down the crown to you?" Sylar asked with confusion. "But I thought that's what he tried so hard to keep from you... He waited until you finally stopped fighting him for it?" He moved away from me. "That doesn't sound like Lyle. I thought he'd be king until he died."

"No... it's a big explanation, but he wants a break... and he thinks I can handle being king," I told him, covering up that he was only our adopted brother. "He didn't think I could before because I constantly bit people and hunted humans."

"You've proven yourself though," he purred to me. "Wow, am I supposed to call you king Silas now?"

"N-no, just Silas," I told him and blushed. "You can keep calling me Silas."

"Okay~" He purred and gave me a loving look. "I'll find it hard to believe you're king now Silas." He walked into his bedroom and crawled into his bed. I watched him then walked in, shutting the door behind me.

"I tried not to take it," I mumbled and then walked over, sitting down on the edge of his bed.

"Why not?" Sylar asked. I shrugged.

"I don't really want it now.... I fought him for it for so long... and I don't know if I can handle all that responsibility and I did a lot of shit that should keep me off the throne," I told him then laid down beside him.

"Seems like Lyle has a true good reason as to why he handed you the throne tonight. Maybe he's got a plot boiling."

"Possibly," I whispered. I think he's just tired.... I sighed and took my shirt off, putting it in the floor and then took my belt off to get comfortable.

"He's our older brother, we should respect whatever he wants done." I nodded.

"Yeah... I tried to get him to be my advisor and help me with decisions, but he told me no," I whispered and then curled up, getting under the covers with him.

"So what are you going to do now that you're king? You've got some things to take care of. The council, the deaths of the Nero family, the piles of leftover resistance, the two people in the cells downstairs, and you've got a ball to plan." I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm going to make a solution for the prisoners first... and then I will come up with a way to take care of the deaths then the ball then the council and then the piles," I told him, putting them in a logical order for me. The cells would be easiest to solve... and then fixing the deaths to be good would make it easier to invite people for the ball. The ball would make it easier to deal with the council... and then I can have the council's support to fight the piles. "But... not to mention, I'll probably have to meet with the alpha of the pack here... and I still have to have time for you."

"You will always manage time for me," Sylar promised. I laughed and looked at him.

"I have to or else you might drag me in here or get me at my desk," I teased lightly. "I'm yours after all."

"I'll follow you around as your shadow if you ignore me." Sylar promised. I purred to him and then kissed his cheek.

"I'll make sure to give you plenty of attention when I can then," I promised him. "But I wouldn't mind if you followed me around."

"You'll have to." He purred. I laughed softly and then nodded, pulling him into my arms.

"How are your jaws?" I asked him curiously, kissing his lower jaw playfully. "Do they still hurt? Or can I ask Lyle to get that wizard back to fix your fangs for you yet? I doubt you want to be fangless for too long." Plus I bet he wants to mark me too. He can't without them.... Vampires claim what is theirs with their fangs. I purred to him and nuzzled my face into his neck, smelling his scent before I kissed him there and felt my fangs wanting to sharpen instinctively.

"It still hurts," he mumbled to me. "It's sore and achy. It feels like I'm hungry." I nodded.

"I'm sorry," I whispered to him and kept myself from biting him. "You can drink from me if you want," I mumbled and pulled back a little to tear my skin on my neck with my nails, making it deeper than usual as I held back a groan of pain.

"Silas, I'm not actually hungry," he whined.

"But it might not be, but does it ease the pain, just a little?" I asked softly and gave him a loving look. "My blood is yours after all. You brought me back from the dead," I mumbled. "No one else gets to bite me."

"No, it's fine." He purred to me then. "I can handle the pain." I bit my bottom lip but nodded, not wanting to force my blood on him too much. If he isn't hungry, he isn't hungry. I leaned in and kissed his lips softly before I pulled him close into my body.

"Alright Sylar," I mumbled. "Let me know when you get hungry though. You know I'll feed you."

"I know you will," he gave me a cute smile then. I laughed and then ran my fingers through his hair.

