Chapter 249 - Chapter 249: Kingdom Math

Kiel pondered as Ophir and Nevi reported that the cracks were getting strange. He started to recall the genealogy of any time honoured household and came to a conclusion that Cyrus was involve, so is Resh. Kiel can now understand the story behind the crack and hole happening on the dimension.

Kiel spoke to Kennan before he left and he learned that every time honoured people can seal and connect to the next time line and frame but no one is able to throughly get back to the past unless it was for random mission like his late grand parents. If Kiel would follow through the line then. Ophir and Nevi are his ancestors which was odd in every situation.

If they could jump in to a well to save themselves then that could have been a great hope but a single well is equivalent to one person only. Kiel can't help but think that if this time would disappear what will happen to the future? That is when Kennan told him that it might end their lives and generation. Clinically it will be like they never existed.

But when Kiel heared Fur and the old man's story there is a chance that the future is safe since they did not allow their time to perish. His suggestion sent Kennan to work.

"What if you seal us in a book before this era ends then the future won't be affected?" Kiel voiced out.

Kennan set out to find out something about the issue only to be notified that even if they will be sealed as a book it won't be put on any shelves it will be rejected.

Kiel can't help but drop on his knees and prayed.

"Our Lord who has put us in such a time like this.. Please hear our prayer because this is not just about us. Hear our prayer because this is for your glory. Hear our prayer because this is for your nation, people and Kingdom. Hear us.

I plead this case in your presence. I am here in full faith and boldness to speak out my heart. Help us through to bring back the light that has shone from our ancestors. May your promise be fulfilled and satisfied. Amen."

His desperate prayer got heared and answered when Kennan visited him a while ago. He reported that if they successfully seal the cracks they can push through but if something goes wrong then they needed to rely on the same whistle who brought their lives to ruin. Upon hearing it. Kiel was about to visit Ophir's tent only to caught them leaving. He trailed and found them sealing another crack.

"Therefore we need to trust Ophir's heart if worse comes to worst." Kiel explained.

"What do you mean by that?" Ophir asked.

"There was no guarantee that sealing the cracks was the right option." Kiel sadly notified.

The gang fell silent and waited for the morning to overcome the evening sky.

They prepared the meal trying to cover up their concern.

Ophir was not confident to blow the whistle. All he had was his yearning to see his wife and child. Nevi can see his uneasiness. Urchin remain silent as Ophir and Nevi tried to figure things out.

The young boy approach them and said.

"Do you want me to blow the whistle if it get worst?" His suggestion halted the two in their track.

Cyprus heared from Cyrus that Nevi and Ophir were not from their era and that the two were put and relocated because of the devine assignment. When Cyrus learned from Urchin that he will die if they contradict Ecles's rebellion. He was prepared. Just like Gardenia he asked the boy to remain silent but Cyprus knew his twin brother.

When he heared everything. Cyprus was forced to obey every rule and standard left by Cyrus. He losed a lot of friends that he grew up with. His other half passed away and now he needed to silently survey how the kids will be doing. He knew about the time crack possibility he heared it before from one of the witches whenever he was targeted as the best vessel and sacrifice for that reason.

Cyprus can't afford to act recklessly fully knowing that he is now a father of three. When ever the three left the cracks sealed he would sanctify it as the witch advised. He would use his own blood to lock the cracks. But when he heared about the whistle from Kiel and Kennan he can't help but watch and observe Ophir's ways.

Cyprus also knew that there was another ritual to save their era it was to sacrifice a child from their blood line. Urchin is the best candidate but it will be a huge fight for Kiel and Lila. If Cyprus would sacrifice one of his son then Natalina will never forgive him. Cyprus sighed making Natalina glanced up at him.

"Your not yet asleep? It's already late."

His wife asked in concern.

"Say, do you believe that sacrifice has a great rule for every nation?" Cyprus voice out.

Natalina sat up and cuddled with him.

"Nope, I do believe it's mercy."

Cyprus felt like all the clog of thought clouding his vision instantly vanished.

Cyrpus watched as Fur continually invent a wooden wheel wage with the kids to ride in. Cyprus cannot imagine losing one of his son. His mind got blocked when Sage sat beside him.

"Your kids is starting to love Fur."

Cyrpus just grinned and Sage slapped him.

"Why would you slap me?!" Cyprus asked.

"It's because you looked suspicious. It felt like at any moment your gonna threw your self in the flame." Sage stated.

Cyprus did not respond which made Sage to slap him again.

"Why would you do it for the second time around?!" Cyprus yelled as he grasp his face.

"To take back your senses? And I felt like doing it since your face look ridiculous." Sage added.

"Don't think of anything abrupt. It won't only be you. The whole Tale Bearers will be affected. Learn from that."

Sage's words were like a gravity that pulled him back to reality.
