"Please don't kill them…" Valah said as she stood in front of me.
"Yeah! Listen to her! Our parents won't let you live for another day if you touch even a single hair on us!" Shouted the leader of the group of noble drunktards.
"Shut up Varon!" Valah snapped back at the leader of the group of noble drunktards.
"Yo-you! Told me to shut up?! You crazy bitch! Just because your father is a king's guard, doesn't make you special. My father can call on the king to hang yours, that's the power difference between our two worlds." Varon threatened.
"You know what? I take it back. Kill them. Because if you don't then I certainly will."
Valah started to walk towards them, her hand on the pommel of her blade. The temperature in the dining hall started to drop. Her power was being amplified by the power ring. I knew the ring had an amplifier effect but what made the ring special was the fact that it doubles the effect on elemental magic. It wouldn't do much if I wore it since I'm a healer but it's a perfect match for Valah.
"Oh my god! Look at the wonton noodle soup! It's starting to freeze!" Squealed some of my students.
"Who is she?" asked some of my other students. "She's badass."
Before Valah could reach the group, a loud shout stopped her in her tracks.
"Stop!"
Heavy footsteps echoed throughout the dining hall as a group of heavily armoured men marched towards us.
Once they arrived, they stood in formation. The dining hall was now in complete silence. It's as if everyone in the hall had clamped their mouths shut, hoping to not make a single noise.
The guy in the middle looked down towards the person who laid on the floor in his own pool of blood.
Lucifer what have you done… the guy's clearly unconscious but still alive. I'm actually keeping him alive by using helping hand. The bleeding had finally stopped but he won't wake up any time soon.
"What happened here? Who did this to my brother!" The man shouted so loud, I felt his booming voice in my chest.
{"I did."}
The man looked up from his unconscious brother to Lucifer.
"What did you say monster?"
{"He's not dead if that's what your wondering. My master could easily heal him up but here's the thing. I'm no saint, I'm the devil. Your brother can not change his fate. Even if he lives, his soul belongs to demon's land."}
"I don't care what you say monster! I, Tarlo Mactrice, Captain of the Beast Master Corp is here to take you down, monster!" Tarlo voice boomed as everyone in his Beast Master Corp summoned their beasts.
I couldn't tell what kind of beast they were but some of them has features that's similar to the ones back in my world. One of the beasts looked like an overgrown silverback with tree trunk arms. Another looked like a serpent from Harry Potter but if the Basilisk had wings. There were also beasts that looked like something straight out of a Yu Gi Oh Gx Crystal beasts deck.
I looked to Lucifer and he didn't even seemed fazed at any of this, in fact he just smiled manically.
{"Awww what cute animals you have there. Here, let me call out mine. Cerbi!"}
{"Arooo!"}
{"Argrrrr!"}
{"Achooo!… woof."} *Heavy panting sounds.*
Shot out from my shadow was Cerbi, a cute little three headed puppy. Compared to Cerbi's size over the beasts present, they towered over him.
"What the fuck is that disgusting looking creature? Is that little thing going to fight our beasts? Don't make me laugh!" Tarlo laughed.
"Aww look at the cute puppy!" I heard all of my students say behind me. I felt a tug on my shirt and I looked behind me. Stella, Rain and Lucy had concerned looks on their faces.
"Teach, what's happening?" Stella asked looking at the beasts a few metres away from us.
"Sir, you don't need to worry about Hannah. I just talked to her and she said she's fine. She said she would like to thank you for saving her." Rain said reassuringly.
"Sir, who are those shadowy beings that came out of nowhere and protected Hannah?"
{"Master, allow me to answer her."}
From my shadow, rose a shadow being that shaped into a girl that looked like the same age as my students. Aria.
{"Hello."}
"Woah!" Lucy stumbled back.
"Oh my…" Rain said softly.
"Holy shit!" Stella exclaimed. She leaned forward and examined her.
{"I'm Aria. My big brother is the man over there beside the man that saved your fellow student, Gambert. He is the General of our little group. We are known as the Shadow Legion and your teacher is our master."}
Aria talked calmly and elegantly.
Stella, Rain and Lucy looked at each other.
"She called you master teach. What does she mean by that?" Asked Stella.
"Is there something you're not telling us?" Questioned Rain.
"We're with you no matter what, Sir." Lucy gave me a soft but sad smile.