"You're so cute," I told him and then rubbed his cheek. "My sweet brother."

"Cute? Hey~" He growled playfully towards me. "How about you take me to town? Let's go out."

"Hmm... town huh?" I purred. We have time to go to town.... "Alright. Go get dressed. Take your cloak just in case," I told him. "I'll go get ready in my room. Meet me downstairs in thirty minutes." He nodded and went into his closet to get ready as told. I got up and then picked up my belt and shirt, walking out without bothering to put them back on. I went back to my room and then dropped my shirt, going into my closet to pick out something nice as I slipped my belt back on then grabbed a red and black flannel shirt and a black tank top to go under it. I put them on, leaving the flannel unbuttoned then grabbed some combat boots and put them on then went into the bathroom, fixing my hair to perfection then brushed my teeth. I glanced around, wondering if I needed anything else besides my wallet to go with my phone then smirked when I saw my favorite cologne sitting on the counter. I grabbed it and put some on, loving the intoxicating scent. I purred softly and then walked out, grabbing my wallet off the nightstand and put it in my pocket with my phone as I walked out and downstairs, slipping a watch onto my wrist under my cuff. I looked towards the time on it as I began to wait, tapping my toe a little. Where should I take him? To a dinner? Night club? A walk in a park or something? This is a date, isn't it? Or is he just wanting to hang out.... Oh well, it won't really matter in the end which it is. I still have to plan something.... Dinner first. I pulled out my phone and started scrolling through a list of famous human restaurants nearby and then called one, making a reservation in a secluded part of the restaurant when they offered it to me. I smirked and then decided to check out what was at the theatre and picked out a movie for us to watch, picking a scary movie for us to watch with a smirk. He'll cling to me during it if it's too scary.... Hopefully he doesn't get upset watching it. I put my phone up and glanced towards the stairs, wondering what he could be up to.

He suddenly walked down them, tugging at a coat as he slipped it on while holding his cloak in one arm. He had put on some jeans and a designers Aeropostal shirt. He walked up to me with a small smile as he managed to get the coat on. I purred at him and relaxed. Good, he's not too late. "Hey," I said with a playful growl and then held out my hand for his. "Are you ready? I scheduled us a dinner and a movie... and then after that we can either go to a night club, a park or something, or home. I'll leave it up to you."

"Oh~" He blushed and looked me over. "You're taking us to a dinner and movie?"

"For the first part of the night. I figured it would be a decent change to try," I told him and smirked. "Why? You don't want to? We could drive around instead."

"Oh well I thought we'd go to a vampire club or something...." He trailed off. I watched him for a few minutes then nodded.

"Okay, we can do that. We'll go ahead and go to dinner though. I already made reservations for it," I purred then started to walk to the garage, putting my hands in my pocket. It's hanging out then. That's fine with me. "We'll go to a vampire club after we're finished."

"Okay!" He gave me a smile and walked up, stealing my hand and pulling me towards the garage. I blushed slightly and watched him, deciding to keep quiet as I let him pull me along and got my keys to my car out of my pocket. We'll have to be careful in the vampire club. If someone were to recognize us and we were doing something, they'd definitely spread it around. I doubt that he'll want to do something at the club though.... He'll be too busy having fun. I took him out to my car and then got in it, starting it up and driving it out of the garage and gates. He looked excited as he looked out the window. "We're going to have so much fun," he whispered.

"Uh huh," I purred to him. Hopefully it won't be exhausting. I turned on the radio for us and smirked a bit. He hummed happily, listening to the music. I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye and then focused on driving him.

When we got to the restaurant, I took him inside. It really did look kind of fancy, but at least we weren't too out of place. "Mr. Rosario, right?" The woman behind the desk asked. I nodded. "Right this way sir," she told me and smiled, glancing me over as she got to her feet. "You wanted the secluded section right?"

"Yes, that's right," I purred. Sylar purred as he held my hand and gave it a squeeze. She smirked a little and nodded.

