Chapter 173 - Chapter 173: Prison of Kingship

"This is the world where our wants is not enough. Laugh to release that tension. Move even if it's all about instinct. That pinshot your in is not an accident. It is meant to be." Sotai's first word as Cyrus got sat on the throne. Cyrus rake free the itchiness coming from those previous throw back. Cyrus put on his robe and visited the treasure room. Today is the 161 letter from Gardenia. The white paper carried her henna perfume.

It's been a habbit since Gardenia was gone that he would visit this room before exiting the room as a king.

"Good morning my beloved king. It tough to deal with other people but it's harder for a father to win against his own son. Don't spoil him but be considerate. Try to do the unexpected for him and you'll see why I always root for him.

Love from the queen of your heart."

Cyrus fold it back once more and stock it inside his new box. He asked Cyprus and sage to build a treasure box but they handed him a finish product of resembling a coffin. Cyrus put on his training gear and fetch his rod. Cyrus wonders what would the unexpected thing he would do for Kiel since they will have a combat at the dungeon.

When Cyrus entered the training hall he got welcomed by Kiel's cane. Cyrus blocked it with his rod and pushed him backward to establish his posture and spoke.

"What kind of morning greeting is that? Aside from your heel are unbalanced, Your wrist are screaming from being twisted. Stand straight and bow your head."

Cyrus firmly pointed as he used his rod to instruct Kiel.

Kiel was surprised that his father asked him to walk around with him as they venture unto the ancestral tower behind the garden. It was said to be the first queen's favourite place. Cyrus unlocked the tower with his full name and it activated. The tower's circular door roll out to the side. Cyrus gestured him to follow and said.

"This is Sotai's request the night before he unexpectedly died. That if ever the rod choose you. You need to learn how to use it. I honestly don't know what to expect but I have to lock you in here for seven days. I won't ask you to survive. I hope you thrive well son."

Ain avoided his father's axe but his bangs got snipped. Ain watched his next swing when Waheb's fist got connected with his jaw that made him embrace the wall. Ain groaned and shouted.

"Yeah dad! Your so great and all but you could have been gentler."

Waheb just wave at him and bowed to. greet Cyrus.

When Cyrus saw the situation he can now understand where that yell was coming from.

"Waheb sorry but today is more on emotional training. I am switching you out. Kish will arrive soon."

Ain scrubbed the back of his head as he recalled not being able to know where is Kiel at the moment. He heared the instructions from Cyrus but Ain refused the training which made Waheb released a lengthy lecture. Ain wiped himself and put on his regular garment. His green forest turtle neck and brown cream pants.

Ain knocked at his parent's door and apologised for complaining. He assured that he will thoroughly deal with all his previous issues. When Cyprus came to escort him Ain can feel his fist getting balled. Cyprus glanced at him and watched how Ain's facial expression changed.

"You okay? You look constipated." Cyprus inquired.

Ain excused himself and visited the comfort room. Ain scowled at himself since this always happen whenever he gets too nervous.

Kiel walked around to see a cylindrical stairs leading upward and downward. "This look like the Myrhh Cinnamon but it is a mini version." Kiel whispered to himself.

He looked back to check the wall and found a lot of symbols scribbled on each stairs. Kiel grabbed the pencil and paper that was given by Cyrus.

Kiel never imagined that he will be redrawing something like this. Kiel felt like his family was hidding something mysterious as he heared from all of the nobles in every gathering ever since he was a child.

Kiel always recieved the compliment from the elders that his aura was like of the late Celicia. Kiel stared at the painting. He never recalled seeing that face before. Her face look so beautiful and young. Kiel admired her suit and clothings. Her aura gives out the same presence that the Tale Bearer brings. Kiel brushed off the thought fully knowing the two. Kiel can't help but worry for Lehi.

Kiel retrieved his device coming from his small bag given by Cyrus. He connected to Lehi and saw Hexel arguing with someone from behind her.

"Hey, you looked blooming, I don't really get it but I am suddenly worried about you."

Lehi gave him a bright smile and said that she is doing well.

When Lehi captured the symbol writen on Celicia's painting and quarried.

"Where are you right now Kiel?"

Kiel responded and told her the whole story.

" I see then I will answer the first symbol I saw behind you. The painting behold a pendant with the symbol of time."

Kiel studied the pendant and was indeed a clock with a unknown fashion.

"Then what does it convey?"

Kiel asked as he point at it and Lehi just replied honestly.

"It means borrowed."

Kiel thanked Lehi but muttured to himself.

"How did Lehi knew about it?"

Ain finally sat in front of Kish who is younger than him for a year.

"I sometimes felt awkward talking to you. I don't know how to adress you."

Ain blurted out honestly. Kish just chuckled at him and said.

"You can call me Kish. I mean there is no need for formalities."

Kish layed his hand on Ain and gave him a encouraging nod. Ain took it as a cue to open a locket that's been pushed down within his soul.

"I honestly cannot tell you anything but here is for sure. I have been longing for this kind of help to reach me."