I didn't know how to respond. I couldn't tell them anything about our past lives just yet. I wanted to but for their safety and my future plans, I can't. I'm not out for revenge as much as I needed to stop what will happen in the future from becoming a reality.
I remembered everything, the final moments as I watched the life fade from Rain's eyes. I felt helpless then. I couldn't do anything to protect them and with everything I've seen so far in this life, I know I'm still in the dark about everything. If my past life was a shielded tragedy, then this life gave me a hard dose of the truth about what's behind the curtains.
"Stella, Rain, Lucy, my students. There are things I can't tell you right now but believe me that when this is all over, I'll tell you guys everything."
"Okay teach. You promise right?" Stella looked to the side. She then mumbled, "Ní thabharfaidh mé maithiúnas duit mura ndéanann tú sin…"
"Stella! I didn't know you knew Irish." Exclaimed Lucy with wide eyes.
"You knew that was Irish?" Stella looked stunned as she stared at her friend.
"I listened to many Irish songs. It kind of helps me study." Lucy shrugged. "My fav is Tír na nÓg. There's a very neat folklore about that song."
"Yeah that's a very good song, Lucy."
"So is one of your family member, Irish?" Lucy inquired.
"Yeah, my dad's Irish. I talk Irish with him at home. Wait, so you know what I just said?"
"No? It just sounded Irish that's all. What did you say in Irish?" Asked Lucy.
"I said, 'I won't forgive you, if you don't…'"
Stella looked at me with pouted lips.
"Sir do you promise?" Asked Rain.
It was then my whole class asked the same thing. I guess they were listening in on our conversation.
I scratched the back of my head and nodded.
"Yes. I promise you guys. When this is all over, I will tell you all everything."
With them satisfied with my answer, I turned my head back around to the battle that's about to unfold.
Cerbi was howling at the squadron of beasts that growled back at him. He was tiny but his howls were matching the growls from his opponents.
{"You think all those creatures can beat my Cerbi? Come on! Bring more out!"}
"Don't be so arrogant monster! Your little disgusting thing will soon meet it's demise and it won't even take a second. No, our beasts will be your opponents."
{"Cerbi, have fun feasting!"} Lucifer stared down the Beast Master Corp for only a second before he shook his head and shrugged and gave me a thumbs up.
{"Arooo! AROOO!"}
{"Agrrr! AGRRR!"}
{"Awooo! AWOOO!"}
The three headed puppy howled as it's tiny body began to transform. It started to grow. It grew so much, Cerbi was now the one towering over the other beasts. Cerbi looked like a giant three headed shadow war hound covered in shadow flames. Basically if Fluffy was on fire and was a shadow creature then that's what Cerbi had turned into.
"What the fuck is that!" Tarlo shouted as he looked up at the now massive three headed shadow dog that's on fire.
All of their beasts are now cowering in fear. I could see that they could feel the killing intent that's aimed at them.
One of Cerbi's head shot forward and snapped at one of the beasts and that beast flinched so hard out of fear, not a second later, the beast unsummoned itself.
"Go! It's just one monster beast. There are so many of you, just work as a team and take that monster down!"
Cerbi doubled down on the fear by actually devouring one of the beasts. That did the trick as all the other beasts unsunmoned themselves too.
"Come back out! Fuck!"
"Tarlo brother, maybe we could lend a hand."
There was a crowd that had now formed around us as everyone in the dining hall was now interested in this fight. From the crowd emerged a group of similar looking knights.
"Cabian brother! And the Elites?! Oh that monster is so dead!"
Cerbi gave the newly emerged group barely a glance before all three of it's head, yawned. Cerbi transformed back into a puppy and went back into my shadow.
"Where did that creature go?" Asked Cabian towards Lucifer.
{"Cerbi just wanted to play with the other beasts but they all ran off, so he was starting to get bored and went back to master."}
"Then you fight us. All of you monsters fight us!"
Cabian drew his sword and aimed it at Lucifer.
Lucifer raised an eyebrow before turning his head to Gambert. Gambert shrugged and simply said, {"They're all yours."}
Lucifer smiled brightly at those words.
{"I alone with fight you all. Those Beasts can come back out too!"}
"What arrogance. Just you will fight all of us?! Don't make me laugh!"
{"Oh? I fairly certain I can take on all of you by myself."}
"Your funeral."
Lucifer was about to step forward when another voice came into the mix.
"Wait! Don't fight just yet."
Another group of people emerged from the crowd and the one leading it was Marlos.