"Good," she told me and then started to lead us towards the back of the restaurant where there were more plants and less people and tables. She took me into a fancier corner of it that had a table with a beautiful white table cloth and a candle on it already lit for us. The area was hidden from other people's view well enough that we probably wouldn't need to worry about being noticed. She sat us down and then handed us each a menu before walking off. "Rachel will be with you shortly to take your order," she told us and smiled as she disappeared, heading back to her station. He looked the menu over curiously. I watched him for a few seconds then looked at my menu, flipping to the steaks and then picked out a good one. I glanced the drinks over and then decided on a red wine. He sat the menu down after a few seconds and blushed. I looked up at him.

"What is it?" I asked curiously and sat my menu down.

"Nothing," he mumbled. I smirked a little at him.

"You're blushing though," I teased. He shook his head.

"No I'm not." I laughed a little and then propped my head up on my hand.

"If you say so," I told him and smirked, watching him. He bit his bottom lip and slipped out of his coat, placing it on the back of his chair. I glanced around the restaurant then curiously, noticing that we were actually the only ones back in the secluded section at the moment. I sighed softly and leaned back in my seat, crossing my arms. "Did you pick something?" I asked him casually.

"Yeah," he told me and nodded. I smiled at him.

"Good, I hope this place has great food. They look impressive and it said five stars online," I told him and then glanced the table over, taking note of the rose in a small vase right next to the candle. Makes sense. I bet rich couples come back here most of the time... or business men. He nodded and sat the menu to the side. I put my menu with his and then watched him curiously. "This is okay for you, right? Being at a human restaurant? We could leave if you're uncomfortable with being here... and I'll remember not to plan a human restaurant again if you're coming with me."

"What? No I think it's cute to try..." He shrugged. "It's a really nice restaurant." Cute huh?

"Alright," I purred to him then reached out, gently taking his hand in mine and rubbed it with my thumb on the table. "I'm glad you're okay with it." It'd limit my plans next time if he wasn't.... He purred towards me with delight.

"You're glad? We could do this more often if you want to." I laughed and nodded.

"Sure, I don't mind. I'll have to make time for it though," I purred at him then brought his hand to my lips and gently kissed it. "Especially once I'm crowned at the ball it'll be hard to do these kinds of things with you."

"You can make time though! Lyle made time for others." I nodded.

"I'll have to," I purred. "You'll bite me if I don't probably," I teased him and smirked.

"Too bad I don't have fangs," he mumbled.

"You will," I promised him softly. "As soon as your jaws stop hurting, Mr. Aurelio will have your fangs grow back in," I told him. "You won't be waiting five years."

"I wouldn't mind waiting, it was worth it." He gave me a sweet smile then. I blushed and bit my bottom lip.

"Worth it?" I asked softly. He nodded.

"My fangs for your life." I blushed and looked him over then leaned over the table, kissing his cheek.

"I'll have to stay worth it," I whispered to him as I sat back in my seat and looked longingly at him. "I still want your fangs back though. I feel bad that you sacrificed something like that for me... and I know you want to mark me too."

"Well I don't mind," he purred. "I did it all for you and I won't regret it." I felt my crystal pulse at his words and I gave him a loving look. Sylar~

"I won't give you a reason to ever regret it," I promised. I'm really and truly his. How could I deny him that? "I'll always be yours." He gave me a loving look as well and purred. "I love yo-"

"Ello~ How can I help you boys today?" I heard a sweet voice ask as a girl walked up to us in a waitress's outfit and with a notepad in her hand. "I'm Rachel and I'll be your waitress for this evening~ Ooh, I love your hair," she told me and smiled sweetly then looked us over. "So what will it be?"

"Uh~ I'd like the spaghetti special." Sylar blushed. "As well as a glass of tea." She nodded and wrote it down then took his menu then looked towards me.

"And for you?" She said and smiled.

"Steak and some of this red wine," I told her, pointing to the one I wanted. She nodded and wrote it down.

