"Boss, we've already posted the challenge," Reina reported.
The Boss smiled. "That's fast Reina," she replied. "Things will start to get interesting from now on." the Boss laughed.
"Yes. I'll take my leave now Boss" Reina bowed and left.
"See you Reina!" the Boss waved.
As Reina returned to her desk, she thought of the things that she would need to do. 10KAI has been running for a year already and has steady and stable growth. Their company is known for their hackathons and online challenges. She respected her boss for her ways of attracting new recruits by picking on their minds. They have multiple submissions everytime, however, no one gets it right. It's not that the answer was wrong but...
"The fuck with these people?! Do they only know how to code?! Who the fuck ignores optimization?!" a booming voice filled the entire station. "Yanagi, burn all these! I don't want to spend time with these senseless fucks!"
"Horimachi!" Reina called out. "What's wrong with you?!"
"Odayuki-san, Master has always been like that no? Well, he's not happy with the submissions coming in," Yanagi tried to calm her down.
"Haaa? Master? Why the heck will you call him master??" Reina blurted out.
Ryo noticed Reina's presence and scooted over. "Oy Reina. Look at these submissions if you're curious. These are not interesting at all! What low standards they have!"
Reina sighed. "Calm down Ryo and stop bothering the place. There are people working. Plus, not everyone is as picky as you!"
"Ha?" Ryo looked at her and chuckled. "If I'm not picky, we'll not be getting 'those' lady," Ryo points at the glass cabinet behind her and smirks.
She sighed. "I get it. But it doesn't mean you can bombard this place with that foul mouth of yours," she waved and left.
Reina forgot one important thing. 10KAI is not just known for their challenges and hackathons. They're known for their insane quality standards; and the guy that made that happen.
Horimachi Ryo.