"Very good choice sirs," she said happily and then took our menus. "Anything I can do to make you more comfortable while you wait for your dinner?"

"No, we're good." Sylar waved her off. She nodded and then bounced off with our orders, singing softly under her breath as she smiled. I watched her go then looked back at Sylar.

"She seemed nice," I said and laughed. She looked like a really happy person.... Sylar's attention slipped to looking around us with interest. I watched him curiously and then pulled out my phone, checking my notifications and going through them. Nothing new really... just some weird youtube stuff. Sylar's attention went to another person being set alone near us. He raised an eye slightly as he watched a guy be seated alone. I frowned a little and glanced towards the person then at Sylar. Guess I'll be watching our actions in the secluded section too. We're no longer alone. Sylar's eyes lingered on the human with interest filling them. I glanced back at the human and then sighed softly. I wonder why he's alone... and why the secluded section? He might be famous or something. I studied him for a few more minutes then looked back at the table, putting my phone up as I lightly ran my fingers over the soft table cloth. The human I had glanced at was almost ordinary. Brown curly shoulder length hair, light freckles, and strange lavender eyes. He was wearing ordinary clothes, a plain white shirt and formal black pants. I caught a sparkle from his wrist, a small charm bracelet shinning. I frowned a little and glanced back at the human, wondering if he really was human. Lavender eyes aren't really a human trait. I smelled the air secretly, taking care that Sylar wouldn't notice me doing it. I suddenly caught the small delicate scent of vampire in the air that didn't match ours. I caught scarred handprints across his wrists then. He suddenly looked my way like he knew he was being watched. I watched him calmly, not bothering to look away. I was caught anyways. What is he? A halfbreed? He watched me with confusion as if he was trying to figure out if he knew me. I watched him curiously. He must know vampire- Wait... I narrowed my eyes a little as I looked him over. I think I remember hearing something about a human running a resistance outpost... one that looks a lot like him. Oh shit! He was that outpost I was going to reach out to right before I was taken by the Nero family! His eyes adverted from me then as he looked down at his menu, loosing interest in me. I watched him curiously and tilted my head.

"I know about him," I mumbled softly. "He's Charles, the human outpost leader," I whispered and then looked him over one last time. By the looks of him, he's finished though. The Nero family got to him and then he got away. I looked back at my own table then, choosing to ignore him. There's no point in associating myself with him... not now that I'm going to be king and I'm not going to be with the resistance any longer- the piles of it anyways.

"Huh?" Sylar asked and looked towards him. "But he smells like a vampire."

"He might be a halfbreed," I told him and shrugged. "It's not impossible... as long as you have the child before the woman is turned or you conceive the child before the man is turned," I told him. "It's not 100% but it happens once in a blue moon."

"Halfbreed? I never saw one..." He mumbled. "Should we take him in? We might not get another chance like this." I shrugged.

"We could offer him a home, but he probably has one," I told him. "He'll be another decision for me to make if we take him in though. I still have to decide on what to do with Dmitri and Eva," I hummed out then looked towards Charles. "Do you want to offer him help though? He might not even be a halfbreed. He might just hang around vampires too much."

"Well don't you want to?" Sylar asked. "I'm interested." I looked Sylar over and then slowly got up.

"I'll go see," I hummed out and then walked over to him, smirking a little. "Is this seat taken?" I asked as I approached him.

"No," he told me calmly and sat the menu down. "It's been open for a while now." I laughed a little and then sat down across from him.

"My name is Silas," I told him and smirked softly. Might as well introduce myself if I'm going to poke around.

"Silas?" He asked and gave small smile. "My name is Charles."

"I thought so," I purred. "You met the descriptions of the human outpost leader. I would've reached out to you, but I was taken by the Nero family... and I'm not the resistance leader anymore. Still, I'm curious about you."

"The Nero family grabbed you? They're such liars..."  He muttered and looked away. "I was lucky enough to escape from them I suppose." I nodded.

"If you were captured, you were lucky to get away," I told him and then glanced towards Sylar. "My brother was wondering though... if you were a halfbreed," I whispered. I am too, but I'm not going to outright ask him. I looked back at Charles. "He's never seen one, and you do smell faintly of vampire." I smirked a little.

"Ah, you're confused aren't you? I'm glad it works well. No, I'm not halfbreed. This is a disguise." I raised an eyebrow. Well, he was from that really rich outpost. He could afford to get something like that. I nodded.

"Makes sense. You wouldn't want vampires to attack you," I told him and then purred. "Anyways, did you hear?"

"Hear what?" He looked confused.

"The Nero family was wiped out," I purred.

"Oh," he blushed and looked down at his lap. "That's good to hear."

"What's with that look?" I frowned then. Is he happy or upset? I can't really tell... He's blushing.

"Huh?" He looked up at me. "I'm not making a look." He frowned. I raised an eyebrow at him then nodded.

"Alright... so why are you alone?" I prodded.

"I came here to eat," he told me quickly.

"Well.... yeah, but why alone?"

"I didn't have anyone to bring with me." He shrugged. I frowned slightly and studied him then sighed, leaning back in my seat.

"Are you still with the resistance?" I asked him calmly.

"After being tricked and my outpost torn down I decided that it was time I tried something else that wouldn't get my head chopped off for. I don't have a reason to join them again. Not if I'm going to be ruined again. Even if the Nero family are dead. I'm sure there will be more to rise up." I nodded. That's always true.... Didn't he get into the resistance for the prospect of trade anyways? I watched him curiously and then tilted my head. You know, I think I just had a brilliant idea.

"How would you like to help me?" I asked suddenly.

"Help you?" He asked.

"Well yeah, I could use some help. You liked business with vampires. How'd you like a safer business? I have a problem to address and you could be of use."

"I suppose. I'm still looking for something to do." He leaned forward then.

"I'm going to be crowned king at the next ball, so I'm being left with a lot of problems," I explained then leaned forward. "My more pressing matters are at the top of my mind, but I thought of something you could do to help me with something- the piles of resistance still around. I know some vampires didn't like the laws made by my older brother and the council, some being unable to follow them due to starvation. What if we set up an aid for vampires that can't support themselves? Most don't want to go work for a royal pureblood and choose to hunt, but if we could set up a fund with the help from some council members, we could get some bottled blood being distributed to those who need help. You could help me run it and get some trading in with vampires while you're at it- not creatures or anything, but you could help sell blood for cheaper prices to those in need and help me organize a vampire aid. It might help tone down the resistance by removing the ones who are simply starving. After that, all that will be left are those who just outright refuse to give up hunting for sport."

"Well I know a place that could start selling cheep blood, sure." He nodded. "My outpost would be happy to start selling something again and seeing the faces come and go." I nodded.

"It would be a good idea... but we'll have get help from other purebloods first to help it be supported. We also have to make sure that it doesn't become a corrupt idea either," I hummed out thoughtfully. "Do you mind coming by the castle tomorrow perhaps so we can talk it over?"

"Tomorrow night...." He trailed off. "Okay, I'll come by." He nodded. "You're from the Rosario castle aren't you?"

"Yes," I told him and smirked. "This will make dealing with the rest of the resistance when we take away the ones who are simply starving. Establishing an easier supply of blood will help.... We'll also have to shut down the black markets still existing though... and we'll need to create profiles for the vampires in need so we make sure that our blood we're selling is actually going to the ones who need it, not greedy vampires. We should also see about maybe starting a program to help victims of the market... and then we also need to figure out what to do with all those dragon eggs you had I heard about. I don't think they should be destroyed.... Some would choose to do that.... We should get them back to their nests. I'll have you help me with all three tasks." He blushed.

"Oh you heard about my dragon eggs...." He bit his bottom lip. I nodded.

"Oh yes, I did," I purred. "We will need to put them back in their nests. Every single one of them unless their nests cannot be found and in which case, I have a wizard who could help with finding places for them to go."

"What?" He frowned. "That's a lot of eggs we're talking about. It'd be quicker to sell them."

"And that's a ton of dragons in the human world. No, we're going to get a task force together to return what we can, and what we can't, the wizard will help us with. He'll be interested to help anyways, so I'll probably have my brother contact him to help put them back in nests."

"That's a lot work," he sighed out. "I was making dough with them too. Not to mention the pay grade the wizards was making that I bought from to get them."

"That's true, but if we sold them, it wouldn't go great for me, and they'd overrun this place. We'd end up having to kill some. I don't want that, but if we put them back where they belong, it'll be fine and fix itself. We can keep a few, the ones that can't be returned without a ton of work, and we can give them to people approved for them," I told him and then rubbed my head. "Out of all three tasks, dealing with the dragons will probably be the hardest thing we do." I wonder if Aurelio would be interested in them.... Too bad I don't have his number. Well, I could ask Lyle. I pulled out my phone and texted him, asking him for it.

"You don't understand.... I have a whole room full of crates dedicated to dragon eggs." He rubbed his head then. "Why's it matter anyways? It's not like they're human. Your cattle." I frowned a little but only glared at him for a second. I looked back at my phone, waiting for Lyle's response. Maybe I should just put him with Dmitri instead of use him for all this. I could easily ask Esther. He sighed. "It's going to cost you."

Lyle: Well I'm sure he wouldn't mind lending a hand Silas. I'll give him a call. He's going to be upset he's got to travel back here. Mr. K.V. will be upset as well. Wish you had mentioned it before he left. Just teasing.

Me: Well, I came across someone that reminded me that I had thousands of dragon eggs to take care of. I figured we better put what we can back in nests.... I was thinking we'd let Aurelio handle the ones we can't put back and let him give them to those he knows wouldn't mistreat them.

Lyle: This is just the reason why I thought you was ready to be king. He'll lend a hand.

I smiled at that and then put my phone up and looked at Charles. "Don't forget to come by tomorrow," I told him and smirked. "I'll be expecting you." Yeah, I'm going to ignore that last comment he made. I got to my feet and then started to walk back towards Sylar with a purr. Sylar gave me a loving look, the food had already been brought to the table.

"So?" Sylar asked. I sat back in my seat and smiled.

"He's human with a disguise of vampire scent on him," I told him. "He's the human resistance outpost leader. He'll be coming by tomorrow to help me with a few projects. We've got some more problems to deal with."

"Already?" Sylar asked and nodded as he ate his food.

"Yeah, I forgot about all the dragon eggs abandoned at a torn down outpost," I told him. "I need to get them back to nests and then make sure that the eggs that can't go home can find a new home that is better than what would happen if they're sold.... Then I decided to help starving vampires by setting up an easier blood trade and then I'm going to set up an aid for victims of the black markets," I hummed out, summarizing what I came up with. I took a bite of my steak and held back a moan as the taste was spectacular, almost melting in my mouth. He nodded and started to focus on eating his meal, looking pleased by it. I watched him and purred softly as I ate my meal and drank my wine. When we were finished and I paid the bill, I took him out to the car, rubbing his lower back as I kept my arm around him. "So let's go find a vampire club," I purred in his ear, keeping close to my brother.

"If you don't mind, I think I rather go see a movie~" He gave me a loving look. I raised an eyebrow at him but nodded.

"Okay, if that's what you want," I purred and then kissed his neck softly as I got the car door for him. He purred towards me and got in. I closed the door for him and went around to the other side, getting in the driver's seat. "We can see a scary movie or a romance," I suggested, smirking as I started up the car. He might have more fun with a romance.

"I want to see a scary movie," he told me. I raised an eyebrow as his decision surprised me a little.

"Wow," I purred and then leaned over, kissing his neck. "I didn't think you would pick the scary movie," I purred in his ear and then looked back at the car, starting to back us out of our parking space to get us to the movie theatre.

"I think I can handle it," he said confidently.
